The Last of the Mohicans and The Patriot The last of the Mohicans is based on the history of Britain and France competing for colonies in the Americas. With colonial and anti-colonial oppression of freedom, indigenous internal struggle and the pursuit of truth, the three last of the Mohicans always fight for freedom , independence and brave unyielding pursuit of spiritual struggle. At the last quarter of the movie, I can say that the film's most part occurred. The daughters of cornel was caught, Hawkeye risking unarmed into the camp and try to save all of them, and end up with that Chingachgook became the last Mohican.
