Over the last decade, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as an inescapable priority for companies all over the world. Governments, activists, and the media have to a greater extend become adept at holding companies account for the social consequences of their business activities. As a result, companies are increasingly being ranked on their CSR performance. Sustainable clothing that is still luxurious. An unusual concept but this is what Peter Ingwersen, an established Danish designer, has set out to achieve with the launch of his dual luxury fashion brand Noir-Illuminati II. The launch of the socially aware brand has brought a ‘totally new concept’ to the fashion industry promoting Corporate Social Responsibility in an industry that has been slower to take responsibility for the impact its production is having on the environment. Ethical fashion is usually associated with basic, plain t-shirts and loungewear in neutral colors with organic slogans printed on the front. Peter has taken an entirely new approach to the concept designing clothing that is fashionable, wearable and still has ‘sex appeal’ which he himself describes as the “missing element” in the ethical fashion market. Today, fashion is not only garments; fashion is increasingly about expressing yourself, your personal identity and about infusing clothes with deeper meaning. It is an important aim for Noir to provide its customers with stylish and unique fashion, while also appealing to the social and environmental conscience of the women wearing Noir. Noir Illuminati II is a Danish luxury fashion label with a conscience. The brand is based on a forward-thinking and ethical business model. Peter Ingwersen, the head designer, founded Noir in 2005 and rem... ... middle of paper ... ...I’s fabrics in Noir’s collections, Noir indirectly indicates that Illuminati II is able to live up to its high standards. This argument is well illustrated by using the yin & yang philosophy, since Noir and Illuminati II, like yin & yang, represent two poles of existence, which are opposite but complementary. According to Chinese Taoism, Yin & yang are dependent, opposing forces that flow in a natural cycle, always seeking balance. Although they are opposing, they are not in opposition to one another; they are merely two aspects of a single reality. Noir symbolizes the dark, mysterious underworld by connoting wealth, power, sin, sex, and seduction whereas Illuminati II represents the light or enlightenment, intellectually as well as religiously, and connotes purity and innocence. Hence, the brands represent two contrasting, yet dependent, aspects of a single reality.
The Order of the Illuminati plays apart in everyday life. As it is known for its conspiracies against the government, there are other known leverages that this secret society has. For example, one could be watching entertainment on celebrities such as: Beyonce, Celine Dion, Tupac, Led Zeppelin, Slayer, Pantera, Sublime, &c. As the cameras aim in their direction, someone begins to notice conspiracy-like lyrics about rebelling, hand symbols will be thrown up, and assumptions will begin to be made. The concept or belief that said people are associated with the Illuminati could either be completely bogus or misread. Due to modern day appeal, society correlates secret societies with Satanism. This is not completely accurate. Due to research and found articles from the past, studies have shown that these said occults were originally Jesuit based. The 18th Century Enlightenment period was full of philosophers that believed there were more to human morals than creationism. The flow of time, space, and factual based evidence influenced 18th Century philosophers. They were well-known to create their own societies based on scientific belief.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a movement that aims to promote a greater awareness of how business activities and decisions influence corporate environment, stakeholders, and society in general. Adam Lindgreen and Valerie Swaen’s article “Corporate Social Responsibility” addresses this broad topic in a more narrow direction of CSR implementation as it discusses the most important stages of this process. While this article relies only on the previous research, it provides unique insights into CSR and even challenges the common views of this concept as the authors thoroughly analyze their secondary sources.
The illuminati are a group of people who claim to have unusual religious enlightenment. This group is known all over the world as an elite secret society that controls the world. The members of this group include many world leaders such as Presidents of the United States, English royalty, bank owners, movie producers and even owners of major food corporations such as McDonalds (Fritz 2). The members of this group have the power to control every aspect of the modern economy. Most people believe that the modern Illuminati are exactly the same as it was when it first began, but that is not true. Origins of the Illuminati can be traced back to 500 B.C in Egypt (BBC America N.P). The illuminati mascot is the eye of Horus. The eye of Horus is also known as the all Seeing Eye. This symbol has been placed on U.S currency, clothing brands and more.
