The impulse and challenge in problem solving, acquiring knowledge about new scientific concepts formed the most vital part of my schooling. My obvious inclination towards mathematics led me to take Mathematics, Physics and Information practices as my majors in high school. Scoring a 95.4% in my pre-university course was big boost to my self-confidence. In addition to this I was also ranked in top 1% out of 80,000 taking the statewide entrance test for admission into undergraduate courses in Sathyabama University, which helped me pursue electronics and communication engineering at Sathyabama University, accredited as an ‘A’ grade college by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, a top University in the neighboring state. My consistent grades across all the semesters bear testimony to it. For my last semester thesis, I chose to work on real time project titled “Implementation of Improved Security System for Gate Entry-Exit Control Using RFID based Network and Image Processing” under the guidance of L. Rexline Sheeba M.E (Ph.D.). The main objective of this project is to design a student security for entry and exit control management system using RFID for Sathyabama University Hostels. To develop this application, we used RFID technology, Biometrics Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 using C#, SQL, MATLAB 7.6. It was selected as one of the five best projects across 100 or so submitted by 200 students, a proud moment I shared with my parents.
Apart from academics, I have been involved in lot of extracurricular activities. I was active member of science club and nature club in my school, through which I had an opportunity to participate in environmental awareness programs and community services such as donating blood, organizing health camps, assisting raising funds for the care of elderly etc. I stood as a coordinator in our college fest and successfully organized the events like Robowars and Treasure Hunt. These activities have led to development of multifaceted personality and equipped me with strong interpersonal
One extracurricular activity that I am very passionate about would be the FFA. FFA has taught me so many things and it has brought me so many places. I 've learned how to be a great speaker from different events my advisor has challenged me to do. Public speaking has taken me so many places and I have attributed most of my success to FFA. When I was a freshmen I competed and received gold in the creed speaking competition. As a sophomore, I tried extemporaneous speaking and received a gold for that as well. As a junior I really wanted to challenge myself so I took up agricultural sales as my winter career development experience. I ended up being recognized as the state runner up individual agriculture salesman as well as the 15th best agricultural sales man in the nation. Now as a senior, I have been going around speaking at different school board meetings, advocating
Stricken with rickets, attention deficit disorder, a severed facial nerve, and being voted "most likely to end up in the electric chair" by his fifth grade class, this individual triumphed over many obstacles. As an aspiring writer and actor he was rejected as an extra in the film The Godfather and was persuaded to switch careers for more realistic goals. Sparks of genius were recognized in his script writing, but he was told only legitimate actors would have a chance at performing the title roles.
College Admissions Essay If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there.

The multitudes of extracurricular and academic activities I participate in were chosen because of their focus on my interests. I want to pursue a career in computer engineering and/or biological engineering. In order to help me accomplish this I carefully consider how extracurricular and academic activities will assist me in the future. Currently I am participating in several rigorous academic courses such as AP Physics C and AP Calculus BC to gear me towards a college environment, as well as a variety of clubs that focus on engineering and the sciences. A vast majority of the classes I take are advanced placement, which gives me the chance to obtain college credit before entering college. Advance placement classes also challenge me with faster paced instruction, which prepare me for the speed and difficulty of college level courses. I am currently taking AP Biology, AP Computer Science A, , AP Literature and Composition, AP U.S. Government and Politics, Pre-AP Chinese IV, and Honors Independent Research. In terms of extracurricular activities, I currently participate in the Stock Market Club, Science and Engineering Club, our school’s FRC team, and Chinese Club. In my free time I enjoy building computers, putting together parts lists for computers, programming, playing video games, and learning about various technical jobs and new computing technologies such as server administrator and quantum computing.
When’s the last time you can remember waiting for something longer than you hoped to? You know what I’m talking about. Like the time where you wanted something with all your heart, but felt insurmountably distant from having your desires satisfied. During my lifetime, I’ve faced battles of patience more than I’d prefer to. In fact, I’ve endured more moments spent waiting for lengthy periods of time than ones spent receiving satisfaction in rapid succession.

In all honesty, I do not even remember the precise reason why I decided to attend graduate school, though it was during the summer after my freshman year. Perhaps, because I recurrently kept hearing about graduates from my community and university going abroad for higher studies. Or, maybe I was uncertain about my plans after college and graduate school seemed like the easier alternative or it could be my endeavor to always aim higher. Whatever the reason, the fact remains that I have always had a penchant for an academic setting.
Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering. Had I been told in my childhood that some day in the future I would be so intensely invested in pursuing graduate studies in something so seemingly lackluster as “rocks”, I possibly would have pressed the refresh button on the direction my life was headed. Fatefully enough, the last sixteen years of school and college education has directed me to take up the multidisciplinary subject of geology for advanced studies, while rigorously grooming me to embark upon a research-oriented graduate course. I firmly believe that the PhD program at the Department of Geology at the University of Cincinnati will help me realize my full potential and enhance my skills to genuinely contribute towards innovation and scientific advancement in the field of Orogenic

The purpose of education should be rather to teach us how to think than what to think, how to enhance our minds, and how to enable us to think for ourselves than to heap up the memory with the ideas. Education is my strength and I have immense proclivity towards it. APPRENTICESHIP: Hailing from a family of academicians, I bear the virtue of receiving standard education from reputed schools in the city. I completed my schooling from P. Obul Reddy Public School with 89.6% aggregate topping science and math subjects, both being my favourite subjects. I had the basic computer courses during high school and was elated to know that at its foundation, Computer Science as well is a formulation of math from a different perspective.
