Personally I consider Star Wars to be much more refined and meticulous than Star Trek. Star Trek fans which are more lax and also known as Trekkies could argue, while the dedicated Star Trek crowd called Trekkers might just turn their phasers on destroy. My intentions are to examine the main concepts and technology of Star Wars and Star Trek during this essay. Freaks and Geeks is a show set back in 1980s over what life was like for the average high school teenager. The show goes over multiple dilemmas each episode that focus on two or more stereotypical teens in this time. The show focuses mainly on a pair of siblings named Lindsey and Sam. In this show you have your geek kids, like Sam, who are so awkward no one else talks to them. Then you have your so called “freaks” who aren’t afraid to get into trouble just for the fun of it, which is what Lindsey aspires to be like. While watching this show I have come to identify more with the geeks in this show rather than the freaks. More specifically, I would consider myself much like Lindsey’s younger brother Sam.
Spain and the Ming Dynasty were places on Earth in two very different locations. Yet, somehow they had been similar. The rulers had killed or expelled people that disagreed or they both just had their ways of organizing. But there seemed to be more differences. Spain had conquered the Americas and did not separate the state from the church and the Ming didn’t expand that much, and didn’t involve religion into politics. Thus, Spain had more larger goals towards imperialism, Christianity, and keeping the country in a “pure” state with only hereditary Christians, while the Ming Dynasty focused more on unity, acceptance of all religions, and keeping the court as balanced as possible.
Quite possibly one of the most iconic openings in cinematic history is “A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away.” Of course, I am referring to Star Wars. It is such a fascinating and great movie going experience. There have been a total of seven Star Wars films, but in this essay I am going to be focusing on Star Wars: Episode 3- Revenge of the Sith. This film was written and directed by George Lucas and of the science fiction genre. Revenge of the Sith was released in theaters on May 19, 2005.

Science fiction never ceases to amaze me as I take great enjoyment in exploring these creative universes. I have always had a great interest in military science fiction for its take on technological innovation and critical analysis. Military science fiction in general is very speculative about future of technology and warfare. The military science fiction genre also serves as a critique of contemporary politics as it deals with many of the same issues that go on today. This has made military science fiction one if the most well respected genres of science fiction for it ability to indirectly criticize modern society. My Integrated Project explores the relationship between how technology that has arisen from war has been some of the most innovative and why war has become an unshakeable aspect of human existence.
George Lucas wrote and directed Star Wars, he had tons of creative and production control just like Hitchcock. Furthermore, the film demonstrates his aesthetic vision through recurring themes of good verse evil, heroes fighting for good and saving the day. Lastly, the film demonstrates thematic and stylistic consistencies to create the meaningful narrative. One thing that stands out from Star Wars that illustrates George Lucas’ control over the production is the credits. He did not want the credits at the beginning of the film so the audience can focus on the narrative. In the late 1950’s the auteur theory was introduced to filmmaking which created a new way of making films. Auteur theory went against the classical narrative by focusing on realism. Auteur films had ambiguous endings, which deeper into the character’s physiological state. Even though, Star Wars demonstrates certain auteur elements, it does not go against the classical narrative.
