Avery Walker Important Person 1/21/16 Not many people can say they have more than one parent figure in their life. I am one of those lucky few who do. Her name is Tracie Byriel and she is like a second mother to me. She has comforted me in my times of sorrow and celebrated with me in my times of joy. She has been my place of refuge when I had nowhere else to go. She has supported me in every decision I have made, even the pretty terrible ones. Destin Sandell Do you believe that one’s spouse should be their top priority in life? The relationship between husband and wife should be one of closest friends (B. R. Ambedkar). If that is so, do you treat your closest friends as you do your husband? In my life I have one best friend whom …show more content…
She has given me more than I will ever be able to thank her for. My mom has been through so much and still seems to bounce back like never before. I will be having my first child in March of 2016 and all I can ever hope for is that I will be the mother my mom is today and has been for 18 years. My mom is a special education teacher at J.I. Barron Elementary, she is also going back to school to get another degree in teaching. She juggles a lot of thing on top of being a mom to both my brother and I. I can always tell when my mom is starting to get overwhelmed by everything going on, but she never loses faith and she never stops going just because things get tough. Every day that my mom comes home she makes sure that everything for my brother and I is done before she worries about her school work or her work she has to do for her job. My mom is my best friend and my go to person with everything. She welcomes me with open arms whenever I need her, she will forever be an inspiration and very important to …show more content…
His name was Antonio and he was the father of two girls and one boy. When he grew up, the village where he lived was very poor and he was the first man there who was able to get a degree. He left everything and went to the main city in Portugal to get a degree in pharmacy. Nowadays, my family runs one of the biggest pharmacies in Portugal all thanks to him. My grandfather was one of the most important man in my life and I had a great relation with him. He passed away a few years ago and left a hole in my heart and in everybody who knew
My husband and I are partners in everything that we do, it has been this way since we were dating. “Friends and romantic partners sometimes engage in covert power struggles on the relationship level” (Wood, 2016, p. 19). I can say that in our relationship that neither of us has a more superior role than the other. We both work fulltime so we share tasks in our household equally, especially in taking care of our children. After our twins were born, I went back to work when the boys were 9 weeks old so my husband had to take care of them when I was at work. We are able to have this type of a relationship by having good communication skills with each other, we even tease each other about sharing a brain because we think so much alike. My husband will say something to me and I will tell him I was just about to say the same thing to him. Great relationships between romantic partners is about great interpersonal communication and
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I hope that you are all having a wonderful night so far, but it’s time that we get down to business. Tonight we are here to honor a guest who has not only contributed greatly to entertainment but also has a paved a new way of learning for many of the younger generation. Our of guest of honor, at only thirty-six years old, has achieved things that some of us could only dream of doing in a hundred years. At nineteen, our guest wrote the first draft of his first musical, In The Heights, which would go on to earn four Tony awards and even a Grammy in 2008. His achievements wouldn’t stop there, as like the subject of his next musical, Hamilton, “the man is Non-Stop!” Hamilton, which has become an international
My dad showed me this speech when I was young and it is what made me get into baseball. This speech inspired my whole childhood. Lou's words made me want what he had. This is why I played some many years and put a lot of my life into playing baseball. I know others have been in the same spot I have. Everyone who plays baseball looks to get to what Lou described in his speech. Everyone wants their rival team to send them a parting gift because they have so much respect for you. These words carried with me my whole sport career and shaped how I wanted other people to view me. This will be a speech that I show my children, hoping they get the same message out of it that I did.
Without her, who knows where we would be today. She taught all of us so much. Even though she did not give birth to us she is still our mom. She was there for every basketball, football, and volleyball game my brothers and I played.
Today, eighteen months ago my family came to this small box of a room and went into hiding. I shouldn’t complain though, we are safe, I have my family, and the ‘box’ we live in is actually quite cozy. Although these last few months have been very long, mother and father tell us everyday that we will be able to come out and be able to breath the fresh air for the first time in a year. We all know that they are just saying that to keep our spirits up. And even though it is tough living in a confined space for eighteen months I sure have grown closer to my wonderful family.
This is frequently something worth being thankful for really on the grounds that it urges each of us to work towards attaining our goals energetically and not let others to manage our life decisions. Be that as it may, when it comes time to sharing your life with your spouse, self-centeredness can be poisonous in certain ways. Marriage brings contrasts. It implies settling on choices close by another person that unequivocally influence the both of you. It implies taking a gander at circumstances from a point of view that isn't your own.
A person's spouse is supposed to be their best friend. They are the ones that their spouses should be sharing these emotional talks with. A spouse can be made to feel completely left out in the cold when their spouse is sharing wonderful
She may be my best friend but she also knew when to put me into place, she never let me get to far ahead of myself. I may have always thought I was right or that I knew better than her but she was never afraid to push me off my high horse, my dad always told her that " you can't be your kids best friend, you've got to be the parent and make them give you respect" but my mom knew when to be my friend and when to be my parent. That's what makes her special to
She always keeps me on my toes. She always takes the blame for me. One time I spilt the carton of milk all over the car and my clothes and when my dad walked in my mom took the blame for it. Another time when I forgot my minion for my art project twice she drove to school and brought it too me, so I could still do the minion for my art project. My mom is very thoughtful, by reminding me, and bringing things to
She also was on the school board at my grade school, was politically active, and was active in our church. Seeing her stand up to error in public situations gave me the strength to do the same. Sadly, I had to fight error in my high school history class. I disputed my religion teacher's position concerning the civil rights movement (just one of many discussions we had that year). But without Mom's example, I would have been silent like the other kids.
Love Each Other: Husbands and Wives love each other unconditionally. How you love will cause a great impact on your marriage. Love will bring comfort to your marriage. Each of you here had your own relationship with my Dad, each of you has your own set of memories and your own word picture that describes this man. I don’t presume to know the man that you knew. But I hope that, in this eulogy that I offer, you will recognise some part of the man that we all knew, the man that is no longer amongst us, the man who will never be gone until all of us here have passed.
Even before my first tear hits the ground, my mother is there to wipe it away. My mother feels my pain before I can even realize it. She understands my needs before I can even think of them. That’s why we call her a mother. My mother has been an extraordinary influence on my life and always will be. She’s the kind of mom who would always take time out and care for her four children and the mom who would never let her hardships in her life distress her kids. My mother has always been a very strong role model to me, and growing up with someone like her to look up to has changed my life in many ways. She has helped me grow physically, intellectually, and considerately. She taught me to always love, care, and give back to the people I am grateful for.
Also, she has always been a good friend to me and I will never stop thanking my mother for what she represents in my life. Moreover, I am glad that my mother is my role model because without her in that place I don’t know for sure if the person I would have followed would be as good as she is in fulfilling this task. A good role model is what everyone should have
My mother was not only worry and take care of me, she always by my side when I need her help. I felt sad, my mother always by my side to talk and to console. While I am glad, my mother is always been there to share and listen to me. When I failed to do something, my mother who was gave me advices. She has always supported me in all my choices. She tried to make me strong people with independent minds. I looks to her in hopes that someday I will be as happy, as strong and as well as
