2. What did you like best about this agency? a. Their involvement with the community. On the committee I was involved with Educating the Community we were provided many opportunities to speak directly with individuals that had no support and was struggling in the recovery community. This committee has been committed to making their existence known and thoroughly explaining the support and resources they have access too. 3. What did you like least about this agency? a. Lack of staff to address some of the behavioral issues of some of the members. There was a couple of members that were at the facility on the daily basis. I was evident that they were suffering from mental health issues. What recommendations would you make to another student who might be placed at that agency? a. Get involved do just go to the facility and sit around and collect hours. This can easily be done, you have to be assertive and you have to get involved to get the best experience from Pro-Act. Be proactive and committed to the field; if you don’t have a passion to help those in need then Pro-Act or human services may not be the best fit for a new student. Lastly, initiate activities; Pro-Act is always open to new ideas and activities to get its members and the community involved, so be suggestive. 5. How were your relations with other staff? a. Great, I had a positive professional relationship with the staff. I made myself available to assist with various assignments to build a rapport with all the staff members. In the beginning I thought some of the staff was standoffish, but after working with all individually I realize everyone has task they are trying to complete and time is limited to fraternize and build rapport in a busy setting. 6.
