American author, Alfred A. Montapert, states that “Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal.” All around the world pets are a large part of the daily lives of many families. Monte and Oreo, made a positive impact in our school and provided us with yet another learning opportunity. I think that Monte was very entertaining, but I enjoyed the diversity Oreo brought to our classroom. Comparing and contrasting Monte and Oreo highlights their similarities and the uniqueness of their opposite personalities.
I believe that dogs are inherently superior to hamsters. Monte is a prime example as to how dogs rule and hamster rule. Monte, the dog, is an energetic sheepdog, rottweiler

Monte and Oreo seem very different from each other, because Monte is a dog and Oreo is a hamster, but they have very many things in common! They both have a soft, black and white fur coat that covers their bodies. The male companions are both pets that are very loved by Mrs. Clay and her family, who reside in Bassett, Nebraska. Monte and Oreo are both very friendly and welcome all of those they meet! Monte and Oreo are both very curious, looking for something to entertain themselves while most of the time staying out of trouble. Having Monte and Oreo in the classroom lifted the mood of the students in my class, including myself, and made the classroom a positive and easier learning environment. Both pets are very patient and polite when they are around each other. This is displayed when Oreo gets placed on Monte’s head, and Monte stays calm until Oreo respectfully finds the safest exit. Monte and Oreo are never aggressive towards each other, however, they respect each others distance. The unlikely pair share many similarities when it comes to senses. They are both equipped with a powerful sense of smell that helps them detect things in their surroundings, maybe even a tasty treat. The duo both love their food as well as treats. When gently touched by human hands, both male pets show affection in return as a sign of …show more content…
As a member of the rodent family, Oreo and Monte, a member of the canine family, are very diverse. While both domestic pets have black and white coats, I also found some tan colored fur around Monte’s face. The duo differ in immensely in size, though, Monte is a medium sized dog he looks like a giant when compared to the small stature of Oreo. Unlike Monte, Oreo is not bothered by those around him, he just can’t care. Monte is affected by those around him, and tries to do the best he can to make people happy. While both Monte and Oreo can hear the voices of those around them, Monte is trained by voice commands. On the other hand, the voices of those around Oreo have little to no effect on him, and he does not respond to voice commands. Oreo is a fat hamster, because the only active thing he does is roll around in his ball. Even though Monte is an indoor pet, he is active outdoors and around the house which keeps him in shape. Monte is well-built dog and is able to run very fast as well as jump and rollover. Oreo’s short legs and fat body hinder him from being as active as
Have you ever wondered how much it costs to have and maintain a pet? Burkhard Bilger, the author of “The Last Meow”, explains how Americans spend a lot of money on their pets and that people's “love affair” with their pets has gotten out of control. An observation I have made is that in many movies dogs are treated very well. When I was younger, I watched a movie called Bratz and one character would always have her dog inside a dog purse and they would even get manicures and pedicures together. The dog always had shiny clothes on and it was always very clean. Therefore, I agree with Bilger's argument that Americans “love affair” with their pets has gotten out of control.
Have you ever wondered what your pets are thinking? Personally, I wonder all the time. I purposely mess with my dog to see how he reacts. Well, now you can at least get an idea of what they are thinking. The humorous short story, ¨A Conversation With My Dogs,¨ by Merrill Markoe is about a dog owner who is having a conversation with her dogs Bob and Stan about how they follow her around everywhere. The author is attempting to portray the thoughts of dogs when communicating with them. In this instance, the owner is confused about why they want to follow her everywhere. This short story is a high comedy that uses witty humor and situational irony to make the audience laugh while giving the lesson.
Caine’s best friend O-Dog begins to reciprocate by firing shots back at his adversaries in the green Pontiac LeMans Sedan. Caine scuttles upon the ground to superpose Anthony from the gunfire, but the bullets incessantly penetrate into his upper torso. Caine finally grasped ahold of Anthony and enfolded him. The driver of the vehicle accelerated, and the suspects vanished from the crime scene. As the motorist speeds off, the climate is filled with a veneer of silence, and Anthony’s training wheels ceaselessly gyrate in an inverse position on the road.
Throughout the novel, fifteen dogs have the challenge of having human abilities. The two dogs, Majnoun and Prince, both live a life with human intelligence but very differently. The first dog we encounter is Majnoun, a dog with a backstory of his friends from his pack beating him up. As Prince lives his human intelligence life, he truly only loves one owner.

The relationship between Salamano and his dog is utterly absurd. They’ve done the same routine day in and day out for eight long years, yet neither one will ever change or learn from their mistakes. Salamano won’t learn to let the dog finish peeing so that it won’t go in the house and the dog won’t learn not to pull the leash. They are both resistant to change, probably because they don’t know anything else, except how to be miserable together.

These dogs have good personalities. If people allow them, their dog will try to be the “alpha dog.” If the people show them that they are the “alpha dog,” the dog will sometimes throw the cutest dog tantrums. They will not bite, but they will act angry. Pit bulls can keep children entertained by their constant playfulness.
Miss Brill is without any relatives or close friends. She has no acquaintances to converse with. Therefore, she treats her fur as if it were a pet. Her fur is a “dear little thing” (98) with eyes and a tail. She sometimes feels like “stroking” it (98).
Horses use touch to convey to other animals that they like them or dislike them. Meaning that if a horse is pleased and likes something they may nudge their head on it, rub the side of their face on the object and be very gentle. If they are displeased they may swing their head at it, buck it, bite or stomp. These behavior displays of touch show th...
Meanwhile, Julie's dog, Singer, has a mind of his own. He acts like a real person. Julie talks to him as if it is her child. When she looks at Singer, she is reminded of her husband. She feels that Singer "protects" her and "guards" her. Whenever Richard came over to Julie's house, Singer would growl and it was obvious he did not like Richard.
I have never considered that a book about a dog could be so appealing and full of deep thoughts. But I changed my viewpoint after reading the autobiographical novel “Marley & Me” written by John Grogan which depicts an astonishing story about the neurotic and loyal, clumsy and loving dog named Marley. In fact, as the author mentioned in some interviews, he intended to write the “dog story”, but soon after he realized that it was impossible to do so without including the family life [2]. That is why the title “Marley & Me” encapsulates the main topic of the book such as the relationship between a human and a pet. To start with let me introduce main characters: John, Jenny, and Marley.
As princesses of the canine universe, Annie type dogs have a loving yet manipulative personality. An Annie dog assumes the role of queen bee. As leader of the pack, she keeps everybody in line. She dominates all of the other dogs, often by physical herding or malicious growl. Tough the tough façade she has created does not accurately represent her entire personality. There is a bit of a diva atop Annie dogs’ fur, especially when anger causes the hairs of her back to stand on end. But, she is not all diva. To other members of the canine breed, Annie types seem rough and tough, but whenever a familiar human is thrown into the dynamic, Annie dogs know how to suck up. Immediately, rolling over and showing off the pink exposed skin of the belly. They loose their rough edges and show off the sweet puppy that still remains beneath the growling front. Annie dogs become the epitome of loyal, loving pets. Being the lightest sleeper’s in the canine world, Annie types will awake at any noise, exemplifying how they protect familiar humans from creepy and questionable humans. They always come when called, even if it means leaving the hot trail of a chipmunk or bunny rabbit. Annie dogs fulfill the loyal and protective branches of man’s best friend’s quality list.

First, we shall discuss the similarities these two creatures share. One of the most obvious similarities between these two animals is that they both have hair and are domesticated animals kept as pets. They require love and affection from their owner, and return that love and affection if owners show it towards them. Another thing is
