Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet Vs High School

Although most people think all high schools are the same, my experience in switching schools said otherwise. Going to Mount Juliet High School then transferred to Lebanon High School taught me a lot of different things. Transferring made me realize people are not the same everywhere; I learned the environment, people, and teachers are very different.

I attended Mount Juliet High School for my freshman year and Lebanon High School for the remainder of my high school years. The people at Mount Juliet were very nice but kinda uptight, whereas at Lebanon most of the people were rude and bullies. I enjoyed my time at Mount Juliet high school far more better than I did in Lebanon. The people at Mount Juliet were always friendly and willing to help you whenever you need help. At Lebanon that did not happen as often as I was used to; Lebanon High School also has a big problem with bullying.

At Mount Juliet they did not allow bad behavior or non-learning students; in fact, if you were caught sleeping or not paying attention they called your parents and made you go to ISS or worse depending on how many times this has happened.

Mount Juliet actually cared about your education and wanted you to succeed in life. On the other hand, Lebanon High did not care about what was happening within the school. Teachers did not really teach and you did not have to do much at all to pass, as long as you get to walk the line they do not really care about your academic future. Since the teachers do not care they have a lot of students drop out of school because they do not care either; therefore, I realized if I want to go to college I will have to do it with no

help.

Lebanon was about twenty minutes from Mount Juliet, though they are close together it seemed like they were two different states. Lebanon was the place with less money compared to Mount Juliet. Mount Juliet was very uptight and clean, for example, we moved from Mount Juliet to Lebanon because it does not cost as much to live there. The environment in Lebanon was completely different it is dirty, there was always trash all over the streets and it just seemed like the community did not care about their city. Whereas when I lived in Mount Juliet it was always clean everywhere, of course, there were bad parts of Mount Juliet but their bad parts were better than Lebanon's best parts. Whenever the community starts to care about the streets of Lebanon and the education for the community it would be a great place to live.

Mount Juliet High School taught me how to carry myself; in addition, Lebanon High School gave me a backbone and taught me how to stand up for myself. All in all both schools were good to me, it just so happened the Mount Juliet was better for me. Everywhere you go will have flaws, you just gotta work your way around it. I hope by reading this you can infer, “the grass is not always greener on the other side” my mom used to always tell me this when I would complain about the school.
