Condoleezza Rice once said “Life is full of surprises and serendipity. Being open to unexpected turns in the road is an important part of success. If you try to plan every step, you may miss those wonderful twists and turns. Just find your next adventure-do it well, enjoy it-and then, not now, think about what comes next.” Rice is a perfect example of success and is someone to admire. Whether she is overcoming racism, sexism, or age, she still succeeds in life. Condoleezza is a great image and role model for aspiring and emerging leaders.
Condoleezza Rice started off her life with many obstacles that she was forced to overcome throughout her life. Rice was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama in 1954. During this time Alabama was segregated and did not see woman as one fit for a leadership …show more content…

She obtained an assistant and associate professor position at Stanford University. Rice held a position on the National Security Council. In 1993, she was the youngest and first woman to become Provost of Stanford University. The list of accomplishments that this woman has, is outstanding. She is an inspiration to any emerging leader, no matter their race, gender, or age. Rice has set a tone for young individuals by striving for her goals, but also letting life lead her in its own path and by not letting others impact her with negativity or cause her to take her mind off of her goals. She also has proved herself as a successful leader in politics. This has helped woman break the barrier and we will continue seeing more woman politicians in higher leadership
