The main focus of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is advancing science and technology to deliver vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, and new affordable and reliable solutions. The United Nations Foundation focuses on a wide range of global health problems, including: decreasing childhood mortality, improving disaster relief, protecting the diverse culture and environments, creating a clean energy future, and empowering women and girls. ...out sanitation, infrastructure, and hygiene can greatly reduce global health disparities worldwide. In addition, research is another fundamental necessary in ensuring human health quality for individuals. I admire the researchers who commit in finding answers to fight against chronic diseases occurring worldwide. I have significantly respect the researchers who work together in discovering new diseases and treatments affecting individuals globally and not only fulfilling one country’s needs. It is my desire to become one of those researchers in the next ten years contributing in global health and decreasing global health inequalities in order to provide health care equality for every human being living in the world. We need to work together, globally, and collaborate in order to end health inequalities and the pursuit of human equality in the sake of social justice.

Yet, in TWN almost 10 million children under 5 years of age die yearly from manageable diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia (10 Million Children, 2008). Currently existing, low cost medications could save millions of these children. A course of antibiotics to treat pneumonia costs less than thirty cents, but is not available in poor countries (10 Million Children). People living in TWN also suffer from below par nutrition and associated diseases. A look at health issues in their entirety leads to the conclusion that the delivery system for health, nutrition, sanitation, and medical treatment are not working properly, therefore those most in need in the TWN have little or no access to health care. Gates’s idea regarding philanthropy due to the fact that upon setting up his foundation in 2000, he already was aware of the widespread criticism of existing programs to help the less fortunate. Moreover, successful programs, such as the Green Revolution, were overshadowed by growing awareness of their negative side effects on the environment and local cultures. Mr. Gates had growing awareness of such limits sparking new ideas on how businesses could approach poor countries. However, there is little evidence of benefit from the $2.3 trillion given in foreign aid over the past five decades. For example, all the aid given to Africa over the years has failed to stimulate economic growth on the continent. The 5 head countries always make the decision on whether to help a country that is in need or not. The basic structure is that there is a general assembly, which is the head of the UN. Off that there are 5 separately run systems, which are International court of justice, Economic and social council, Security Council, secretariat and the trainee council.
