Cosmetology
The career i want to pursue my life with is cosmetology. Being a cosmetologist is a unique job, depending on what your working with. Its different then alot of jobs, because you do different things with every customer. I think it would be alot of fun to be able to dye hair, cut hair, and style hair. I like to talk alot, and speaking to people is easy for me, and in cosmerology you have to talk to your customers or clients.
Becoming a cosmetologist does not take very much schooling. Usually people go from 6-12 month course( Sassoon np). Unlike doctors hair schooling is quick, usually not over a year and a half. Doctors do years and years. Students who want to become a hair dresser or cosmetologist need to attend

a professsionaal school to learn. They should do some practice rounds on people before doing it on a regular basis( Sassoon np). Supposedly from 2012 to 2022 the job outlook will go up 13% or more(Barbers, np).
Hair dressers do not always make low income. Some make more than alot of people. If you own a business, and depending how many clients and prices, you culd make alot of money. Tips also come with this job. Cosmetologty is needed everywhere. So the job will never be scarce. Stamina is good to have due to standing on your feet alot(Barbers, np).
Personal skills for this job are leadership and management(Cosmetologists, np). In high school everyone who wants to be a cosmetologists should take accounting classes. Practicing cutting, coloring, and others things is very important to becoming a cosmetlogist. Cosmetologists also do nail work, waxing, and makeup. I will have to be able to do a variety of different hairstyles on different types of hair.
After doing the research on cosmetology still sounds like a fun job. Im a person who gets really bored doing the same thing everyday. I work better with hands on things also. Being a hair dresser would let me do different styles on people, and color their hair different everyday. At the same time its a job though. I ould make decent money if I had alot of clients, or if I started my own business. Maybe, since I talk alot, my people would come back. Cosmetology sounds like a job I would really

My career goals as a cosmetologist are to bring quality service to my clients. Helping them feel their best selves, both inward and outward. I plan to work in a salon as a hairstylist/colorist, always learning and advancing my art.
A Cosmetologist has many tasks to tend to about his/her day. They do anything from shampooing, coloring, cutting, or styling hair. They may also wax, apply makeup, tend to wigs, and also nail and skin care. Styling hair include straightening, curling, perming, waving, braiding, up-dos, and hair for special events, such as proms or weddings. They use many different tools and for a variety of things. They have to learn how to use all of these tools during their training time. These tools include scisso...

It all began my freshman year of high school when I was told about elective classes that would help me decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always had a passion for doing hair, make-up, and nails so that was easy for me to choose an elective. My freshman and sophomore year I decided I would take cosmetology classes. I would spend two hours each day of school in the cosmetology lab, which was always cold and smelled like hairspray, burnt hair from the straighteners or a strong acetone smell that someone gets a whiff of at a nail salon. We learned so much material and I had a good time practicing my skills on manikins and other classmates. One thing I didn’t enjoy was the gossip and drama, but of course one would expect that from a class
A lot of women love to look good on a day to day basis, so a cosmetologist is what they need. A cosmetologist is a beauty specialist who is educated in doing hair, makeup, and nails. It’s very interesting because you get to be creative, have fun, have people looking gorgeous, and get paid for doing something you love. In this paper, you will be introduced to a lot of information in the field of cosmetology. Learning about the history and background, requirements to obtain the career and job positions will be covered throughout this paper. Towards the end you’ll get a touch of the job reflection and outlook. A lot of great information is listed, so there should be plenty of it learned.
From an educational website “Board of Barbering and cosmetology” the more important skills are (Active listening, speaking, monitoring, social perceptiveness, service orientation, critical thinking) for the customers to have that mentality of "that’s the barber he/she is the one" having skills that do this create loyal clientele. Skills that conclude the art of barber (Coordination, operation analysis, judgment and decision making, active learning, reading comprehension, time management, customer and personal service, English language and many other languages, sales and marketing) have hand to eye and cashier principals. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times is the key to perfect quality. Work styles, knowledge, and skill will all have scenes and usage; there is many more but the typical topics are mostly learned and used
The practice of improving the beauty of others may seem insignificant to some but for those in process of studying the cosmetology industry take great pride in the work they hope to produce. Hair stylist and nail technicians improve the way people look and feel about oneself to better improve self confidence; cosmetologist strive to do the best they can to achieve the look that their client may be searching for. However, these techniques must be taught thoroughly and without the proper teaching techniques, the upcoming cosmetologist may feel behind and uncertain about their abilities when performing on clients. Without the proper and professional ways of teaching, the student struggle to ever gain success in the business; this business builds only from the repetition of great work and failing to achieve the overall style of the desired look from the client will result in a failing business. The search of finding a successful and up to date school requires more work than one may assume.
Choosing a career is one of the many big decisions we must encounter in life. Two careers that interest me are an Orthodontist and a Lawyer. Though both careers are interesting, pursuing a career as an Orthodontist would be better because I can help people achieve a perfect, celebrity smile, gain confidence, and smile uncontrollably.
All together the career of becoming an interior designer is a career that I could see myself pursuing because it has many interest that I would like to explore and also it is a career that I see as a great beginning for the future of my adult life into becoming a more better and skilled designer whether it’s an interior designer or fashion designer or graphic designer.
...ons for myself, I’m only good at doing that for other people. Good jobs for me would be a philosopher, writer or theologian. I really don’t want to be any of those things. All these career choices are very far away from both a Flight Attendant and a Developmental Therapist. I don’t really think that I could ever be happy as a flight attendant, it feels too limited. However, I do think that there are other career options that involve traveling that I would enjoy more. I would like the sense of freedom that traveling freely around the world would give me. However, I know that I need stability and comfort in my life, coming back to a place I call home is important to me. Hopefully, I will find a job or position that fully uses my talents and allows me to experience the world but also gives me the chance to think and implement things that can help improve the world.
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
