Comparing The Vampire Diaries And The Originals

Have you ever watched a TV show that has a lot of supernatural in it, like vampires, witches, and werewolves? I have, I have watched The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. The Vampire Diaries is a supernatural drama that deals with revolving around one girl. The Originals is about the oldest vampire family and their point of view. The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are very similar and different in many ways including the older, younger, and stronger teenagers that are vampires, witches, and werewolves.
The Vampire Diaries set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, a town with supernatural history since its settlement of migrants from New England in the late 19th century. It follows the life of Elena Gilbert, a teenage girl who has just lost both parents in a car accident, as she falls in love with an 162-year-old vampire named Stefan Salvatore. Their relationship becomes increasingly complicated as Stefan's mysterious older brother Damon Salvatore returns, with a

plan to bring back Katherine Pierce, a vampire who looks exactly like Elena because Katherine and Elena are doppelgangers. Although Damon is the villain and has a grudge against his brother for forcing him to become a vampire, he later restores his brother relationship with Stefan and falls in love with Elena, creating a love triangle among the three. Both brothers protect Elena as they face various villains and threats to their town, including Katherine. The brothers' history and the town's mythology are revealed through flashbacks as the series goes on.
The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries which centers around the Mikaelson siblings, Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah.

The Originals also revealed that the werewolf Hayley is pregnant with Klaus's child and would join the cast. The show begins with the original siblings returning to the city of New Orleans for the first time since 1919. Having originally built the city, they had been forced to run away from their harmful father. In their absence, Klaus's influential person, Marcel, took charge of the city. Klaus resolves that they must take down Marcel and get back the city that once belonged to them. While doing that they must also protect their city from a war brewing between vampires, werewolves and witches. Over time new and old friendships are formed, love is in the air, death surrounds them and most of all they learn more about their own family past. Klaus's mystical child is going to be born and speaks of the threats that all of the family together must keep away from

her.
The reason The Originals is named what it is, because the Mikaelsons are the originals vampires. The original vampires are the oldest vampires, and the older you are as a vampire the stronger you are. The Vampire Diaries is named what it is, because Stefan and Elena have diaries that they write in and later on when most of the characters turn supernatural they all start writing in diaries about everything they have gone through. The Mikaelsons are also in The Vampire Diaries, and basically Klaus the original hybrid, which is a vampire and a werewolf is trying take Elena because she is a doppelganger and her blood can be used to make more hybrids. Stefan and Damon are younger vampires, which means that they are not as strong as the Mikaelsons but they do everything they can to protect Elena.
These two TV shows may both be about vampires, witches, and werewolves, but they are different and similar in many ways. They have different point of views in each show, like The Vampire Diaries was Stefan’s, Elena’s, Damon’s, and all their friend’s point of view and The Originals was just the Mikaelson’s point of view. They are also different as in who is older, younger, and stronger vampire, witches, and hybrids. They are similar as in the vampires in each show went back to the towns that they originated from. The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries too, so a lot of ideas from The Vampire Diaries could have been used in The Originals also.
