My main characters are, Trinity, Melany, and Harmony, they are three sisters. Trinity is twenty-one she is older she is about five feet six inches tall, long blonde hair, blue eyes, country girl. She’s not afraid to get dirty and loves to have fun. She is not afraid of very much and will protect her younger sisters through anything. She likes to read and is very relaxed. She loves adventures and is very family oriented when it comes to her sisters. She is the oldest so she feels she needs to be the mom figure. Melany is the middle sister she is twenty. She is the opposite of Trinity, she is a very big girly-girl. She hates getting dirty and hates when her clothes don’t match. She likes to drive around with her friends and go shopping.
The diverse alternation of point of views also provides the story an effective way to reach out to readers and be felt. The characterisation is effectively done and applied as Sam, Grace, and the other supporting characters play individual, crucial roles in the course of the story. All the elements of a typical young adult novel, consisting of a gap-filled relationship between children and parents, emotion-driven teenagers, and a unique conflict that makes the book distinct from fellow novels, combined with the dangerous consequences of the challenges the couple encounter, make the book different from all other of the same genre. The plot unfolds slowly giving readers enough time to adjust and anticipate the heavy conflict when it arises. It has gotten us so hooked but the only thing we could possibly dislike about it was the slow pace of plot. The anticipation was too much to handle and we were practically buzzing and bouncing to know how the story turns out as we read. It builds the anticipation, excitement, thrill, sadness, grief, loss, and longing in such an effective way to entice and hook readers further into the world of Sam and
Giselle Boyer is a 16 year old girl with a twin sister who is also her best friend. The two sisters are Haitian and are both the same height, five feet and eleven inches, just like their father. Giselle loves to draw and wishes to be a future artist and likes to swim rather than playing an instrument. This is how she differs from Isabelle. Isabelle is a very musical person who appreciates music as well as playing the flute in her school’s orchestra.
My book is about a thirteen year old girl name Raspberry Hill. She is a black African American girl that lives in the projects with her mom and they don’t won’t to live there. Her mom is a hard worker. Raspberry is afraid of being homeless again. Time back, her and her mom lived on the streets, lived in family houses and got kicked out. Raspberry doesn’t wants to be on the streets any more so this is why she has her mind stayed on money. She will do anything to get her hands on money. She will get down and dirty, skip lunch, skip school, clean houses and sell nasty rotten candy to the kids in school. When she goes to school she always has candy and pencils to sell to the kids in the school. She has 3 friend’s name Zora who has a single farther name Dr.Mitchell that’s in love with Raspberry’s mother, which upsets both of them, Mia who wants to be identified as black, but has African American and Korean parents, Ja'nae who stays with her grandparents but is urgently wanting to stay with her mom.
The novel Tangerine, written by Edward Bloor, perfectly demonstrates how a character can change their ways and learn lessons. When the protagonist, Paul Fisher, was first introduced, he was a shy, quiet kid, who never tried to change his situation. He has a terrible relationship with his brother, Erik, and is literally terrified of him and what he will do to him. In the beginning of the book, he was moving from Houston, Texas to his new home in Tangerine, Florida. In his fresh start to life in Tangerine, he learns that he shouldn’t be scared, and that he needs to start standing up for himself and letting his voice, thoughts, and opinions be heard. Even though Paul starts off scared, afraid, intimidated, and full of self doubt, he learns that he needs to change his ways and attitude towards his life, and to take action to make things right.
It seems that every sibling doesn’t always have a great relationship with their older or younger siblings. In the movie “Real Women Have Curves”, we have two sisters, Anna and Estella, who seem not to get along in the beginning because of their differences, but at the end they become the best of friends because they have similar dreams and learn to support each other. The advantage of Anna and Estella’s relationship is that they benefit from each other. The whole story is that you don’t always realize how much you have in common with your siblings until you realize that you have similar dreams and can be there for each other.
The story follows three girls- Jeanette, the oldest in the pack, Claudette, the narrator and middle child, and the youngest, Mirabella- as they go through the various stages of becoming civilized people. Each girl is an example of the different reactions to being placed in an unfamiliar environment and retrained. Jeanette adapts quickly, becoming the first in the pack to assimilate to the new way of life. She accepts her education and rejects her previous life with few relapses. Claudette understands the education being presented to her but resists adapting fully, her hatred turning into apathy as she quietly accepts her fate. Mirabella either does not comprehend her education, or fully ignores it, as she continually breaks the rules and boundaries set around her, eventually resulting in her removal from the school.
