For example I could be offered the opportunity to get the job I always dreamed of but then I decline because the fear of not doing what I needed to do like finish school haunts my brain. The reason why that can be a problem is because even though I know I would do extremely well at my job there is always the fear of something going wrong and then I 'd have no other type of work due to the fact of not finishing school. Another example would be missing a family members wedding because I still needed work to be done. It 's always the precious moments that always get shot down due to the fact that people are constantly told they need to do this or that and they listen and continue to miss every single moment or opportunity in their life that could change them
Procrastination has become such a bad habit for me. It is very hard to stop procrastinating everything once you have gotten into the habit of doing it. Once I had a term paper due for my religion class. It was to be ten pages long and we were told to spend a lot of time doing it. Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited to the very last minute to do it. I waited until the night before to do most of it. Needless to say, I was up very late that night. In this class there was always a part of the paper due on a certain date before the final paper was due. Having things due before the final paper is due keeps me on task and keeps me from procrastinating until the day before the paper is due. There was one paper which we had to get sources for a while before the paper was due and it forced me to keep up with the paper, rather than let it go to the last minute. This class has taught me that the earlier you start the more positive your final result will be.
Procrastination is the word that I would use to thoroughly depict people. It’s not that everyone procrastinates, but most people do, and almost everyone has at least once in their lifetime. I am positive that you have put off an assignment and had good reason to do so. I often put off all my assignments because the TV is always a better way to spend my time. Out of the three attempts to squash my tendency to procrastinate, only one seemed to work. The first thing I tried that worked, was to set a timer for 10 minutes, and just work for those 10 minutes.
