Regarding my family, my parents have had a substantial impact on who I am as a person, my mother existing as one of the most influential individuals in my life. My friends are extremely valuable to me and crucial to my outlook on life, and provide diverse and genuine perspectives that I can discuss and use as a foundation for learning. Emotionally, my parental influence has molded the person I am by cultivating the special relationship I have with my parents and other adults. Always pushed to work hard and give the best version of myself possible, I have learned the value of ambition and fostered empathy towards others and their endeavors. I have learned to never take a helping hand for granted, and to never forget to offer one as well. Academically, my experiences with different groups of people have influenced who I am as a person and have affected my goals by presenting opportunities to interact and collaborate with such diverse individuals and cultures. Because of my environment, I am able to connect with people that not only serve as incredible teachers and mentors, but also as sources of genuine
To summarize Abe Lincoln Crosses a Creek, friendships are important factors for life that can make a positive impact for future life decisions.
The lessons are numerous and range from trivial to profound, but there’s one that's had the most impact on my life. Fortunately, I was born into a unconditionally loving family with good health and parents that I feel comfortable talking to under almost any circumstance. Until I got to really know my friends, I was aware that not everybody’s lives were like this but never really understood what a life without those privileges was like. But then my perspective changed when I found out that a couple of my friends have terrible relationships with their parents and suffer from depression and anxiety. Another one of my friends suffers from chronic migraines and has been hospitalized three times in the past year. All of my friends are incredible individuals, and knowing in detail of what they withstand on a daily basis has made me more empathetic to the people around me. I think we all forget sometimes that other people are people, we subconsciously go into this state of mind thinking we’re the center of the whole world. But in actuality, that is not the case; everyone else has their own unique lives and issues they’re dealing with. So what I’ve learned by knowing of my friends’ distinctive stories is just to be more cognizant of others. It's difficult to have that state of mind all the time, but in doing so I have better relationships with
These are my most salient factors because of the amount of opportunities in education that I have been afforded. My dad has a master’s degree in engineering and my mom has a bachelor’s in education. When I was younger, I assumed everyone went to college regardless of economic status because my parents and all of their siblings had gone. I was expected to get a higher education and that was always my plan. My family lives in the more affluent part of my hometown, so I went to an elementary school with kids from similar backgrounds to my own. I had several friends whose parents were lawyers and doctors. It wasn’t until I started middle school and had classmates from the less affluent parts of town that I realized not everyone’s parents went to college and not everyone was on the college

Even before my first tear hits the ground, my mother is there to wipe it away. My mother feels my pain before I can even realize it. She understands my needs before I can even think of them. That’s why we call her a mother. My mother has been an extraordinary influence on my life and always will be. She’s the kind of mom who would always take time out and care for her four children and the mom who would never let her hardships in her life distress her kids. My mother has always been a very strong role model to me, and growing up with someone like her to look up to has changed my life in many ways. She has helped me grow physically, intellectually, and considerately. She taught me to always love, care, and give back to the people I am grateful for.
My mom is always supporting me, no matter what activities I am involved with. She attends my sporting events, school events, church trips, and much more, as often as she can. When my mother comes to support me, she encourages me very much. If needed, she will tell me what I need to hear; I know she wants what’s best for me. When I get down, I know she will have my back and lift me up.
“‘Friends are important sources of companionship and recreations, share advice and valued possessions, serve as trusted confidants and critics, act as loyal allies, and provide stability in times of stress or transition”’ (qtd. in Dolich 1)
Friendships are one of the most important things you can get out of life. It’s something that everyone has to have because without it we would all go insane. Just think if no one talked to each other and we never made friends, this world would be a ticking time bomb. Studies say human need friendships and love to survive. So friendship is a big part of your life.
My mother was not only worry and take care of me, she always by my side when I need her help. I felt sad, my mother always by my side to talk and to console. While I am glad, my mother is always been there to share and listen to me. When I failed to do something, my mother who was gave me advices. She has always supported me in all my choices. ...mportant person in my life and I know that she will be always there for me with help, her love, and her care. She’s a wonderful person, she admires the beauty of life, and as a result she is always in a good mood. Now, like my mother, I’m a positive thinker, and I am a creative person who believes life is what you create it to be. I also know if I have to make any big decisions in my life, I can always ask my mom for advice because she has the wisdom and experience. I also know that she will tell me the truth even if it is not something that I want to hear, but she will tell me with kindness and without any judgment. My mother is my role model because she does so much for me; she gives me everything she has just to make my life easier. I love my mother and I am so thankful that she is the way she is. My mother is always there for me and I would do anything for her.
Whenever I am faced with a problem and have to make a decision, I know that my mother will be behind me one-hundred percent no matter what avenue I choose to travel down is. It is a great feeling to know that someone is always going to support me in anything I choose to do. It alleviates much of the stress that comes along with making decisions. For example, when I could not make a decision and choose which college I was going to, a community college or a university, my mother reassured me that she would be happy with the choice I made, as long as it made me happy. Having my mother tell me that alleviated much of the pressure I felt to pick a college. I did not want to disappoint her, and knowing that I would not, made the decision a lot easier. ...
Growing up in a remote area of Nepal, I observed my family members challenged economically, and my parents expected me to take care of my younger sister and help with household chores. I knew my parents were not able to go to college after their high school education. And I was aware that a lot of challenges were coming my way to academic career. I think my family and the society influenced my perception of understanding self as a human being and decision-making process.
All in all, my mother has had a great impact on my life. She encourages me to always grow and blossom into a better person each day of my life. No matter what happens in life, she has taught me to have faith and keep a smile on my face because better days will come. She’s been supportive and makes sure that I continue to prosper. Also, she has helped mold me into the young adult I am today and the success adult that I am sure to be in my future. My mother has greatly affected my life and for that she is greatly
During my life, I have learned many things that I’m either expected to do or know. My family and friends have impacted my life in multiple ways that have shaped me as a person over time. These values that my family has taught me has made me the person I am today and most likely the person I will be for the rest of my life.