The purpose of the paper is to compare and contrast the characters of Penelope in the epic, The Odyssey, Lysistrata in the comedy, Lysistrata, and Medea in the tragedy, Medea. The writer will first give a brief synopsis of each character, followed by a comparison and climaxing with the contrast.
The first main character is Samantha Keyes, also known as Sammy. Sammy has a great personality. She's very spunky, creative and curious about everything. She will always try to invest into something and learn more about it. She lives with her grandma, because her mom went to hollywood to try to become successful as an actor. She has some really close friends, like Dot and Marissa, but a lot of people at school don’t get her and make fun of her. The next main character is Ritas Keyes or “Grams”, Sammy's grandmother. Sammy
The main character or the protagonist of this book is Wendy Everly. Wendy is seventeen years old. She has curly dark hair and brown eyes. She’s not like everyone else, Wendy’s “different”. Wendy was given off to another family at a young age because of her biological mother. Wendy’s mother tried to kill her because of Wendy not appreciating a present that was given to her on her birthday. Elora/ Wendy’s mother really loves Wendy and cares about her a lot. Another relation that Wendy has is with Finn. Finn is Wendy’s protector/ guardian. Wendy also has a brother named Matt.
For this project I chose the book Monsters of men by Patrick Ness. The character that i am focusing on is viola. She is an extremely strong and charismatic character who is shown to be willing to kill for her friends. She is shown to do what she thinks is right even if it consists of killing others. For people that she would look up to I chose, Malala Yousafzai, Ronda Rousey and --------. I chose these people because they all have certain characteristics that Viola would need and want in a time of war. When Viola looks at these women she can see herself in them and picture herself having the same qualities as them.
“After all, they are sisters.” In the genuine story, Sisters by Raina Telgemeier. Raina always wanted a baby sister, but once she got one it wasn’t what she expected. The annoying, loud, smelly child who she now had to call “sister” was just an embarrassment. All they would do was bicker. Coming up was the family reunion, which meant eight hours in the boring, old van together. Do you think they will survive it? Read Sisters to find out! If this book interests you, try Drama or Smile.
As Berella lay in her comfortable, secret getaway at her small village, Avalon park, and read her sappy romantic novel, she began to feel as if her heart had sunk just like Tanya’s. She loved to read these types of novels, and had always considered herself a romantic, but lately, she was beginning to feel unwanted, and depressed even. Her older step-sisters, Elizabeth and Alexandria were perfect. The two girls got the best of grades and were very talented in music, sports, and technology. Berella might as well been the night to their day, seeing as she was completely the opposite of them. She got okay grades and wasn’t even talented, or so she felt
To begin with, the characters are clear and possess both motivation and credibility. The grandmother
In my book the Perks of Being a Wallflower, there are four main characters. Charlie, Sam, Patrick, and Mary Elizabeth. The way that the Author describes charlie is kind of like a sensitive young man who is trying to figure out what to do with his life. He doesn’t really have any friends because last year, his best friend died and his Aunt died in a car crash. Sam seems like a really energetic young woman who loves hanging out with her friends and listening to classic rock. I think that the Author made her character perfectly because every word she says, seems like she is happy on the outside but a little lost in the inside. Patrick is a jokester who is depressed sometimes because he is gay and his boyfriend has to pretend that he doesn’t love him. He is Sam’s step brother and they seem to be great friends. He loves music as well. Mary Elizabeth is a mix between a buddhist, and a punk. She shaved half of her head and on the weekends she has a show called “punk rocky” which is supposed to be a re-make of this show called the rocky horror picture show. She dates Charlie for a while but is controlling, and Charlie doesn’t really like her because he likes sam, a lot.
Some of the main characters in my book are Joyce, John Ford Kang(JFK), and Gomo. Joyce is a Korean girl in her junior year of highschool. She has a very low self esteem, and often envy's other girls. One event that really shot her down was when JFK mistakes her when he signs her yearbook. Joyce, John, and another Korean girl Lynn all share a science class together. Lynn is a nice, smart, girl, but is considered to
