This paper will focus only on female major characters which are Fantine, Cosette and Eponine, and the social injustices that they face. As Hugo said: "The scared law of Jesus Christ governs our civilization…..but it weighs only upon the women, and it is called prostitution" (323). This is an evidence that the women suffered from the social injustice more than men. Through Fantine, a young woman without family to support her to live in a life of poverty. We can see the picture of oppressed women. She is seduces by Félix Tholomyès (her bourgeois boyfriend), this is as an experiment for her. Eponine represents the weak daughter despite her bad behavior with Cosette because she was following her parents in everything. That shows how is father and mother is a big role in determining the values and morals upon the children. Her parents shows that the social injustice it is not only from the society. Eponine suffers from her family injustice. After period of time, her family inn goes bankrupt, they live in dirty and poverty. To help her family, she visit a church to asks for charitable. "Love forces her to choose between loyalty to her family (the Thenardiers) and their way of life, and her desire to impress her beloved Marius" (Fernie. "Character Studies.."). That appears in Paris, Eponine met Marius and fell in love with him, that reflects the good side of her personality and at the same time she was able to do anything to shows how she is good and wants to help him, and how she is good for her family and she wants to help them also. Eponine end up with sacrifice herself for the one she loves. That’s appears when the solider about to shoot Maruis, she steps between them taking the shot
