Would your parents ever tried to kill you because you would mess up their valuable machines? Yes, I was that kid who would play with machines and take everything apart then put it back together. Being able to take a machine apart and rebuild it back together is like a feeling that you have accomplished a goal even though you just put the parts into the same place where they were before. How do planes fly in the sky? How do cars accelerate? I chose the major mechanical engineering to answer all these previous scientific questions.

I would observe the inside parts of cars and try to learn how they functions. I was good at math, math is the language of numbers, it is a common language in which everyone can communicate with each other. However, engineering needs a lot of math to do programming, physics and other science courses. I realized mechanical engineering was not that easy major, it needs a lot of hard working, quickness, patience and ambition. My passion towards cars started growing bigger and bigger. When I was 12 years old, I tried to build a small remote control car, it did not work properly because i was lack of knowledge. Failing was a reason to push me insisting that I would be able to do it one day. Challenging the difficulties of engineering is very appealing. When I join this field, I will be learning new things daily as I adapt to new technologies and processes. I was not sure how I wanted to use interest and make a career out of it. I looked up couple ideas, for instance: a mechanic at garage shop, bus driver, and any handy-job that I could use my hands with. However, when I got older I realized how low down those jobs were. I went looking for a higher class job, then I knew about mechanical engineering and how I could make my interest and mechanical engineering come together. Playing with machines and designing cars would be the perfect enjoyable career for me, high pay, and easy
Everyone at one point has to make a decision on what they want to be when they grow up. For me, that decision came rather unexpectedly and was a result of a new found interest due to self-discovery. It all began when I was around the age of 8 and I watched a documentary on aircraft. It documented all about planes, how they work and the science behind them. I was immediately captivated and gaining all that information as a young child really hit the spot in terms of a new found passion and interest that I could see myself later using. This passion stuck with me ever since as I have spent tons of spare time studying different types of aircraft and collecting model planes. It ultimately helped me with my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up as being an aeronautical engineer. It is not a career most would pursue, but it shows how self-discovery impacted me at a very young age and the impact is so log lasting that it has influenced most of the decision I make now in terms of courses I take at school and the extracurricular activities I am a part of. Throughout my life, I have had an interest in working on cars, old trucks, or even tractors. Since I was younger, I would spend countless nights working on my quad. When I started driving, my interest in working on things became a hobby. I bought a 1985 K5 Blazer which took a hold of a lot of my time. Throughout my primary education, I had always excelled in my math classes, so my parents as well as my teachers always encouraged me to pursue a career in engineering. This was especially true during my senior year of high school when I was taking AP calculus and applying to colleges. Throughout life I have exceeded in Math and Science, they have always been my best classes, which is why I chose to be an Engineer major.
