In the Movie, “Ransom of Red Chief”, and in the book, there are some similarities and some differences. The first difference was Red Chief, or better known as Johnny. In the movie he was a small, blonde headed little boy, but in the story he was a small, red headed little boy with a bunch of freckles. In addition to that in the movie the kidnappers, bill and Sam, took red chief to the woods and set up camp, but in the book it states that they, bill, Sam, and red chief, slept in a cave and camped there. Last but not least was red chief. In the movie red chief also stole bill and Sam’s car and he also put a snake in bill’s bed, but in the story he did neither of those things. A few things that the story and the movie had in common was the fact their names were all the same. Bill’s nickname was still old hank. Sam’s was still snake eyes, and red chief was still red chief. In addition to that red chief also tried and or did scalp bill, in both the movie and the …show more content…
story. Also when Sam went to go into town bill was left to play with red chief and the same thing happened, red chief rode bill 90 miles to stockyard and also fed him oats, as if he was a real life horse. One last similarity is that when Sam and bill sent that letter to Mr. Dorset stating that if they don’t get 2,000 dollars then he won’t get to see his son ever again. Bill and Sam then got a letter in return saying that if he got 1,500 that he then would take red chief off their hands. Those two notes were the same in the story and in the movie. Last but not least, the neighbors. They were not happy in the movie or the story when red chief came home. When red chief came home nobody was happy for his return.
Why, because that boy is a nuisance. He is destructive, mean, rude, and worst off all cruel. Today was going to be a happy day, at least it was supposed to. Like what could go wrong, the sun was out and being all bright and sunny. Everyone was all happy and playing marbles and minding their own business. I was sitting there like a bird on a sunny, spring day, whistling my own toon when I heard “it”. Red Chief has returned. After 3 days of being missing he decides to show up, and just when I was happy too. That boy is something else, I swear when he showed up my heart sunk down to my stomach like a stone in a pond. I then just flipped, I ran home packed up as much stuff as I can and stuffed it into my car. I then grabbed my cat and put him in the car and drove as far as my little, black car could take. Anywhere but there with that
boy.
With both the movie and the book there were similarities and differences involving the names of the characters. Justice Wargrave was known as Author Cannon in the movie. Also, Vera Claythorne was Ann Clyde. Another difference is Philip Lombard was Charles Morman in the movie. However, there were some similar names, Mr. Blores’ name continued to stay the same as well as Dr. Armstrong.
First of all in the book it gives much more detail than the movie. The book written by wilson rawls is much more heartwarming than the movie that was made in 1974. The book had a lot more detail than the movie, the movie has missing events that were in the book. For example in the book Billy had three sisters in the movie
For example, Mama goes to the bank in the movie and is given a hard time about paying her mortgage, but this did not happen in the book. Another major difference is that the school bus scene, where the Logan kids played a trick on the white kids, was not shown in the movie, even though it was an important part of the story. There are some character changes as well. Lillian Jean, Jeremy, R.W, and Melvin are Simms’ in the book, but in the movie they are Kaleb Wallace’s children. However, the main plot difference is how the movie starts in the middle, summarizing everything from the first part of the book very briefly. Additionally, many scenes are switched around and placed out of order. Altogether, the plot and character changes contribute to my unfavorable impression of the
The first similarity is the conflict of the story. The conflict of this story is when the cobras, Nag and Nagaina, are trying to get rid of Rikki, the mongoose, the boy, Ted, and his parents. In the book the cobras said, “When there are no people in the Bungalow, did we have any mongoose in the garden? So long as the Bungalow is empty, we

The movie and the story had some of the same characters but some weren't exactly the same. The movie introduced many different characters and changed some of the others. For example, the movie had the plant lady and had the mentor of Anderton as the founders of Precrime while in the book, Anderton was the only founder of Precrime. Also, Witwer wasn't blond he had black hair and Kapler wasn't named Kapler he was named Crow. In the story they had the red head Fleming who did not exist

In both the movie and the book, the characters names are the same and the setting is the same. Johnny kills Bob in both of them. They go to the Windrixville church and the poem, “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost is in both. “‘Nothing Gold Can Stay.’ I was remembering a poem I read once.”(Hinton77) The church catches fire and both Johnny and Dally die in the movie and in the book.

Overall, the movie and book have many differences and similarities, some more important than others. The story still is clear without many scenes from the book, but the movie would have more thought in it.
Some of the events that were in the book were not shown or did not happen in the movie. These were events like the bank note forgeries and some of the things that Squealer said to them like how he convinced them to let the pigs use the apples and milk in their mash. They did not even mention this event in the story. Other things that they did not even mention in the movie were the Sunday meetings and something they didn’t mention in the book was Napoleon’s addiction to whiskey. One of the main events in the book that was not shown in the movie was the battle where Boxer split his hoof. The only two battles that happened were the Rebellion and the Battle of Cowshed. One event that happened in the movie that did not happen in the book was when Squealer took Mr. Jones’s camera equipment and used it to speak to the animals.
There are very few differences between the Book and the Film of To Kill A Mockingbird. But one of the few differences that you can’t miss is in the film there are several characters that were never introduced such as Mr.Dolphus Raymond, Aunt Alexandria, Uncle Jack, Miss Caroline, Cousin Francis, Miss Gates, and Aunt Rachel. Also in the film they left out some scenes such as the scene where it snows in Maycomb and Miss Maudie 's house burns down. A few similarities in both the novel and the film, first similarity is that Scout Finch is the narrator in both. Another key similarity is the story takes place in Maycomb, Alabama.
The ending is the major difference between the two stories. Perrault mentions immediately that Little Red is the ?prettiest creature who was ever seen? (Schlib, 2003, 667). She is naïve and does not realize that the wolf is trying to trick her so that he can eat her. She is easily distracted by the flowers, nuts, and butterflies that she finds along the path he sends her on. When she gets to her grandmother?s house, although she feels that something is wrong, she enters anyway. Little Red strips off her clothes and gets into the bed with the wolf, still disguised as her grandmother. The wolf pro...
