Harland Sanders, better known as Colonel Sanders was certainly not the most qualified person to start an ultra-famous food brand that would be known across the Earth. Harland Sanders was born on Sept. 9 1890 in Henryville Indiana. His mother Margaret Ann was widowed when Harland was 7. His father, Wilbur David, came home one day after work with a fever. He died before the morning. When he was 10, Harland’s mother remarried to William Broaddus. Broaddus and Harland didn’t have a great relationship, and at age 13, Sanders dropped out of the seventh grade and ran away from home to be a local farmhand. Before his death, he and his wife had tried to start their own restaurant to sell his actual original recipe. The executives at KFC sued, and shut the place down, leaving a sour taste in the mouth of the colonel’s mouth. He quickly went out in public and using his freedom of speech, completely roasted the modern KFC way of cooking. “Their gravy tastes like flour, cornstarch and about a gallon of dirty dish water put into a disgusting grimy cup. From then on, the colonel said nothing against KFC, and just went along his own private business until death. Knowing he only had hours to live, Sanders said that he didn’t want to be the wealthiest man in the graveyard, and donated a considerable portion of his wealth to charity, thinking that he should give back to from where he came. In 1944 Cesar joined the U.S Navy as a deckhand on a troop transport for 2 years. He joined so he would avoid getting drafted and being forced to fight in real gun fire. After he finished he moved to Delano, California. Their, one day in a theater he sat in an only white section. He didn't move so the police to him to jail and then later they released him because he didn't brake any laws. While he worked in a malt shop called "La Baratita" he entered a grocery wear he met his future wife Helen Fabela.

Then when war came upon the United States, all of the factories turned to something in the war production. During that time, rationing was a big memory for the time period. Meat and butter were highly rationed in Bruce’s childhood. Growing up in this tie proved to be on of the best experiences for Bruce. He was always outside and acting like a kid should. Him and his friends used their imaginations a lot as was the trend at the time.
