Recommended: An essay on life goals
There is one famous quote by Winston Churchill, that motivates me every day, whether I am working at my job, or doing studies, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
This quote relates so much to me because at times I find some things need an extra push to be able to achieve your goal. My sister is a perfect example of this quote because she always wanted to be on time, whether it be studying for tests, deadlines for things, or getting a head start before everyone. My lifetime goal is to do anything to be successful in life, whether it means to go the extra mile, and to help anyone in need in the process too. Another quote that motivates me is, "The price of success is hard work, dedication

Why should I choose a school that is rigorous and challenging? I have learned in my four years of high school that it is not only about getting A's in your report cards, but your determination of becoming the best in your class. Determination is an excellent quality of mine. It has made me the excellent, accomplished student, I have been working for all of high school. My classes currently being taken are showing me the real deal about college and that it will not be easy later, but if you have your mind and determination you can achieve anything you want.
National Honor Society is a club that makes students the leaders of today. My involvement in this society has shaped me into a sculpture of what the meaning of leadership really means. Whether it was donating food to our local food bank, or packing backpacks filled with school supplies and to hand them out to less fortunate students. There have been so many experiences that have made me want to go the extra mile and help out the people in need. Visiting the food bank made me realized that less fortunate people do anything to be able to eat food from this organization. What I accomplished from this story is that

This is where the church plays an important role in my life, because it makes them realize there's more to life than materialistic things. This can change the youth's perspectives on helping the importance of helping one in need, or people who are lost in themselves. Helping out at church is a very great love and passion for me. It has made me realize that we all have struggles and that if we work together as one to help one another spiritually or emotionally then we have accomplished the world. "Everybody can be great because everyone can serve"- Martin Luther King.
What are my goals in the next 5-10 years? I plan to succeed in all of my future goals for the next five to ten years. I am going to major in Biology and go on to Radiology Technology because that has always been a dream goal profession to work in. I want to study Anatomy and see what each muscle, bone in the body is function for, and see what advanced research in science can do for our

The Organization The organization that I volunteered at was the Carroll County Food Pantry in Carrollton, Kentucky. This operation runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3-5 p.m. for all community members, and on every third Wednesday 9:30 am-12: 30 pm specifically for the elderly. Throughout the week, the pantry gathers numerous volunteers. In fact, every month the local churches of Carroll County will rotate and work the food pantry on assigned days.
The hope food pantry in Chicago consisted of a lot of preparation. we have to make sure we have enough food on what they thought how many people on average was going to show up. We had to bag the food.
Throughout my life I have always had this deep seeded drive within my veins to empower and strengthen individuals. As a young child I was taught about the challenges, oppressions, and inequalities that countless individuals battle with through the teachings of my parents. Coming from an extremely supportive and caring family, my parents made sure that my siblings and I knew that not all individuals were as lucky as we. My parents instilled values and ethics within my siblings and I that influenced us to aid others less fortunate then us. Even as a young child, I did all that I could to help those who had less than I. At the young age of seven I can recall running around my house and cutting off all the box tops that were stamped onto our General Mills cereal boxes because I knew that those box tops meant that a child less fortunate than I would receive school items that they did not own.

Delivering food to these people was such a rewarding experience and I definitely plan on continuing to donate my time to participate in the Homeless Food Runs. When we first met up with each other, we were given instructions by the supervisors. The instructions were clear: give each person one box with a set of utensils and talk to them. Understanding the protocol, we set off on our journey to Farragut North. When we were crossing the street to go into the park, I saw a huge amalgamation of people, standing firmly in anticipation. Then it dawned on me . . . they were waiting for us. I had no idea that these people depend on a mere group of college students with cafeteria food that we generally see as repulsive. We delivered about fifty boxes of food and it seems like they were gone in seconds. These people needed us. Some people might see taking care of the less fortunate as a burden or a responsibility, but I see it as a gift. Watching the huge grins that spread across people’s faces as I handed them the white box filled with Pryz food was the epitome of heartwarming. It also made me think, should I be as excited and grateful to the person who hands me the same white box in the Pryz? This experience truly opened my eyes to the poverty and neediness that exists in Washingto...
Vincent de Paul or Goodwill, and buy an extra thing or two at the grocery store to give to those who need food. There are many things I can do to make a difference and change the world, even if the thing is small it can go a far way.

Motivation is defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviours. Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Goal Setting is where we set specific targets aims that we wish to achieve, they need to be S.M.A.R.T or else they become dreams rather than believable goals. .
Back in primary school, being questioned about ambition by the teachers seemed to be very normal. Excited, every student would be so eager and proud to share his or her ambition to everybody in the class. Pilot, doctor, teacher, policeman and lawyer are the most popular ambitions and answers that could be expected by the teachers. These decisions were made mainly because of the influences by television programs that portray the professional looks of those people when they are working, and the attractive salary that they earn. Moving on to secondary school, when everybody is being asked about his or her ambition again, most begin to doubt, some do not even have one (or most likely disappeared).

Your food pantry also needs to make sure they send out lots of letters and notifications to the local schools, so that the parents will be aware of the food pantry and know what is going on. The last thing that you can do is put flyers up in all your local stores in your community. You need to make sure that you do this so everyone will be aware of you, if they ever need some extra help. This will help all the people that may eventually need some help in their future.
Growing up in a third world country, I became more conscious and aware of the reality of poverty. Seeing children my age on the side of the streets, begging for food, made me realize how blessed I am that I have a meal to eat 3 times a day. I made a pact with myself that I would do everything in my power to help. This community is very important to me because it fulfills that promise. Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in Orange County. It feels good to have a group of people that you could connect with and have that same goal with you, to end hunger in Orange County. I feel accepted and that I have a
