Towards the end, The Controller agrees with the claim that happiness is a poor substitute for passion, but needed to keep a society stable. After The Controller, explains why things like the feelies are used, the savage refutes their purpose saying that, “they’re told by an idiot”. Similarly In Shakespeare the character, Macbeth, says exactly what the savage says, but Is speaking about life instead of a play. When Huxley alludes to Shakespeare’s Macbeth, he brings the same feeling of distress to bear on that what they are speaking about has no meaning. Helmholtz agrees with the Savage. He believes that all of his work is essentially "told by an idiot" because it doesn't address anything real. Even though he knows this, he doesn’t know how to
feel what passion is and unable to write with it. This yearning for passion reveals how deprived of emotion the people of the brave new world are. The forced sacrifice of emotion benefits no one but the government leaders in charge. Leaving the people lacking emotionally highlights the delusion of what makes a utopia.
A quote which really defines Lady Macbeth and Macbeth’s ambition regarding power is “Power does not corrupt men; fools; however, if they get into a position of power, corrupt power” George Bernard Shaw. Lady Macbeth is more ambitious in terms of gaining power then Macbeth is and that Lady Macbeth will do almost anything to gain power, even evil things that she normally wouldn’t do. This is shown when Macbeth and Lady Macbeth learn about the witches’ predictions, then roles in the plans to murder king Duncan in order to gain power and then finally after the murder, Macbeth doesn’t want to finish the plan making Lady Macbeth angry and causing a chance they might get caught and gain no power at all.
Although most of Shakespeare's play " Mac Beth " is not historically accurate, MacBeth's life is the subject of the tragedy. William Shakespeare is the most performed and read playwright whose works captured the complete range of human emotions. He wrote various types of plays including comedies, romances, tragedies, and tragicomedies. Macbeth, is one of his most famous tragedies he wrote between 1599-1606. The dramatic alterations made by Shakespeare bear little resemblance to the facts, leading us to conclude to three main purposes. The first being the dramatic. Hoping to capture the attention of his audience Shakespeare changed the plot making it much more dramatic than found in his Holinshed source. Second, the thematic affect. He wanted to create a more complex characterization of Macbeth.
Attitudes vary from one individual to the next, as well as the perceptions of different phenomena in the society. Some people in the society are numb to events which may cause extreme degrees of depression to other people, and that is the way of life. These varied attitudes in the society are used to strike a balance within the society, and in some instances are sources of major conflicts within the society itself. William Shakespeare’s Macbeth tells the story of a general who commits regicide in order to become king. Early in the play, Macbeth is conflicted as to weather or not he wants to kill his kinsman the king. In the first two acts Macbeth is not portrayed as a ruthless killer; he is a sympathetic character who succumbs to the provocation of his wife and a prophecy foretold by three mysterious witches. In contrast, Lady Macbeth is a manipulative, immoral woman. Her ambition is so strong that she is willing to do anything to see her husband succeed. However, in the third act things begin to change. The death of the king and lord and lady Macbeth’s rise to power catalyze profound transformation in their personalities.

“What goes around comes around.” The decision of the execution of the King Duncan was beyond the concept of being egoistical. The sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. Macbeth, every dreadful deed you take as an action and claim you have committed a wrongdoing; you excavate your own grave. Since, you commit the murder of King Duncan, how do you believe that fortune will come your way. The three Weird witches and your own love, Lady Macbeth are the key players in this game of guilt. No virtuous outcome comes out a misdeed. You have to conquer her mindset, and be grateful for what you have now. You should not be able to give your own decisions to someone else.
In my definition a tragic hero and An anti-hero are kind of similar. They are both flawed hero lead astray. They both can be on the side of good and the side of bad depending on their ego. On the other hand Webster 1913 dictionary define villain as a vile, wicked, extremely depraved, a scamp, scoundrel, and capable and guilty of great crimes. We all know from reading the first couple of acts that Macbeth shows some qualities of villain, but not clearly a villain. The only quality of a villain that we really see right now is that he is guilty for killing king Duncan cold blooded while sleeping. The darkness hasn 't yet completely enter his heart, so to me a would define Macbeth as a tragic hero. In the beginning of the play we see Macbeth

The objective of this essay is to compare the Shakespearian tragedy "Macbeth" to the Greek tragedy, "Oedipus Rex". Although the plays share similarities, it will be seen that the fall of Macbeth is very different from that of Oedipus. Macbeth's downfall is due to his own personal decisions while the downfall of Oedipus is due to fate and the will of the gods.
In the play Macbeth, William Shakespeare does an excellent job describing his characters and their settings. Throughout the play Shakespeare connects several different situations to things that are happening with the characters. Macbeth VS Tempest (A discussion on the contrast and comparison between two characters in Macbeth and The Tempest). As the great William Shakespeare once said, “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” Out of all of the plays that Shakespeare has written, they all have things in common and they all have things that are dissimilar. Banquo was a servant to King Duncan, the King of Scotland. He was also a great father to his son Fleance and a loyal friend to Macbeth. Macbeth’s new title of king altered the strong friendship between Banquo and Macbeth. Banquo was completely oblivios to this though. Macbeth was higher ranked than Banquo, but Macbeth still seemed to hold a torch against Banquo.
