Case conceptualization explains the nature of a client’s problem and how they develop such problem ( Hersen, & Porzelius, p.3, 2002) In counseling, assessment is viewed as a systematic gathering of information to address a client’s presenting concerns effectively. The assessment practice provides diagnostic formulation and counseling plans, and aids to identify assets that could help the client cope better with concern that they are current. Assessment is present as a guide for treatment and support in the “evaluation process. Although many methods can be employed to promote a thorough assessment, no one method should be used by itself” (Erford, 2010, p.269-270). Eventually, it is the counselor's job to gain adequate information concerning the client and the client's presenting concerns to establish an effective treatment strategy. Using a combination of assessment techniques increases the likelihood of positive interventions and promotes successful treatment (Erford, 2010, p.271). A case conceptualization reflects how the professional counselor understands the nature of the presenting problems and includes a diagnostic formulation. Case conceptualization organizes assessment data into meaningful outline, applying research, and theory to make sense of client’s current problem.

The first event of a good thriller must set off the plot, showing jeopardy and getting you interested in finding out what this movie is going to be about. At the very start of 'The Client' Mark Sway, a rebellious teenage boy, stumbles across a suicide, a situation that gives many conflicts to deal with and involves you in the movie at an early stage. From here a fast pace of issues arise and develop to thicken the plot and keep your interest, for instance the main character Mark is constantly facing his problems, usually related to the suicide, throughout the movie.
When formulating a plan, it is important to remember that students do not exist in a vacuum. What is a problem behavior in one class may not be a problem in another; problem behavior from the home may never manifest in school. A key means of decreasing the frequency and intensity of problem behavior and reducing the need for more intrusive intervention procedures is enhancing a student's quality of life.

During assessment I met with Steve, his mother, and the attendance counselor to assess the problem with attendance and discuss ways to encourage coming to school regularly. As the meeting concluded, a goal for increased attendance was set, in order for Steve to improve his academic grades. Throughout our initial meetings, Steve was closed off. Steve refused to express reasons for the issues at school. As the role of a clinician it is important for them to continue in their education and training, keep up to date with the most current ACA code of ethics as well as state laws and regulations. Often times clinicians or counselors believe they are behaving in ways that benefit their client when in reality it was for the benefit of the professional and the client feels betrayed or mislead, giving them a negative view of the counseling profession. Butkus & Mutchler (2012) state that as a preventative method that when an accurate diagnosis of ADHD is recognized it is the responsibility of the clinicians “to share all the options available to youth and their families in treatment for ADHD [and/or other mental health] related issues” (p.933).

To do this he creates strong interesting characters along with an in depth storyline to lure the reader in. John Grisham raises important themes and issues in all his novels, this story raises such issues as suicide and corruption. In ‘The Client’ we are faced with rather rough but also innocent young boy who is suddenly thrown into a complicated circle of lies, murder and revenge all because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
