China began along the Huang He river valley. The Huang He river received its name from the river having yellow soil. China had multiple Dynasties the Xia Dynasty, Shang Dynasty, and the Zhou Dynasty. The Xia Dynasty was led by Yu The Great. Yu allowed the people that worked build canals in order to control the flooding of the yellow river. The Shang Dynasty Lasted between 176 b.c.-1122 b.c., which is in Northern China. The capital city of the Shang dynasty was Anyang. Chinese social group was Hierarchy. There political set up were that they had kings that were ahead of all the clans which they claimed a common ancestor. China had Oracle bones they would carve a question in the bone or shell and then would put it in heat until it cracked and then wait for an answer from the gods. The Economy of the chinese were trading and farming. China had nice surrounding and goods to trade back and forth when they needed other goods from other places. China also had the great ability to farm. China had to have good soil in order for them to farm their food they needed. If it ever came down to The chinese culture where one or the other went bad they had another source to relion on. The chinese relied on the Dynastic Cycle. The Dynastic Cycle explained the rise and fall of Dynasties. They had the “new cycle” which brought peace, (re) builds infrastructure, gives land to the peasants, and protects the people. The “Old Dynasty” was that they taxed people to much, stopped protecting people, let infrastructure decay, and treated people unfairly. And then you had the problems such as floods, peasant revolt, invaders attacking empires, Bandits rard countryside.
