Education: My Gateway to Opportunities and Self-Improvement

Education is the modern world’s most valuable asset, because with it, you can accomplish anything your heart desires. It will never lose it’s value and is always in demand. Over the past few years, I’ve learned this valuable lesson. Without the educational system, especially in high school, I would not be able to have the opportunities that I’ve experienced to this day. Education is important to me, for the reasons that it allows me to play sports, helps me build a career, and challenges me to become a better version of myself.

I’ve been involved in sports since before I could read. It’s a passion of mine that I take very seriously. Being in sports has helped me develop leadership skills, allowed me to travel, and has disciplined me; but without maintaining my grades and creating a balance between my schooling and athletics I would be nowhere as close to going to college for football than I am right now. The cycle of education comes around full circle for me. I go to school and maintain my grades in order to play sports that, I hope, will someday allow me to progress in my educational journey. Getting up in the morning can sometimes be a struggle and bouncing from class to class everyday can get a little boring, but being able to do these things shows commitment. I’m committed to graduating. Going to school for the past thirteen or so years has given me knowledge far beyond being able to add and subtract or use context clues. It’s taught me discipline, consistency, social skills, and the meaning of working hard to get what you want. If school was to never exist, then I would never be the man that I am today.
