Have you ever been out on a boat and saw a dolphin and then a squid?Well I have ! and research has shown some very interesting facts about their similarities and differences. If you look they have lots in common but they also have many differences. These two sea creatures both live in oceans, but have very different lives in the deep blue sea.Such as their brain smarts.A dolphin is the smartest sea creature in the world. For where a squid, doesn’t even have a brain. The squid also has no backbones. The dolphin does.Even though they have these different traits they do have many similarities. They both are very large creatures that can grow up to six thousand six hundred pounds! Both of them have no hair on their bodies. There diets are
very much similar even though they may have a couple of differences. The dolphin and the squid both eat fish, but different types of fish. The squid prefers small fish.Dolphins can eat medium size fish to big fish. They can both eat shrimp.Actually the dolphin can eat the squid! The squid on the other hand can’t eat dolphins. They both live in the ocean, but different places in the ocean. The dolphin likes to live in Northern Japan, but were as the squid may prefer the Gulf of Mexico. The dolphin loves to be in shallow water, but the squid not so much. They do have some places in the ocean you can find them both like the Atlantic or saltwater oceans. There are many animals out there who are totally different and look totally different Even though they have different characteristics just like the dolphin and the squid doesn’t mean they have nothing in common Who would have ever thought the dolphin and the squid did? These two sea creatures actually have a lot in common and so can others.
Squidward Tentacles is an employee at the Krusty Krab. He is a 34 year old male. He resides in Bikini Bottom. His hobbies include playing his clarinet and painting multiple pictures which he has false hope will one day be published in some museum. He has hatred for going to work, and is horrible with customer service. He exhibits a strong desire to fit in with a higher caste than himself. There have been many episodes though where when given the chance to prove himself worthy of a higher caste he will retreat to a safer place like his house. His esteem level seems very low. He never leaves his house other than for work either. He hates being social and that’s very obvious in every action Squidward carries out. He rarely dates and when he does there is never a second date. He is a healthy man of his age. He really doesn’t have many friends. There is his two neighbors Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star, they want to be friends with him but Squidward can barely tolerate either of them. When he is sad he usually turns to his music, painting, or bubble baths which he takes very often. His life goal or aspiration is to be a famous artist and musician. He’s a very smart individual but has absolutely horrible social skills.
Family therapy is often needed when families go through transitions such as separations between parents and divorce. According to research, “the power of family therapy derives from bringing parents and children together to transform their interactions” (Nichols, & Davis, p.18), as problems need to be addressed at their source. The children who are the most vulnerable, when parents decide to separate, exhibit symptoms which are exaggerations of their parent’s problems (Nichols, & Davis, p.18). Frank and Walt Berkman are the examples of how children cope and adapt to the stressors of family separations such as marital separations and
There’s No Real Good Guy In the movie, “Blackfish” we are exposed to the fact that the way orcas are treated at SeaWorld is worse than we are lead to believe. We see how they are forced to swim in tiny pools and how they can only be fed if they preform well. After seeing this it makes you feel like the only way to help these poor creatures is to jump on the animal activist wagon and to free all the whales like in “Free Willy”. But is that really the right way to go?
Dolphins make up the largest and most diverse family of cetaceans. The family contains 26 recognized species of which 13 tend to have long well defined beaks and streamlined robust bodies. Many vary in size, shape, colors, beaks and flippers, as humans have various characteristics.
They are the second smartest animal in the world. They nurture their young for most of their lives. They also socialise with any creature, unless they show signs of harm. Dolphins make very popular playmates and will come up to humans for almost anything. They rely on each other to live. They learn quickly and communicate well with one another. God designed dolphins with unique physical features and behaviors in order to glorify Him.

Humans have only discovered less than five percent of the ocean, while the ocean makes up seventy percent of our world. Even though we have explored so little of it, we have found very interesting creatures such as giant squids, yeti crabs, and zombie worms. None of these animals are similar in any way, not even their habitats, appearances, or diets. However they use these factors to be able to survive in sometimes extreme conditions.
Occasionally, a giant squid will wash up on shore or will come up in a fishing net, which has allowed scientists to get a close observation of these squid and their anatomy.
The fin seems to be similar to that of a fish, but the bones on the inside of the fin are similar to those on a bird’s wing, a monkey’s arm, and a frog’s limb. This seems to be proof that these organisms, and many others, all evolved from a common ancestor. Other proof that whales have evolved over time lies in Egypt in the Valley of Whales, where over 400 fossils of whales currently lie. The desert used to be a large sea that was home to a few kinds of whales. In the Valley of Whales, Gingerich discovered the Basilosaurus, which had small hind legs, toes, and a mobile knee and lived 35-41 million years ago.
The day has come in my household where poles are being taken for the next family member. After careful consideration, my family and I have narrowed down the new family member to be either a dog or a fish. At first glance, I thought these two animals to be on completely opposite ends of the spectrum of pets, and after careful consideration, dogs and fish have a good bit of similarities and differences. Both animals need to be fed daily and kept in a clean environment. However, these differences will be the determining factors as to which new family member wins. The differences in dogs and fish are found within their habitat, interaction, and levels of activity.
When looking at similarities in freshwater fish and saltwater fish, a big similarity is their anatomy. There are no anatomical differences when looking at the big spectrum, nothing distinguishes freshwater and saltwater fish from each other in that sense (Freshwater Fish). For both types of fish, the composition of the
First of all, an octopus is a cellapod. Which means it has a soft body, and no bones. An octopus also has eight arms, large useful eyes, and suction cups. ( Octopuses and Squid, page 6 by: Tori Miller.) All of these traits are mostly used for hunting. Eight arms come in handy when your prey is fast and can get away easily, large eyes are useful when you need to see in the dark or the depths of the ocean, and suction cups are used when they need to grab hold of something.( Octopuses Squid, page 14.) ( National Geographic, Octopus Facts.) Octopuses have blue blood caused by copper and bag like bodies. When born they're 1/4 of an inch and don't rely on...
Our lab manual states that dissecting a fish/squid gives anyone who has not experienced one "a chance to see just exactly what makes an organism tick on the inside and how they compare to human internal anatomy" (Mertz, Garrison and Baker 164). What is meant by this is, by becoming familiar with the essential organs and body parts of vertebrate organisms such as a fish or rat, along with those of invertebrates like a squid or crab, one can have an idea of what to expect with the anatomy of humans. While humans are not exactly the same as the said animals—particularly the fish or squid—one should at least be able to understand that since fishes are vertebrates, they are much closer to humans than squids, which lack any bones. By looking at the bones of any fish, such as the ribs or the spine of a mackerel, their structural similarities to the bones of humans and other mammals can be quite noticeable.
...r. Even though they live in the ocean all their life and also amusement parks, dolphins are mammals, not fish. That makes them very intersting animals because of all the charactics that they have that people would have never known about. Dolphins are by far the most intelligant marine mammals in the ocean.
Did you know in the world there are more than 90 species of whales, dolphins, and porpoises? (WDC) The dolphin is a very important animal to the ocean and there are many different types to discover. In order to learn about dolphins, it is important to discuss where they live, their appearance, and what they eat. Some helpful words to understand are “dorsal fin”, a dorsal fin is the top pointed fin on the dolphins back, “flippers”, a flipper is a flat fin that dolphins use to swim, and “echolocation” is a tool dolphins use to find food by sounds bouncing off of objects (dictionary.com).
