No matter what you are buying there is always another brand similar that it is very comparable. In the electronic, cellular, computer world there are many different brands and devices that can be bought. The variety of brands ranges from Microsoft, Google, Apple, Samsung, and many more. These brands are very comparable and all have the same purpose, but what sets them apart? One must be better and more advanced than the other, but how? Most people would say that the brand in which you like is just a personal preference or matter of opinion. Which, in my opinion, is not the case at all. Apple is the alpha brand, and is way better than any other make. Why? you may ask. The Apple Company rules both the cellular and computer market by making products …show more content…
During the time I possessed an Android and a Samsung, my cellular device would always freeze and lock itself up. The only way to get the phone back to functioning would be to remove the battery. This task was very annoying, along with time consuming. Now that I have had my iPhone, which is an Apple product, for over five years I can say I have never had this issue. My iPhone has never frozen or completely locked itself up. It has glitched before, as all products do, but nothing too extreme like my Android and Samsung. The quality all around on an iPhone is just better. The cameras are better, there are more options and effects, and the picture quality is higher. Not only is the picture quality greater, but so is the screen quality. If I were to set my iPhone next to my grandma’s Samsung, the picture would be much more clear. Also comparing the tow brands side by side, you will notice how much nicer and updated everything looks on the iPhone. You will also notice this while browsing around and comparing the different applications. Everything on my grandma’s Samsung is just so square and does not have much to it, where as my iPhone things have a more rounded square shape and looks more modern. This makes the Apple product more efficient and higher in …show more content…
For instance, there is only one button on the phone, the home button. This is not including the buttons used to lock the phone and turn up the volume. Where as, on a Samsung or Android there are many buttons. There is a home button, back button, windows button, a recent apps button, just way too many buttons. Again, being a user of all brands, I have a pretty good understanding how all of them work, and can easily operate any brand of phone. But now that I am more used to the Apple product, iPhone, I think it is more complicated trying to use any Samsung or Android. If I ever try to use my grandma’s Samsung it is always a lot slower than what my iPhone would be. This can be very infuriating. Every time I try to complete a task on her phone, I always end up finishing the task on my iPhone because it is just quicker and simpler. That is the goal of any Apple product: to make things simple and easy, but at the same time keep their product top-notch and fresh. If their users cannot understand how to operate their devices, who
The Securities and Exchange Commission requires that publicly owned businesses provide annual reports, which are available to the public. Many different people use annual reports, to make informed business decisions. Management from the company uses the information to determine a number of items. Some of these items are the profitability of the company, the inventory turnover rate, and the accounts receivables rate. Creditors use the annual report to determine how well a company can satisfy its current liabilities, as well as, how the company is doing in the aspect of long tem survival. Another group of people who use the annual reports furnished by companies are the investors, who can purchase shares of stock from the publicly company. Annual reports are very important to these people, because they are an over all picture to help them determine the over all stability and reliability of the company’s financial outlook. These annual reports are important because they do not only contain the financial statements of the company, but there is a management ‘s note to discuss reasons for any unexpected numbers, and an auditor’s report, from an independent accounting firm, who either agrees or disagrees with the financial numbers. Market reporter Matt Krant said, “Ignoring these reports is akin to driving down the freeway blindfolded.”
Just like the iPhone. When the iPhone first came out it was one of the most popular phones ever. And from the iPhone then Samsung started to think we should create a phone that is similar to it. Till this very day Apple and every other phone companies compete. Although they are thinking alike they both come up with very different things. They make their phones operate differently. The Apple IPhone is easier to work with while the Samsung Galaxy phone is harder to operate. Although, Samsung has tried to make a duplicate like the iPhone both phones come with different features.
Rivalry among existing Firms: This force seems to be a strong force in the industry. Other competitors are aggressively competing with Apple. This other firms have almost the same technological strength and capacities with Apple, they are vast in innovation and some actually spend more on research and development and advertisement more than Apple making it easy for consumers to switch brand whenever they are not getting satisfaction from the brand they already
Microsoft is currently the largest company in the computer industry. With a market capitalization of $291 billion, Microsoft has built an empire by dominating software sales for personal computers. ... are a lot of knock-offs of iPods, who try to get the same success that the iPod did. Not all of Apples products were a hit, for example Apple TV. It goes to show that Apples area of expertise is digital music players, smartphones, and tablets.Apple is the leader of the technology industry and is planned to stay that way.
