Miss Brill?s fur is her most prized possession as she refers to it once as ?Dear little thing!? (182). She takes off the fur, puts it back in the box, and the last line says ?But when she put the lid on she thought she heard something crying? (186). At this point it is now evident through symbolism, Miss Brill herself is crying. It is now Miss Brill finally sees reality.

Andrew Marvell and John Donne both wrote “carpe diem” poetry full of vivid imagery and metaphysical conceits. This message can be clearly seen in the poems "To His Coy Mistress" by Marvell and Donne’s "Flea." Though both poems take a similar approach to the topic addressed, it is Marvell that writes more thoughtfully and carefully, coercing instead of Donne’s seemed demandingegging.
Brian May and Roger Taylor, in 1970, set the wheels in motion for Queen when they decided to form a band during their college years. Queen started out as a band called Smile who signed with Mercury Records, and included: Tim Staffell, Brian May, and Roger Taylor. Once Tim Staffell left, the group added Freddie Mercury (lead singer) and bassist John Deacon. Freddie Mercury, Farrokh Bulsara, was a fan of Smile and was added on as the lead vocalist. John Deacon began as a young guitarist who was a member of the group called The Opposition. This band was composed of a group of friends, and they were influenced by groups such as The Hollies and Herman’s Hermits. Eventually, Deacon was added to the group that already included Mercury, Taylor, and May. Over time, the group changed their name to Queen. The name Queen was selected by Mercury, and this name is symbolic of power and regality. The addition of Mercury proved to be an essential aspect to the history of Queen’s success. In Queen: The Early Years, Hodkinson writes, “much of what made Freddie also defined Queen: without him they were merely a model rock band with a bent for a commercial tune” (2). The group became well known for their theatrical performances and costumes that were often over the top. “From their international breakthrough in 1976, Queen continually remained one of the best-selling rock acts worldwide beyond Mercury's death in 1991. Their total record sales are estimated at up to 300 million records” (Desler 391). This group was important to the evolution of music and music performance in bands that were to follow them.

The rain was pouring outside. It was another long day, and Paul was getting nauseous. He had to stay late at the nurse's office again. “There’s nothing I can do,” the impolite nurse proclaimed. Paul was about to ask her to call his mother when she slammed the door shut. Paul’s phone was dead and no one was left. He then looked outside to see the golden ticket home that was the bus. It’s better than walking home, Paul thought to himself.
“Nothing happened, I was just thinking about our money and what we are going to do about the rent, I just don’t know what to do anymore.” he said as he started to shed a tear. My brother, sister, and I just looked at dad in such surprise since we had never seen him cry before. Then we heard the dog barking and a strange knock at the back door and wondered who could it be at 9:00 in the night. We all walked through the kitchen wearily and crowded at the back door when someone knocked on the door again. Dad wiped the tear from his eyes and opened the door. “Hello Mr. Stanson; you must be very cold in this rain, would you like