Fashion in the 21st century is a big business, as its production employs millions of people and generates billions of dollars in revenue. Fashion has for the past century been, and is still today, used as an indicator of social change and progress, as it changes with the social norms of the society and the political changes of the world (Finkelstein 3). Across the nation feelings are bruised, hearts are broken, and reputations are tarnished, as a result of the need to be accepted through the clothing that one wears. Clothing and apparel are designers’ ways of making consumers believe that they need a certain product to reach a level or sophistication, or have a certain sense of pride, or even belong in a certain group of people. Fashion is a growing industry that people use to present their characteristics and emotions through the...

Firstly, the Illuminati created resentment within the French commoners towards the upper class. The Illuminati then preached of ideals, such as equality, that were uncommon during that time period. The commoners bought into this. The Illuminati then organized rebellions to take over certain French fortresses, to seize power from the upper class. The rest is believed to be history, as rioters would go on to kill the king and queen, uprooting the French monarchy, only to have it replaced by a dictatorship, when Napoleon, the greatest conqueror to have ever lived, became
I hope to use this article in essay to support the policy section of my claim. Finding solutions to fast fashion is one of the harder topics to write about, and this article gives good insight to how I can shape the policy portion of my claim. I will bring up the idea of organic cotton, and other sustainable fiber plants, as a way consumers can shop more ethically. This article has broaden my perspective to possible solutions of fast fashion.
The word Illuminati was viewed as an “evil” term and was never used during the 1800’s. (The history of the Illuminati. Myron Fagon Epic Tree Video, 1964) As time went on, power was gained. What many do not know is that the Illuminati was behind this killing of the Rominovs, the Czar of Russia along with his family. (Carr, William Guy. Pawns in the game San Fransisco: Imation Publishing 1977) This occurred because the Czar learned of the Illuminati’s plan. What m...
Fashion plays an important role in the lives of billions all over the world; people, as part of a status craving society, turn to “fashion capitals” of the world for ways in which to dress and carry themselves. New York, Milan, and Paris are leaders among this fierce industry that the world lusts after. Fashion can speak volumes about ones personality, or also about the condition the world is in at the time. In France, fashion changed rapidly and feverously as the times changed.
Sustainable fashion, or eco fashion, is trending and transcending throughout ethnicities and geographical localities, and according to haute couture brand and designer Stella McCartney (Vogue, May 2007), it is affixing itself permanently in the look books of celebrated designers. Progressive entrepreneurs and designers alike are inspired by sustainability to fashion apparel fabricated from organic and natural fibres such as hemp and Mohair, and are attesting that eco-couture does not have to be “hippy-Esq.” through their minimalistic, contemporary designs. Although fashion design is not the only design discipline which is being strongly influenced by
Since its initial establishment, the leather jacket has achieved an iconic status in the fashion industry. Its current cultural meaning
It is certain that people are getting more used to wasting products that are still reliable to use and, especially in fashion, not that many people are aware of the concept of sustainability. Although concept of recycling paper, plastic and glass has now spread a cross the states, people still doesn’t know how to recycle or reuse their clothing. “65 pounds of clothing and textiles a year are improperly discarded and only an eight of that goes to charities for reuse [1].” This indicates how unaware people are when it comes to taking care of their garments. Or rather, the way in which fast fashion industry promotes the value of cloth is very low, and it is because the fashion industry wants people to get rid of their clothing as soon as possible in order to sell their new colle...
A look at the fashion industry and the influence the consumer mindset yields over it is apparent. In the past 10 years a close look at this industry reveals an emerging trend in the consumer mindset. It’s been termed as the ethical clothing consumption. We see the industry taking note of it as well.
Sustainable fashion is among the developing design viewpoint and movement of sustainability with the main objective of establishing a structure, which can be sustained for the foreseeable future in terms of conservationism and social accountability. This implies that all the products made are developed with much consideration to the environmental and social influence all through its overall lifetime encompassing its carbon imprint. It is revealed that sustainable fashion is not just a short time trend but one, which could endure for a long time (Fletcher 76). Beforehand, conservationism used to represent itself in the fashion world through the contribution of a portion of transactions of products for a charitable reason.
