I have read many kinds of books; for example, Fantasy, Romance and Dystopia. My favorite book which I can always read it one more time is Harry Potter. I have just read The Mockingjay, and Chronicles of Nick (Inferno) book, and the book that I am reading now is Beastly by Alex Flinn. This book tells about a man who is cursed by a witch, and he has one year to find someone to fall in love with him. I am going to read “Fantastic beasts & Where to find them” by J.K. Rolling because this book is being made into a movie. I enjoy reading these books. Moreover, it’s always has many good quotes; for example, “Just because something is beautiful doesn’t mean it’s good” from Beastly, and “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times,
If you ask people, what their favorite book is, they will answer right away. Ask them why that book, most of the responses are because it marked their life or it relates closely to what they are living. "Dark Inside" by Jeyn Roberts is one of those books that marks people's lives. This book makes you see life in a different perspective. This literature should be recommended and shared with people because it makes you rethink about yourself and see the world in a different light.
The books Redwall by: Brian Jacques and the Harry Potter Series by: J.K. Rowling share many similar and different character traits, themes and symbols. Redwall takes place place during a medieval time in an abbey and the characters are woodland animals. The Harry Potter series takes place in modern day England primarily in school of magic where teenagers learn how to harness their magical powers and abilities. The two may not be similar in terms of plot, but Redwall and Harry Potter both share the themes and symbols of courage, compassion and evil.
This book is a good book. "What I was really hanging around for, I was trying to feel some kind of a good-by. I mean I've left schools and places I didn't even know I was leaving them. I hate that. I don't care if it's a sad good-by or a bad good-by, but when I leave a place I like to know I'm leaving it. If you don't, you feel even worse. ~J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye, Chapter 1
My parents have always stressed the importance of reading. Throughout my whole life, they have motivated me to read and they have encouraged me to find books that I find interesting to read. Because of their encouragement, I am an avid reader today. When I was a child, just starting to enjoy reading I liked to read books that were fiction. Some of my favorite books to read as a child are series that I still love today and I think I still have every book in each series stored in my attic. They are The Boxcar Children, Junie B. Jones, and The Magic Tree House.
The next book I read was The Giver by Lois Lowry which I actually bought a couple years ago at a book fair. It sat on my shelf for two years then it was recommended to me again, so this time I read it. I ended up liking it so much I contacted the author via email and asked if she would ever consider selling the movie rights. She replied and said that the movie rights have been sold and there’s a movie in the making. The story is about a boy named Jonas living in the perfect utopia where there is no war, no crime, and no hate. The ceremony of twelve’s is very soon and that is the most important ceremony of all; it is when your assignment or job for life is decided. Little does Jonas know that he is about to receive the most important assignment of all. Shortly after the assignment is given he meets The Giver. This sci-fi book is one of the best books I’ve read and is also a Newberry Award winning book.
The book that I read and the movie that I watched is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The book was written by the British author, J.K Rowling, and the movie was directed by the English director and producer, Mike Newell. The main characters are Harry Potter (portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). The book was first released in the United States of America and the United Kingdom on July 8, 2000 . The movie had its premiere in London on November 6, 2005. It is classified as a mystery/fantasy genre for both the movie and the book. The story starts with Harry returning to Hogwarts for his fourth year, where the Triwizard tournament between the three well-known schools of magic, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang, is about to begin, wherein 1 champion aged 17 and above,
The “Witch and Wizard” by James Patterson is a spectacular book, because it explores Gothic literature through the eyes of two magical, teen beings. The magical teens are Gothic literature, because they shoot fire from every crevice of their body, throw lightning, walk through walls, and transform people into creatures. Also, the “Witch and Wizard” is an excellent book to read, because the book starts off depressing and gradually grows into a more heartwarming piece of literature. The book shows the Gothic literature style turn, classic mushy heart-warming style through playing the whole hero role, and saving many child lives. Saving young lives helps define a hero, because if you mess with children; every single person will be pissed off at you.

I enjoyed the novel The Scarlet Pimpernel. It was filled with adventure and I liked how both conflicts were resolved at the end. I chose this book because Mrs. Donius recommended it to me. She said she loved it and it was one of her favorites. I would recommend this book to a wide range of readers. Anyone from the age of thirteen and older could enjoy this novel.
To conclude, this is my point of view on the books I have read. These are my reasons I either enjoyed or didn’t enjoy the books I have
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
There are many interesting quotes and advice given in this book; five statements stood out that I felt are worthwhile.
There is so much to love about this series, and this book in particular, Perfection is a super fast read, I did it in just one sitting. I laughed, I swooned, I got a little angry…but not too bad and not once did I cry. If you are looking for a lig...
I also remember as young girl learning how to read and my favorite book that I could quote word for word was “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr.Suess. I loved that book so much I still have that today. As I got older my love for reading and books started to diminish, I went to a private school for my elementary years and their curriculum was very intense. It was required to read a book from their approved list and complete a book report each summer before the school year began. Not to mention the numerous books reports I would have to complete during the school. At an early age books and reading was something I had to do and not what I wanted to do.
One of the most read series in all literature is Harry Potter. The seven-book succession has sold over 400 million copies and has been translated into over sixty languages. What is it that makes this series so wildly famous? What is it about the boy who lived that makes frenzied readers flock to their local bookstore at midnight on the day of the release to buy the latest installment? How is a story set in a world that doesn’t exist about wizards, witches, magic, and mystical creatures so popular? The series has been able to earn its spot on the New York Times Bestseller list and has granted author J.K. Rowling multiple awards because it is relatable. It is not the setting or the events in the plot of the story that we relate to. We relate to what Harry, his friends, mentors, teachers, caretakers, and even enemies feel. Harry is in a lot of ways exactly like us. He represents some of the good characteristics that all of us have as well as the bad. The series as a whole, is about one thing that is stressed over and over again in the novels, love. The Harry Potter series is one of the most read sequences of novels because the central theme is love and self-sacrifice, and readers are looking for a novel that shows them just that.
