In the book Coffee Rust: Epidemiology, resistance, and management Ajjamada Kushalappa asserts, “After petroleum coffee is the most important product in international world trade” (Kushalappa, Eskes 1989) Given this fact, it can be safe to assume the growing of this crop plays a large role in many countries economic stability. Coffee rust is a disease of the Coffee tree which has proven it has the ability to decimate a farmer’s crop in a short period of time. Coffee rust is caused by the fungus Hemileia vastatrix. This disease has been established as one of the most catastrophic plant diseases of human history, along with others such as blight of potato and black stem rust of wheat. (Kushalappa, Eskes 1989)
As you very well know, climate change is one of the biggest challenges of the current age. While few countries in the area are able to work on mitigation and adaption, The Republic of Congo has been diligent in passing laws that can further preserve our planet. I am writing this letter to talk about what positive impacts have come from the recent laws set in place, as well as advise a plan for furthering the mitigation of climate change in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This was the best way to drive the development of the world’s largest commodity. Coffee is an inelastic good, meaning if coffee prices increase the quantity demanded will not decrease by much. Growers will produce more coffee than consumers want. Child labor is an issue brought up by the fair trade organization in the production of coffee (The Problem with Fair Trade). Research is being done to see if the fair trade organization is actually helping the poverty as it should be and if it harming the non- trade farmers.
Global warming is a very serious case, especially on a world wide scale knowing that it poses many extreme problems to different countries. Columbia is an upstart and emergent developing country that is significantly yielded by the issue of global warming.
Our product, (along with our idea) will have significant impacts on the world, both in the short term and long term. For example, the global warming crisis is one that impacts everyone worldwide, no matter your area. Global warming is one of the few density-independent issues that our world faces, meaning that, unlike problems such as disease, disasters, wars, etc., the problem does not depend on how densely populated an area is. For example, if a disease breaks down in Africa, the disease will most likely be restricted to Africa and will not make its way to Canada. This is because the disease is dependent on the African population. However, global warming on the other hand is going to impact both Canada and Africa, which means that it does not depend on population.
The Amazon Rainforest is the world's largest tropical rainforest that we have today on our planet. It covers a wide range expanding almost entirely across from East to West of South America.
