Fahrenheit 451 Comparison It is common in story telling were our technologies or just our morals change and become a threat to us. In this paper i will be comparing these similar themes in Fahrenheit 451 to other media like Wall-e and Harrison bergeron. This paper will be about issues of trying to make people equal or how people rather do what is easiest.

Fahrenheit 451 is a future where it is illegal to have and read books. This is because each book states it author's opinion and it is believed that they are creating conflict of which is right and wrong and which to follow. They believe that this oppresses people so no one can be happy. They all live decent lives without pain or suffering which leads to no appreciation of their good lives

In Harrison Bergeron every one is handicapped to create equality so everyone can be happy but all this does is limit one's ability and make most of the population suffer through a difficult life. Fahrenheit has a similar mind set in the people where anything that creates pain or effort isn't worth it. For example mildred's friend mention why have kids when you have to go through all that pain. The humans in both these world rather have no mention of suffering and hardship.

In all these stories we create some form of dystopian society because we want everyone to be equal or they rather not have to suffer in anyway shape or form. This leads to every one having a empty life with no meaning. All though they have luxuries that would make people happy that all they have so it becomes the normal.
