Health service management are considered to be health care professionals and a in a field where leadership, management and administration are there primary role of public health systems as well as hospitals and hospitals networks. Special training and skills in management are highly recognized in health service management. They number in a huge range of environments including Finical, human resources, clinical management, staff management, project management and procurement, information management, facilities management and operational management. The clinical nurse management unit’s number one goal is to provide the best quality care to its patients. The clinical nurse manager is the key component for achieving this goal, this is because they remove obstacles in the way of achieving their tasks, provide guidance and encourage professional growth of the staff. They have the responsibility to ensure that nurses have all necessary resources, have access to necessary equipment, and are knowledgeable about the various disease processes and treatments of unit’s patients. One intervention a clinical manager implements is knowing the level of practice towards there unit and there leadership style (in this case registered nurses), they are able to choose an appropriate leadership style suited for a specific purpose for example, directing, coaching, supporting and delegating thus potentially implementing and improving quality in not only work procedures but a healthy work environment. (Longo, Roussel, Pennington & Hoying, 2013)
Another intervention a clinical manager can implement is Situational Leadership, This allows the clinical nurse manager the three skills a leader must know how to utilize, diagnosing, flexibility and partnering with their unit ( in this case nurses). This allows a clinical nurse manager to develop their stuff at the highest level of performance. (Longo, Roussel, Pennington & Hoying, 2013)
By implementing strategies such as feedback reports, evaluative criteria’s and what is called “pressure created by managers”, we potentially can provide a much higher quality towards patient centered care and motivating there specific unit to achieve higher goals.(Damschroder et al.,
