Marvel’s Cinematic Universe has taken a different path with the new Doctor Strange movie. Unlike other recent marvel movies like The Avengers, Doctor Strange goes deeper into a dark dimension full of magic and sorcery. The CGI will trap you into an Inception like experience. As buildings start to twist and close in, the rush starts to kick in. Benedict Cumberbatch who portrays the role of the neurosurgeon, Stephen Strange, took this story a new level of mind-blowing. Stephen Strange goes through a life changing experience, a car crash that leads him to lose control over his hands and prevents him from doing surgery. While a cure was impossible to find, his arrogance leads him to take extreme measures searching for medicine in magic. Leaving …show more content…
Being an origin story we can’t really see the true potential Doctor Strange has in store for us, which is a bummer. Let’s face it, the movies will never be as good as the comics, but reading them beforehand does make the movie truly magical. While many characters’ appearances changed, the plot remained the same. Which is what fans are most focused on. In Strange Tales #115 Dr. Strange’s origin story was introduced, for many people this was just an ordinary story but for the real fans this was the connection they needed to finally know what truly made Doctor Strange the hero he is. Many differences were found, for example The Eye of Agamotto in this film has been redesigned into an Infinity Stone, The Time Stone. With this we definitely know Doctor Strange is into some action for the new Avengers Movie Avengers: Infinity Stone. Thanks to the different Easter eggs found, Doctor Strange has been able to create a hype for the upcoming movies Marvel has planned for …show more content…
Although he had a photographic memory and learned faster than anyone else it still took time to master it all. Baron Mordo was also a big change for this film, while he is portrayed to be Doctor Strange’s partner, in the comics he was really working against him and desired power over all. Besides other small changes, the story similarity is truly remarkable. The differences between the comics and the movie is what makes the movie unique, if it were exactly like the comics then there would be too much spoilers and there wouldn’t be enough reasons to go see the movie. By changing all these little things in the Doctor Strange movie, it made the film unpredictable and more exciting. The CGI produced in this film was electrifying. Watching Doctor Strange on 3D or IMAX really makes a difference from normal theater quality. The first encounter Doctor Strange had with the Ancient One was mind-bending experience, Strange was dragged bouncing between dimensions. Using kaleidoscope like images resembling outer space and its beauty. After this the special effects multiplied by using the mirror dimension. Building crashing down, folding into each other and change in a way similar to Inception. All these special effect made this film unique and totally worth watching every minute of
There are many differences in the movie that were not in the book. In the movie there is a new character in the movie that was not in the book. This character was David Isay.
Director D.W. Griffith used the creation of this movie to experiment with various new methods, bringing the movie to life by using both by using new, complex camera angles and editing techniques. [2]
The plot mainly stayed the same throughout the movie and the book of Something Wicked this Way Comes. Although there were a few differences, the audience still followed nearly the same story line. The first difference was that in the movie, Jim and Will started off by being in detention, while in the book, it is night time and they sneak out. The movie also mentions where Jim’s father is, and if he is ever going to come back, in the book, they completely ignore the fact that Jim’s father is not present. Instead of talking to the boys about the smells of cotton candy and sweets, Mr. Crosetti tells Mr. Halloway that he thinks a carnival is coming to town. This was one of the most important differences to me, in the
tension and suspense. I found it had greater suspense, especially at the time. the beginning, with Fettes and Macfarlane arguing over something that people do not know about their secret past lives that we have yet to find out about the.
One major difference in the movie that was not in the book was the starting scene of the movie was set in the moor with Sir Charles being attacked by the Hound. In the book the starting scene was when Watson and Holmes had just found a walking stick that had the initials C.C.H. on it. I think that the movie starting scene was more informative because it let you know about what was happening and it also gave some more suspense to the film.
I have only included what I have to believe are largely important plot gaps and differences in the movie version in comparison to the book one, and so I apologize again if I have missed any other major ones. Forgive me, please.
Although I will always love the original, the script, the movie was so fun to watch. We got know why lady bracknell is who she is since she apparently was a dancer and got life by having a baby. We found out instead of hugging miss prism got engaged to dr. chasuble which was interesting. Although I want to say what the real change was in the movie compared to the script you got have to watch the movie all the way through. It will be the biggest surprise of your
When I watching this movie, I notice that I felt less separation from the movie. Initially I could not find a reason for that but, soon after I realize that the camera is not static but it wobbling slightly. In most movie, camera does not move and it creates the frame. In the other hand, this movie’s handheld camera type of camera works imitate the human eyesight feeling and make people feels like to experience the event in a movie as a one of the character. In this perspective, do not explain too much about the detail is emphasizing this experience. Consider these things, I really excited and enjoyed couple of scene which are the running through battle field and engaging to the baby. In the every day world, both scene is pretty rare to experience. For the battle field scene, majority of the people have avoiding to be in there so that is rare. The engaging to the baby experience is quite normal event for most people and of course it is grate experience but, in this movie setting, baby is extremely rare and seeing baby is truly miracle event. To emphasize and provide this miracle event, this camera work is perfect to apply.
...nge that transforms to create a different, more effective scene is the eminent balcony scene. In Luhrmann’s rendition of the movie, the balcony is intensified with the addition of a pool. This makes the scene more interesting than the tradition portrayal of the balcony scene as it is more innovative.
Besides the great components that has formed, what I unlike many of the critics believe to be one of the greatness movie of all time, an aspect of the film that does not seem to disappoint is the special effects, more specifically, the CGI’s. BBC News states that “it is this hyper-real movie magic that has made the Oscar-winner one of the most sought after visual effects supervisors in Hollywood.” Oscar winning Scott Farrar was the visual effects supervisor in the entire preceding Transformers trilogy. The movie offered “a tour de force of special effects, even if the critics were less kind about the movie's storyline”. While some may say that the visual effects used in the film were too much and sometimes unnecessary, there is no doubt that Farrar achieved great lengths and challenged future innovators of the visual and special effects industry.
At this point, the readers create their own movie in a way. They will determine important aspects of how the character speaks, looks like, and reacts. Whereas, in the movie, the reader has no choice but to follow the plot laid out in front of them. No longer can they picture the characters in their own way or come up with their different portrayals. The fate of the story, while still unpredictable, was highly influenced by the way the characters looked, spoke, and presented themselves on screen.
The Ancient One played by Tilda Swinton, threw things off at first, as it was expected for this character to be someone of Asian descent (he was a Tibetan Monk in the comics) and not a bald, white, woman. Surprisingly, she filled the role very well and it was not disappointing. At the beginning of the movie she is portrayed as an all-powerful, sorcerer with a very long life. Mordo presents The Ancient One to Dr. Strange as if she were a god. She says to Strange, “You’re a man looking at the world through a keyhole. You’ve spent your whole life trying to widen that key hole, to see more, to know more and now on hearing that it can be widen in ways you can’t imagine, you reject the possibility”. Everything about her character makes you think
make us see exactly what he wants us to and this film is a very good
Due to the film’s quality and interest it became an award winning film. The film had excellent sound effects such as the battle scenes. The image quality was also outstanding; it used many different angles to depict the actor to make you feel involved in the scenes. In the action scenes the most common viewpoint used was a close up shot which allows the audience to see and feel the intensity of the scene. The second viewpoint mostly used was a tracking shot due to the actors c...
this film the special effects are great. With all the mummies that are created and the way
