The two body systems I will be discussing are the digestive system and the cardiovascular system. The digestive system has a group of organs which work together and convert food in to energy and the basic nutrients to feed the body. The food passes through a long tube inside the body which is known as the alimentary canal or the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract). The alimentary canal is made up of pharynx, oral cavity, stomach, small and large intestines and oesophagus.
The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, blood vessels. This is responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrients to all the cells in the body. This consists of the heart and blood vessels running through the body. The arteries move the blood away from the body and the veins move it to the heart. There are two circulatory systems in the body which are both connected.

They both work together and help each other out. The circulatory system transports blood and nutrients. This also transports the nutrients which are made by the digestive system. The organs which are used in the digestive system need the circulatory system to digest food. It also needs the blood which the circulatory gives for nutrients, also having to spread the nutrients so body is functioning in the correct way. The circulatory system also needs the digestive system because without the digestive system. It would not be able to distribute nutrients to the body. The digestive system helps the body digest food. It contains the liver, stomach, the small and large intestines, pancreas, gallbladder, rectum and oesophagus. These organs work and help digest
Haven't you ever wondered what would happen if you didn't have a digestive or circulatory system? Well, basically you wouldn't be able to be reading this or even be alive. While there are many important systems in the body, the circulatory and digestive are the two most important. There are many ways that they are similar, different, and how they work together.
The cardiovascular system - The cardiovascular system is responsible for transporting nutrients and removing gaseous waste from the body. It consists of the heart, which powers the whole process, the veins, arteries, and capillaries, which deliver oxygen to tissue at the cellular level. The cardiovascular system carries blood that is low in oxygen away from the heart to the lungs via arteries, where oxygen levels are restored through the air once oxygenated, this blood is then carried throughout the body via arteries, keeping our organs and tissue alive. The cardiovascular system is the workhorse of the body, continuously moving to push blood to the cells. If this important system ceases its work, the body dies.
The Circulatory System is a transportation and cooling system for the body. The Red Blood Cells act like billions of little mail men carrying all kinds of things that are needed by the cells, also RBC's carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells. All cells in the body require oxygen to remain alive. Also there is another kind of cells called white blood cells moving in the system. Why blood cells protect from bacteria and other things that are harmful. The Circulatory system contains vein arteries, veins are used to carry blood to the heart and arteries to carry the blood away. The blood inside veins is where most of the oxygen and nutrients are and is called deoxygenated and the color of the blood is dark red. However, blood in the arteries are also full of oxygen but is a bright red. The main components of the circulatory system are the heart, blood, and blood vessels.
Digestion have a function of breaking down all food into our body. Our body use all nutrients to help in the process been health and growth. Digestion supplied small molecules that will be absorbed into our bloodstream.
Blood serves as the body transport system; blood carries oxygen to the lungs and cells throughout the body. It takes carbon dioxide or toxins from out the body. The components of the blood fight off different diseases by recognizing engulfing microorganisms and molecules from overseas that doctors found in the blood. The other components support the transports through the kidneys, hormones in the body, and the digestive system to help pass the nutrients through the body.
The digestive system, in organisms like the mink and human, is supposed to break down the food being eaten to transfer into energy. This energy helps other functions of the body that would in turn keep it alive. The digestive system includes organs such as the stomach, intestines, liver, etc. Digestion starts at the mouth, though.
The digestive system otherwise known as the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) is a long tube which runs from the mouth to the anus. It operates to break down the food we eat from large macromolecules such as starch, proteins and fats, which can’t be easily absorbed, into readily absorbable molecules such as glucose, fatty acids and amino acids. Once broken down, these molecules can cross the cells lining the small intestine, enter into the circulatory system and be transported around the body finally being used for energy, growth and repair.
The digestive system has of a chain of linked organs that work with each other to digest, and break down food into molecules that are put in the circulatory system. Then takes them to the body’s tissues. The most important structures in the digestive system are the tongue, mouth, intestines, esophagus, stomach, and anus. The liver, gallbladder, and pancreas are with the digestive system also.
Pancreas- The pancreas creates a juice that breaks down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. "The pancreas delivers digestive juice to the small intestine through small tubes called ducts" (NIH (5).) The pancreas is not considered part of the GI tract, but it is a necessary organ needed for the digestion and absorption of nutrients.
The heart serves as a powerful function in the human body through two main jobs. It pumps oxygen-rich blood throughout the body and “blood vessels called coronary arteries that carry oxygenated blood straight into the heart muscle” (Katzenstein and Pinã, 2). There are four chambers and valves inside the heart that “help regulate the flow of blood as it travels through the heart’s chambers and out to the lungs and body” (Katzenstein Pinã, 2).
