MIS-CONCEPTIONS SURROUNDING CLEANLINESS/ TIDINESS: It is very unfortunate that some people take almost everything too far-fetched. Life has to strike balance; otherwise our appropriate cause will become meaningless and quite distorted. Much as cleanliness is of paramount importance in our lives, it should not be too exaggerated that it becomes something out of touch of reality or something doable and achievable. The stubborn truth is that as long as we live upon this earth, we can never really get rid of germs completely though we certainly try hard to minimize them through bleaching and other powerful household detergents and the like. This means obviously that there is some minimum degree of dirt in probably whatever we consider very clean. Apparently, the message the Author is trying to bring …show more content…
Life is too short to be careless about. Which means live your very best whilst still around. Make the most of it to be very comfortable with your surroundings and environments. Let alone the inside of your houses and your bodies. Do not despise yourself. Fully maintain that round hut, single room, apartment and small house. Do not wait until you get a spacious house because that house will be like a deserted field with items all over if you do not learn to be orderly in a small place. In ending this book, I will quote a poem of peace written by Pastor Tony Garcia in (2014), entitled:- PEACE: Once upon a dream I had. I saw a beautiful Prince and Princess. And round and round I danced on pastels of roses, And then I finally understood, that joy, cheer and happiness or experience every day, That peace is only upon this day, So when you feel sad or in deep despair, Look for me and I will be right there. It is a fact of life that all of us need peace and joy to be able to live clean, healthy and fulfilling lives on this
Imagine the peace if everyone allowed themselves to feel gratitude for everything and allowed their hearts to be warmed by the day to day.

The title “Dirty Word, Clean Place” implies some contradictions. The adjectives are considered opposites. In addition, a “dirty word” usually refers to a curse word or inappropriate phrase, whereas a “clean place” seems to imply a more literal meaning. David Quammen is obviously a well-educated man. His vocabulary is very extensive. He uses quite a few words that one would not hear in a casual conversation, such as “inimical” and “polemic.” Quammen uses many examples throughout his article, and cites many of them, implying that he knows his stuff and has sources to back it up.
When given the option to choose a life of transience or permanence, what does Ruth decide and why?
In the text, The High Cost of Manliness, writer Robert Jensen discusses the harmful effects of having male specific characteristics such as masculinity. It has come to his attention that men’s actions and ways of living are judged based upon the characteristic of being manly. Jenson argues that there is no valid reasoning to have characteristics associated with males. Society has created the notion that masculinity is the characteristic that defines males as males.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom always to tell the difference" (60, 209).
“The 1910 Report of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching… further heightened expectations for substantial improvements in the quality of medical care and in the general health of the population” ( Winkelstein, Jr., 2009, p. 44). Issues such as major medical care problems and public safety existed in US cities after industrialization. The emerging progressive era would work to correct sanitation and medical system issues which lead to the US improving conditions. Most of the U.S. population would not acknowledge that there were any problems and these institutions would try to exclude certain people from having access to any health programs. In the Progressive era issues in the healthcare and sanitation systems were improved

This literature review will analyze and critically explore four studies that have been conducted on hand hygiene compliance rates by Healthcare workers (HCWs). Firstly, it will look at compliance rates for HCWs in the intensive care units (ICU) and then explore the different factors that contribute to low hand hygiene compliance. Hospital Acquired infections (HAI) or Nosocomial Infections appear worldwide, affecting both developed and poor countries. HAIs represent a major source of morbidity and mortality, especially for patients in the ICU (Hugonnet, Perneger, & Pittet, 2002). Hand hygiene can be defined as any method that destroys or removes microorganisms on hands (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009). According to the World Health Organization (2002), a HAI can be defined as an infection occurring in a patient in a hospital or other health care facility in whom the infection was not present or incubating at the time of admission. The hands of HCWs transmit majority of the endemic infections. As
Many people have different feelings about cleaning. I need my area to be clean to be able to focus, so I like to clean unless I am told to clean. Cleaning makes me feel peaceful and keeps my head on straight and helps me feel more in charge. Some people don’t like to clean and that is alright. When it comes to cleaning, it’s really about whatever makes the person feel good; but every adult needs to be able to clean up after himself or herself and those he or she provides for.
...or our own happiness and enjoyment of all things. The Dalai Lama argues where else could the greatest and most meaningful form of happiness come from if not from sharing the love and understanding with every person on earth regardless of your dislike in them, the difference in social class, or the level of work you do at your jobs. He says, “Compassion and love are not mere luxuries. As the source both of inner and external peace, they are the fundamental to the continued survival of our species.” (Dalai Lama, pg. 67). In other words, unconditional love is what keeps our human existence alive and well.

“ Community, Identity, Stability (p. 7).” This is the motto for the people.. For the people in A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley stability is everything. The first word in their motto is community. The dictionary definition of community is a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. In order for this to work social stability is essential. In order to keep society stable, you need rules to live off of. “But cleanliness is fordliness,” she insisted. “yes, and civilization is sterilization… (p. 110).” To the people in this new world, it is important to keep clean for many reasons such as, it is a part of their culture or it can help stop any pathogens or disease. If something were to happen and
We live in a beautiful world and have many valuable resources and beautiful views all around us almost everywhere we go. Our world supports not only us, but many creatures that are all interwoven and connected to each other in unique and important ways. The greatest binding point that all of us on the Earth have with one another is that world we live in sustains us in our existence. Without it, we wouldn't be here and we wouldn't be able to live. As we go through our daily lives we need to remember this as we make our choices, because if we affect our surroundings so much that their essence is changed or lost, eventually that change will come back to affect us; positively or negatively. In order to make sure that we can continue to enjoy this world, along for those that will come after us, is to work to live sustainably.
