Ford vs. Dodge vs. Chevrolet Ford, Dodge, and Chevrolet trucks have been battling for years to be popularized as the best truck. Many people love Ford, many people love Dodge, and many people love Chevrolet. Statistics may show that one or the other may be better in some areas, but there really is not just a “best” truck. Each truck has different varieties of options. Sometimes there are cases that a model truck may not have had a good transmission, motor, etc. The real question is this: Is there a “best” truck? Ford’s most popular truck, the F-150, was first introduced in 1975. Modern day Ford F-150’s have greatly evolved over the years and give consumers multiple options to choose from. These options range from different motor sizes to different versions of the truck. These different motor sizes include: a normal 3.5 liter v6, an EcoBoost 2.7 liter v6, an EcoBoost 3.5 liter v6, and a normal 5.0 v8. The different styles and options are: the …show more content…
XL, XLT, Lariat, Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The best thing about Ford is arguably the many different package options which also have different prices. In saying this, consumers can get the best of both worlds by buying a variant that is in a good price range and has other package options such as four-wheel-drive or skid plates. In 1982, Ford released a small pickup truck known as the Ford Ranger. When the Ford Ranger first came out, they were basically a smaller F-150. The bodies were exactly the same except for size. Over the years, the motor sizes varied from 2.3 4 cylinders, 2.8 v6, 2.9 v6, 3.0 v6 and a 4.0 v6. Rangers could come in a base model, XL, XLT, and XLS. Although the Ranger was one of the best-selling pickup trucks, Ford ended production in the U.S.A in 2011. Dodge first introduced the Ram pickup in 1981.
They have long evolved and now have three different motor sizes: 3.6 v6, 3.0 EcoDiesel v6, and the 5.7 Hemi v8. The different options include: Bighorn, Tradesman, Ram 1500 Express, Lone Star, Sport, Laramie, Rebel, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. There are not as many options available with Dodge, but their largest motor is .7 liters larger than the Ford’s 5.0. One very good thing about Dodge that many people may not consider is that a Dodge Ram comes with dual exhaust which is proven to increase horsepower. Like Ford, Dodge has a Pickup known as the Dodge Dakota. The Dakota was first brought into production in 1986. The motor sizes vary as such: 2.5 4 cylinder, 3.7 v6, 3.9 v6, 4.7 v8, 5.2 v8, and 5.9 v8. Unlike Ford, the Dodge Dakota would not resemble the full size pickup near as much. Apart from people performing a motor swap, the Dakotas have the largest motors in any small pickup in all of history. Unfortunately for the Dakota lovers, Dodge ended production in 2011 as
well. Chevrolet first introduced their Silverado in 1975. Chevy is most known for their 350 motor which is a 5.7 liter v8 engine. Other of their engines are the 6.2 v8, 5.3 vortex v8, and the 4.3 vortex v6. Chevy has been placed at the low end of the totem pole for years. Realistically Chevy is not a bad truck. Many people use deformities in the past to judge their modern truck. Some of these deformities may be transmission issues, head gasket problems, or low horsepowers. In the modern day Chevy, they have really boosted their horsepower and have a really good all-around truck. Chevy has the smaller pickup known as the Colorado. Before 2004, they had the S10. The Chevrolet S10 had the 2.2 4 cylinder or the 4.3 v6. The Colorado has a 2.5 4 cylinder and a 3.5 5 cylinder. The Colorado is somewhat an improvement from the S10. The Colorado will get better gas mileage and also will have pretty good horsepower. The Chevy Colorado, unlike Ford‘s and Dodge’s small pickups, is still in production. The three most popular vehicle companies known as Ford, dodge, and Chevrolet have long been battling it out with their trucks. Many people have favoritism towards one or a couple in particular. Realistically, none of them are the best or the worst. It really comes down to whether you want to have more horsepower, a good ride, or the best of both worlds. After that, consumers need to decide which truck they would rather have. No one needs to put favoritism towards one or the other. There will always be ways that a person can modify a truck to make it pull more or ride better than the other. Then again there will always be a truck that has better stock options than the other as well. It is all in what the consumer likes.

The 1956 model year brought out a new car, The Rambler. This was not a new name, but the car came out with no mention of Nash or Hudson. The press raved the new Rambler with its improved power, larger interior, and smoother steering. The rest of the American Motors line however, still carried the dated styles of 1952.
There was always a demand for trucks with the comfort of a passenger car, or a passenger car with the load capacity of a truck. In response to this demand Ford released the Ranchero in 1957. To compete with Ford’s Ranchero, Chevrolet created the El Camino whose first release occurred in 1959. Over the years, Chevy has made several modifications to the El Camino to improve performance and style. Since Chevy stopped producing the El Camino in 1987, it has become a collectible classic. This essay will focus on several of the engine and body modifications that were made between 1957 and 1987.

