There are about a million and one things to look into when parents are deciding if they will send their child to preschool. The history of preschool shows a lot of interesting information about how preschools have changed and how they affect students. It is said that preschool will give students a head start. Some other things that are not usually brought up right up front are locations of preschools, the curriculum taught, the types of teachers, etc. People generally just think about the cost and the fact they have a place to send their child to learn while they work.

Child care can be pricey and the quality of the child care is also something to think about as well. Parents want their child to grow up and become very successful in life. A substantial amount of research considers how children develop and form attachments from a few months old, as this period can have huge implications later in their life. Children’s experience of attachment will provide them with a schema about how attachments form so it’s critical they have a positive childhood and form close bonds, especially with a primary caregiver. Parents should look for a licensed daycare center with the ability to work with your schedule and is worthy enough to care for your child. A good daycare should have a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and be known for its nurturing environment (Baby Center - Signs of A Good Daycare). Parents should speak to parents that currently have enrolled their children and be mindful of the impression you make. If the parents you know are not raving about it, then it is not the daycare for you. When looking for a traditional daycare environment, find a daycare that fits your schedule.

Going to school is very time consuming and so is having kids. Most people that have kids don’t finish college, if they started. It is a struggle to find people continuously to watch your child, especially if they are working as well. I have seen people bring their child to class if the teacher allows it. Parents have a hard time getting a babysitter. Being that Baton Rouge Community College is a community college most people cannot afford the daycare. A lot of classes you may need do not have an online course. Having a free daycare, open all day, on campus would be great. So many people would be at ease.

Introduction I have chosen to do my case-study at a childcare center in Framingham. This center is owned by Staples Headquarters and run by childcare company Bright Horizons. Day-care is a place where children ranging from as little as one month, to any other age, are taken care of during the day. This could be due to the parents being too busy to take care of them during the same time, either due to work, school, or other time consuming obligations. Day-care therefore provides alternative care for little children, when their parents are away. This is widely criticized by a large number of people who believe that children should not be left under the care of strangers.
Children tend to learn from other children and the environments they are in. When sending a child off for hours of their day, they learn from what is constantly being taught while they are there and the punishments for bad behavior. Daycare is where a child learns social development and how they will respond to another child who they are not familiar with; they learn the rights and wrongs of interacting with others. They also learn emotional development; many children cry when being dropped off for daycare, knowing the people they are constantly surrounded with will no longer be there. children also learn the emotions of other children and how other children react.
People are not allowed to permanently in a day care center. It works in the same manner as the day care center for young children. It is a place where adults can spend time in a group setting and provides an excellent place for carrying out short term rehabilitation. Most adult daycare centers work by providing social contact to elders who have joined the center. They ensure that people attending them have a good set of activities to perform and are just supervised in a very gentle manner during their time spent in the center.
