In the beginning The Order collected money lawfully through insurrection. The Order proposed on and successfully obtained a trail-clearing settlement. Soon after members of The Order could not keep up with the labor, resulting into robbery. On April 1983 The Order committed their first offense when they robbed a Spokane porn shop. From the robbery they got a total of $369. Mathews, Percy, Duey, and Bauer were the men that planned the robbery. Both fraud and robberies expanded into new and smarter ways. Having a familiar idea on how they rob, their performance started to expand further into profit making. In December 1983 Matthews robbed a Seattle Citibank with a note, and walked out with $29,500.
