Colt’s Lemonade stand During my time producing lemonade at Colt’s Lemonade Stand I sold a lot of cups at my lemonade stand. My mean for cups sold at 27.48, the median was 22, the mode was 20, 28 and the range was 52. On day 4 I sold 52 cups because it was 94 degrees during that time we sold a lot because it was really hot. The weather was bad one time because it was like 50 degrees and the sales were only 13 cents a cup. The best mixture in are lemonade was 4 lemons 4 sugars and 7 ice. The people liked are mixture because it was like 60 degrees and are mixture of ice and lemons and sugar was really good to them. Well the weather was fine to them but people just did not like the mature. The supplies was kind of easy to buy because we always
hade money to buy more things if we ran out. On the 24 day we got $30 and on are 25 day we bought aviary thing and we had like $2.56 money left .all of our supplies got spoiled because we did not buy lot of supplies. All of our ice melted in like aviary day. Are sugar got rotten to bugs got in to it. Are averring price was 25 cents and some people bought it some people didn’t. When we have are money really high nobody would buy it. If I played this game again I want the same partner if we play again. If I played again I think me and my partner would do better. We spent most of our money buying stuff. Like we bought sugar. We bought ice .we bought a lot of lemons to.
The final chapter of this book encourages people to be critical when taking in statistics. Someone taking a critical approach to statistics tries assessing statistics by asking questions and researching the origins of a statistic when that information is not provided. The book ends by encouraging readers to know the limitations of statistics and understand how statistics are
For this statistical inference, the question was whether the means were truly different or could they have been samples from the same population. To do draw a conclusion, we must first assume normal distribution. We must also set the null hypothesis to m1 - m2 = 0. And per this assignment we must set the a-level at .05 and the hypothesis alternative to m1 - m2 ¹ 0; thus requiring a two-tailed test.
Over the observed fifty seconds, there was a consistency among the temperatures. Without a calculated percent error, we are able to assume the average temperature was twenty-six degrees Celsius. There are factors that could have caused error to arise in our data collection. One factor could be that the temperature of the room was not consistent throughout the room. Another factor may have been the performance of the thermometer. The grasp in which the thermometer was held for procedure B may also be a factor.
iv)Taking the middle value for each birth weight category calculate the mean birth weight and standard deviation, across all singleton live babies. For the category of "999g and under" use 750g as the "middle value" for this category. For the category "5000 or over" use 5250 as the middle value. Calculate the mean birth weight and standard deviation for multiple live babies. Explain the method you used giving formulae. (5 marks)
The first thing that was decided upon was to find the Mean, Median, and Mode. Using a calculator they were able to obtain the exact numbers.
The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan recounts the events of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the lives of two individuals: Dalia, a Bulgarian jew, and Bashir, a Palestinian muslim. The Lemon Tree is a story of persecution , its consequences, and of human nature. In the 1940s the Nazis began the holocaust, a mass extermination of the jewish people and others that the Nazis deemed as “undesirable”, prompting many Jews to flee and seek refuge. Jewish emigration from countries in eastern Europe was met with anti semitic immigration policies in the west, thus leading to the mass migration of Jews to Palestine. The tensions between the jewish and arab Palestinians eventually evolved into the Arab-Israeli War of 1948. Citizens of Palestine were
...will fall within the first standard deviation, 95% within the first two standard deviations, and 99.7% will fall within the first three standard deviations of the mean. The Empirical Rule is used in statistics for showing final outcomes. After a standard deviation is found, and before exact data can be collected, this rule can be used as an estimate to the outcome of the new data. This probability can be used for gathering data that may be time consuming, or even impossible to found. When the mean equals the median and the values cluster around the mean and median, producing a bell-shaped distribution, then we can use the empirical rule to examine the variability. In this bell-shaped data set, we can calculate the mean and the standard deviation. The mean means the average value of the set of data. The standard deviation means the average scatter around the mean.
Found in the case study entitled, Promotion from Within at Citrus Glen, is a staffing process concern. The Citrus Glen Company, based in Florida, is a juice producer that supplies orange and grapefruit to food processors, grocery stores, convenience stores and restaurants in the United States. With rapid growth over the last few years, the HR vice president, Mandarine “Mandy” Pamplemousse, has been worried about how to staff the ever-expanding array of positions for Citrus Glen. Her concern is how to hire and promote enough individuals who are qualified for the needed positions. When Mandy is trying to staff internally, she uses a contractor based in Charlotte, NC called, Staffing Systems International (SSI). When positions become available that are appropriate to staff internally, she sends a group of candidates for the position to SSI to participate in the assessment center. The candidates are in the assessment process for three days. Mandy receives the results with recommendations, a few days after

Nearly every Friday and Saturday night in middle school, my friends and I would have slumber parties, and ice cream were the main constituent. Before everyone arrives at my house, each person would bring a carton of ice cream, toppings of their choice, syrups, and whip cream. At some point or another in the night my friends and I would congregate around my kitchen table and make ice cream sundaes. We would make different types of sundaes: large, small, overloaded with toppings, and fruit.

The company brings in over three billion dollars worth of revenue every year mostly due to their skill in advertising which is a crucial part of a company of such magnitude and Gatorade is known for their persuasive commercials. In the commercial chosen, several stellar professional athletes give the viewers details of some of their greatest failures. This caused each of them to work harder and become the athlete they are today by training harder and making them more determined. The Gatorade commercial that was chosen is a very effective ad because
Circumstances; they rule our lives. One has if not no control, then VERY little control, over their actions when they are placed in harsh circumstances. It is very difficult to break through your surroundings, to beat everyone around you.
Companies utilize different marketing strategies to appeal to their target audience. The methods they use to market their products usually reflects the target audience’s preferences or needs. Gatorade was invented at the University of Florida in 1965 by a team of researchers. They discovered nutrients were not being replenished when the school’s football team competed and formulated a solution to the problem. Today Gatorade primarily targets athletic or physically active individuals, especially professional athletes. Over time, Gatorade has become one of the most popular and leading sports drink companies in the world. Many people recognize what Gatorade is and what they do to help individuals who need the extra replenishment so they can continue
The mean is usually used as a measure of central location. However, the average is extraordinarily sensitive to abnormally large or small observations (Anderson et al., 2011, p.90). When using data with extreme values, the median is desired because its calculation depends less on the broadness of the rang...
