The Rough Lives of Kids.
Both “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Freedom Writers” teach the readers that people should stay strong and positive in bad times, though their problems are different.
The kids in “Freedom Writers” are surrounded by gangs and violence. They find themselves in very rough situations and while they want to do the right thing, they can’t. They go everyday risking their lives for an education even though they don’t want to. Anne also finds herself in a rough situation and risks her life. The kids in Freedom Writers live in an area that is surrounded by kids that make gangs by their race, people get killed for this resulting in the kids getting illegal objects like guns to survive. Anne and her family are hiding from the
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live during World War 2? Life during World War 2 was torture if you were jewish, especially if you were a kid. Felix Salingar from Then by Morris Gleitzman and Anne Frank both knew what it was like. Their stories both describe the lives of jewish children hiding from the Nazis, in fear of being taken and killed. Throughout both of their stories, many character traits were discovered about them that show how they are similarly affected by the events in their stories. Anne Frank and Felix Salingar have many similarities, some of which stand out more than others.
After reading and watching The Diary of Anne Frank I realized there was many prominent differences and similarities from the script to the movie. One scene from the script was identical to the one in the movie, where they would become rigid and unmoving whenever the sounds of cars were heard. Furthermore, the scene repeated several times in a similar fashion throughout the movie. With this in mind, the director probably wanted the audience to know the dangerous position the Franks and the Van Daans were in. The characters know this as well, and this caused them to fear any noise.
The theme for The Diary of Anne Frank is to never lose hope, be patient, and be brave. Anne was very brave to give up her freedom and contact with friends and most family members to save her life. She never lost hope that the war would end either. She was also very patient to share a hiding place with seven other people.
She brilliantly conveys this message by incorporating the theme of self-liberation in both stories, while contrasting the means by which each character achieves freedom. By creating two stories that both compare and contrast, the author presents the choice between two roads to freedom. How will women redefine the behaviors that are expected of them and liberate themselves from oppression? The challenge comes in breaking the cycle of revenge, choosing the freedom of forgiveness over the captivity of resentment, and crossing the border into true
In the 1930’s, the Nazis gathered and killed millions of Jews. One of the Jews affected was Anne Frank. She and her family hid from the Nazis for over two years in an attic over an office building. During that time, she recorded all her thoughts and experiences in a diary. One of the most famous quotes written in her diary is, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” Some may not feel this quote is accurate, but I agree with this statement because even in the most difficult of situations, people are often trying to do what is right and just.
In “ The Diary of Anne Frank” by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett, “Eddie Rickenbacker: Ace of Aces” by Mike Acton, and the poem “Our Deepest Fear” by Marianne Williamson, it is shown that if you persevere through the hard times, you’ll experience something even better . Anne Frank remains to be an optimist through the years as they hid in the secret Annex. Rickenbacker made one the most sustainable airlines in the postwar era because he was so dexterous in the wars he earned the name “Ace”. Marianne Williamson describes that we are scared of keeping ourselves in recluse.

In the Diary Of Anne Frank, there are two major people who show hope and courage. Those two people are Otto and Anne Frank (father and daughter). These people show these traits through words, actions, or thoughts. They needed to have hope and courage for an extreme condition. They had to hide for two years in a “secret annex” with 6 other people. This is because they were Jewish living during the holocaust in Holland during the Nazi invasion.
To lead off, Anne’s narrative has had a continuing influence on society because of the first-hand view it provided of the effects of WWII. Her diary connects with its readers, allowing others to feel what she and other Jews went through. In source 2, Anne writes, “ Jews and Christians alike are waiting, the whole world is waiting, and many are waiting for death.” Her account tells of the suffering of the war in a way that is mature, descriptive and emotional. Anne has a brilliant perception of her world and describes both her personal struggles and those of all Jews in a unique way. The author of source 3 writes, “How astonishing that a teenager could have written so intelligently and so movingly about a subject that continues to overwhelm the adult imagination.”
The Diary of Anne Frank was written by herself. She was living in Holland with her family, in the 1930s. But, her life changed suddenly during World War II, when Jews were forced into hiding to avoid that the Nazi Government killed them. She had to go into hiding along her family. However, Anne had many dreams to fulfill. One of them was to be a writer and become famous. She was a girl interested in everything and she can´t stay quiet. Meanwhile, they were into hiding, Anne wrote everything in her diary, whatever she sees, and everything she feels and want to say.
Anne Frank: author, and main character of The Diary of Anne Frank. Anne went through some difficult times in here life, some a little easier than others, some even horrific. In this essay I’m going to write about bone uplifting and one disturbing thing that happened to her that she wrote about in her diary.

Freedom Writers deliver the message of hope and teaches the audience that if hard work is put into a task then a purpose to life can change completely if the right decisions are made. This movie delivers that message in a wonderful way by using the ‘ghetto’ as an example to change ones destiny which is truly satisfying. This isn’t the best movie but it is a convincing drama where the emotional scenes often feel real than fake. Freedom Writers was a movie that totally blew the audiences mind away, it was an emotionally, heart touching movie that got people thinking about what happens and what others go through. LaGravenese did a very good job using passages from the actual student’s dairies to pursue the message of the film. This is truly an awesome, incredible, amazing movie that everyone should watch connect with it.
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl was a very distressing yet amazingly written book. Who would have thought that such a little person could have such a huge effect on the world? Anne?s father lived for many years after the war and made sure that Anne?s diary was published. Her diary was published in 1947 and was then made into a film. This diary helps people remember what Jews had to go through and hopefully reminds them of how lucky they are. By remembering, it is hoped that something like this will never happen again. This book was intriguing while incorporating many life lessons. Discrimination, unfair judgment, and racism are only a few of the many lessons that this book has to offer. With that, after reading this book, we have learned to not take the things we have for granted because in a matter of seconds, days, months, or even years, it could all be gone. As Anne said in her diary, ?In spite of everything, I still believe, people are truly good at heart?.
She wrote “I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains” https://www.theguardian.com/childrens-books-site/2015/jan/27/the-greatest-anne-frank-quotes-ever in her diary. She seemed to always be positive even though her life was at risk. Still to this day nobody knows which one of the Frank’s family friends betrayed them by telling the Nazi’s where they were hiding. Once they were found they were all sent to concentration camps where only Anne Frank’s father survived. One of Anne Frank’s accomplishments was her diary that put a positive effect on so many people around the world. She changed the lives of every person who read her diary, watched her
