Collateral beauty Collateral beauty is an American drama movie filled with emotions and plot twists that make it even more interesting and attractive to watch. Allan Loeb is the screenwriter of this movie and his only hope is that the moviegoers walk away inspired, encouraged and with a new perspective after watching it. The film stars are: Will Smith, Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Michael Peña, Naomie Harris, Jacob Latimore, Kate Winslet, and Helen Mirren. This movie is about a man named Howard, who begins writing letters to three important things in life: “death”, “love” and “time”, while grieving his young daughter’s death. He gets shocked when he starts getting replies from these “inexistent” people. His close friends who are also his business partners, start getting concerned about Howard's mental health as well as their company's future, as Howard's behavior has cost them numerous …show more content…

She tells him that on the day Olivia died, an old woman at the hospital had told her to notice the "Collateral Beauty", which she has learned to recognize as acts of selfless kindness that follow tragedies. Howard starts to understand the situation he’s placed in and starts to make efforts to change his mood. He visits Madeleine, and she persuades him to watch a video of her husband playing with their daughter, who turns out to be Howard and Olivia. Howard is able to acknowledge his daughter's name and condition, and hugs Madeleine while crying. Brigitte is revealed to be the woman who had told Madeleine about Collateral Beauty. Amy, Raffi, and Brigitte proudly observe Howard and Madeleine walking through a park, but they are gone when Madeleine turns toward them.