When it comes to smart phone market share in the United States, Apple still trails Android by almost 10%. But if you are to break out the market share figures then you will notice that IPhone reigns supreme by a very wide margin. According to a lot of recent data compiled by ComScore, Phone’s share of the United States smartphone market now is about 43.6%, followed by Samsung which is at 27.6%. Apples market has increased by 4% almost every year, while Samsung has been dropping by 4% almost every year. Although Apple is doing a bit better than Samsung overall, Samsung is still topping Apple with their Android. During the second quarter of 2015 Samsung took a 21.7 percent of the global smartphone market, with shipments 73.2 million units. A reason I feel Samsung is doing much greater then apple right now is their ability to have all these different features, which not only add modern things to their phone but also longevity. With the three new water proof phones that Samsung has come out with Apple has yet to release their first
Technology has become a huge part of everyday life, and people seem to have one great debate and are fighting over which is the best phone, iPhone or Android. The Apple iPhone is a cellular smartphone that was created and is maintained by Apple Inc. Android is another type of smartphone that is accessible to consumers, but the operating system is powered by Google and many different companies produce Android devices. The different operating systems and interfaces have created a long and carried out debate to which was superior. iPhone is the better phone and there are many reasons as to why it is superior to its rival, Android. The iPhone’s sleek and beautiful design has users’ hands fondling the device and never putting it down. The operating system is very distinct, but is straightforward with its functionality. People who purchase the iPhone believe that they have received their money’s worth and more when owning and iPhone. The iPhone is better than Android when compared because of the beautiful design and attractive display, the operating system and its functionality, and the device’s personal worth is definitely worth the money spent to own one.

The Apple brand name is a household name, the brand value of Apple, Inc. improved to $13,724 million in 2008 from $11,037 million in 2007 (Datamonitor PLC, 2009). Apple is different from its competitors because it produces high quality products, its products are also unique and attractive and this has helped to increase its market shares. Since Apple is known globally, 54% profits come from foreign markets (Datamonitor PLC, 2009). has a competitive advantage over their competitors. One of the methods that Apple uses to maintain a competitive advantage in international markets is tying their hardware and applications together with an integrated operating system. This means that one of their devices, such as the iPad works very much like the iPhone and many of the apps run one device just as they do on the other. The only difference would be the size of the product. Apples laptop is larger than the iPad which is larger than the iPhone. Otherwise these products share the same functionality and information through connectivity. They share functionality and information seamlessly through connectivity, constantly updating customer’s lives through simple plug-in. I think this is the number one reason why Apple has an edge over their
Apple Inc., is an American multinational corporation start with a focus on designing and manufacturing consumer electronics and closely related software products. Established by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, in Cupertino, California on April 1, 1976.
Apple uses a app called the app store. This has thousands of apps that people can purchase. These are made and designed by people. The only thing with apple is that you can only purchase apps on the apps store. When people start talking about android there are many different phones and devices that a person can use. For instance someone can buy the galaxy s6. This phone runs on android 5.0! This is the latest software that has come out. Whenever you buy an android phone they use only android. These devices can run both systems. Android has there own app store that they use. Android is more complex. You can design android to the way you like it. People who want a device that you can customise use android. Android is more for the advanced phone geeks. Apple is more simpler for people to understand and use. The samsung galaxy s6 has a lot of cool features. There 's a camera With 5-megapixel front and 16-megapixel back cameras that can launch in just 0.7 seconds, capturing moments the moment they happen is as simple as point, click, snap. And thanks to an f1.9 aperture, even low light party shots will look as amazing as you remember(Galaxy S6). This phone is Protected by the very latest Gorilla
In order to ensure the success of a brand the company must put lots of planning and thought into the brands elements. The three brands I have chosen to examine in this branding exercise are Apple, Coca-Cola, and Target because they demonstrate many of the criteria used to evaluate brand success.
Have you ever wanted a phone that is personalized for you? Android was released in 2008, a year after the iPhone. In 2015, there are 2.5 billion Android users worldwide, compared to roughly one billion iPhone users. Android is better than iPhone because of customization, variety, and design. Firstly, Android is vastly customizable.
The very first iPhone was announced by the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, in 2007. His vision was to reinvent the phone. iPhones have revolutionized smartphones and have shaped the cell phone industry into what it is today. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs put together an incredible keynote presentation. He stated that he would be “introducing a wide-screen ipod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone, and a breakthrough Internet device” (Ritchie, 2015). The audience assumed that this meant that Mr. Jobs would be launching three separate devices. However, it was only one device, the iPhone. Within the past 7 years, Apple has been able to tweak its iPhones by incorporating major redesigns. These redesigns use combinations
