Having grown up in the United States during the twenty- first century, media has constantly influenced a large part of my life through film, fashion, and journalism. By using todays Media Platforms to my advantage, I have personally seen and experienced the global effects that media has, and been part of this transformative process. I have also considered media to be a fascinating subject, while its always changing, and constantly shaping different cultures whether that’s through film, social media platforms, journalism, or broadcasting. I have always had a keen eye for fashion, taking particular interest in fashion merchandising and design. With the rise of various online platforms and their cultural impact, along with the fashion industry being globally focused, I find myself greatly influenced by independent fashion journalist from around the world. This was the moment that I realized just how much media can influence and impact someone’s life. With great confidence and a strong curiosity at the age of sixteen I had taken advantage of the opportunity and the media surrounding me to start connecting with the world. After three long weeks, I had created my own fashion and lifestyle website and begun reaching people in other states, in a short amount of time I had people following my work and being influenced by my words in other countries. In 2015, I was approached by a fashion company to start writing on their designs, this was another unique opportunity for me to reach others and possibly shape a company and its customers through media. The influences I was having in someone else’s life in such short time was astonishing. In 2016, two years after starting my media career, I was recognized by California State Senator Jeffery Stone and State Assembly Woman Melissa Melendez for my work as a Social Media