Muscle Car," two distinctive cars come to mind, the Camaro and the Mustang. Throughout the era of the early 1950's and 1960's, there was a revolutionary movement that took place and paved the ground work for today's "Muscle Cars" known as the "Ponycar Era." Ask any avid Camaro or Mustang fan about the ponycar era, and watch their pain. They will describe cars that would light the tires on fire, floor it, and hang onto the wheel excitement. Back in the 1960's a new idea was soon to hit the American market, the Ford Mustang. When the Mustang was introduced, General Motors soon to had to follow with their own type of sports car. The car they generated was know as the Chevrolet Camaro. The cars themselves were introduced within the matter of a few years of one another. From the day that General Motors and Ford realized that these cars were very similar in horsepower, torque, standards, and etc... they soon started to pit them against each other in an all out battle that has still last to present day. However, the Chevrolet Camaro has always had the slight advantage over the Ford's Mustang.
Dodge was the best selling truck in 2009, so why not own a Dodge? Chevys aren't comfortable for the passengers in the vehicle. Fords aren't the best selling vehicles in 2009 because they didn't have as many good accessories or as much power as the Dodge does. The Dodge is the best selling truck in 2009 because they are comfortable and they provide excellent storage for tools or baggage; proving to be a great work truck. Dodge is a better choice than other leading brands because they are more dependable and have better appearance and power.
Over the next few years however, Chevy's continuous remodeling, unlike Ford's, caused Chevy to take first place. By 1925, Chevy was offering multiple trucks and cars. Introduced the six-cylinder in 1929. In 1929 but mainly in the Thirties The Great Depression became more difficult, Chevy's slogan: "The Great American Value" stilled helped them manage to sell an ample amount of vehicles. Chevy's were known for both style and class thanks to designer Harley Earl, who gave Chevy cars, like the 1932 Deluxe Roadster, the look of the luxurious Cadillac brand. Also he incorporated the first 'Knee-Action front suspension in low price category. In 1935, the Chevy Suburban was introduced. It was the first continuously produced line of truck based 'wagons', now known as SUVs. Chevy's style had similar characteristics to that of Cadillac, although Chevy's were priced much lower, like the Sports Roadster, priced around $445 during the Depression years. Over the past 81 years, the Chevy Suburban has become that longest continually produced vehicle 'nameplate' in the U.S., still having many of the same purposes now in 2016, as it did in 1935. Chevrolet entered the Forties with a bright outlook and new models of cars, then World War 2 started. Chevy had massive war efforts and helped the Allied forces. After WWII, people couldn't wait to get new cars & trucks, with newer
The Man’s Truck In the last thirty-eight years, Ford has known how to target the audience they have for the F- series of trucks. After the new advertisement that Ford produced, it can be implied that they replicated their success again. With the first commercial being aired on television and online during the 2014 college football playoffs, Ford had a marketing strategy. It is apparent in almost all of the advertisements, including this one that Ford produced, is to showcase the newest and the best of the best F-Series of trucks and that they aim to get all the hard working American man.

A Pickup truck is a good option for you if you enjoy off road trips.
There are many different kinds of vehicles on the road, but the ones that stand out the most are muscle cars and sports cars. Their unique design and body styles will catch people’s attention wherever they go. The Ford Mustang, a high performing muscle car introduced in 1964, is the most notable muscle car on the streets. It is most known for its unique body design with a long hood and short, rear decks. Their high performing V8 engines make their exhausts have a really deep, loud growl. When you think of sports cars, the first that comes to mind is the Chevrolet Corvette. Its sleek body style paired with its ability to stick to the ground around corners, makes it a very notable sports car in America. The two most iconic versions of these
...ferent jobs and different options like horsepower and inside. If you're a retailer and you are taking you buyers to look at a house you want a nice car to take them in. Not a van or a truck. If you're a construction worker you want a truck that works as hard as you do and not a van or a small truck.
Henry Ford was born on July 30 in 1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan he was one of the first American industrialists and wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Back then, before 1908 automobiles were expensive that only rich people could afford. Henry Ford wanted to change this and wanted everyone to have a vehicle to drive. He was able to accomplish this by the assembly line, in which it created more cars in less time. The first car Henry Ford made was the Model T created on the assembly line. Ford’s innovation in manufacturing created less expensive cars and higher wage jobs.
The United States trucking industry is a very thriving industry and has continued to grow since the beginning of the 1900’s. The motor carrier act of 1935 allowed regulations to be set for the growing trucking industry. These standards made trucking safer for the driver and others as well. With the growing of mass production of products, transporting these goods was not efficient using trains or other types of shipping, so large trucks and trailers became the most popular method for shipping. This created a huge market for truck producers to supply trucks for the new form of freight transportation. Brother’s Jack and Augustus Mack saw the perfect opportunity to use their mechanical abilities.
Prior to 1978, both manufacturers and customers had paid little attention to quality of diesel. Later, they have been realizing the importance of quality. Under-quality products may cause customers to lose production time due to engine breakdown. They may also cause manufacturers to delay engine production and incur high cots in repairing. So quality will have more and more significant implications for future business of all manufacturers including Longxi.
Ford- focused differentiation, medium pricing, breadth of product line is high. A strength is their pick-up truck market share, a weakness is perceived reliability and styling on some of the lines.
