As a health service manager or administrator establishing a professional code of ethics, conduct and morality is very important. Every individual should be treated with the up most respect regardless of their financial means. In the public health field, administrator should keep their promises of putting patients need first. Implementing a code of ethics will assist the administrator in determining the standards and expectations for conduct .The ACHE Code of ethics would be a great source and tool for knowing the standards and practices of your profession. Although Health service administrator practices social justice, there is also the ethical issue of distributive justice that needs to be considered. Distributive justice involves the fair amount of distribution of benefits and its burden on the society. This ethical issue is challenging and requires great lengths of discussion among health care professionals and government. Health service administrator should construct its definition of fair treatment for their patients and community. This ethical decision making process will require investment in time and resources to come up with an ethical position. I believe that universal health care is for the greater good of the public than the individual. We as future health service administrator act with social responsibility and serve as good stewards of theses resources. Universal health care needs to be researched and examined with a strong foundation in practice-based ethics to confront the challenges of universal health care. One challenge would be autonomy, Individuals feel they have the right to decline or not be taxed for universal health care.
