Chrysanthemum Stone is about new beginnings and making positive change, but at a deeper level its about balancing polarities.
Its a stone that embodies the energy of balance – mastering polarity in a creative way, teaching us that lifes expressions are all beautiful even if they appear chaotic, filled with suffering or tragedy. Out of this comes its polar opposite and a chance for life to begin fresh, with new energy, new direction and new outcomes.
Chrysanthemum Stone is about embracing life in all its aspects in a balanced way so that you may have more of it.
Its about the internal journey and the external one, the yin and the yang that both happen simultaneously. Perfect for those whose life seems to be falling apart and need that bridge
What I liked most about it was reading from two different perspectives and how those different perspectives met through the book.
I always looked at death as such a sad thing that is eventually going to occur to everyone. However, after reading this book, it made me realize death can actually be a beautiful thing. Death allows a person to go to a next life, one where they will be loved and others will be there for them. It was interesting to be able to read about stories that these hospice care workers witnessed themselves. I have experienced a few deaths within my life and I never coped with them very well. After reading this book, I honestly believe I will be able to look at the positive side of death and be able to deal with my emotions better. I can also help others surrounding me deal with a death that they are experiencing. This book was filled with information that I loved learning. For example, I never knew that a dying person can choose a time to die. The thought of this never occurred to me before. I always thought that when it was someone’s time to go, they had no choice. But, a dying person can “put off” passing on until they see a certain person or event that has great significance in their life. Nevertheless, there are still people who will wait to die until they’re all alone in the room. This book makes you think of real life situations and think what you would do in them. Taken as a whole, it was a very in depth book that changes the way you would naturally perceive
It deals with obstacles in life and the ways they are over come. Even if you are different, there are ways for everyone to fit in. The injustices in this book are well written to inform a large audience at many age levels. The book is also a great choice for those people who cheers for the underdogs. It served to illustrate how the simple things in life can mean everything.
The theme of this novel is to look at the good you do in life and how it carries over after your death. The moral of the book is; "People can make changes in their lives whenever they really want to, even right up to the end."
Reef shows great compassion and love towards the characters that have had a large impact on his life. His grandmother was an important figure that motivated Reef to reach his fullest potential even through times of darkening rejection. Reef and his grandmother collect stones together and use them to symbolise things in their life. “It was his grandmother who had somehow made the hardness bearable, and it was she who had placed the first stone in his hand” (Aker, 32).
word “art” which may imply something about the materialistic world that she tries to be a part of. Interestingly, and perhaps most symbolic, is the fact that the lily is the “flower of death”, an outcome that her whirlwind, uptight, unrealistic life inevitably led her to.
sink into the sanctum of a bloom; the thousand sister-calyxes arch to meet the love embrace
The struggle of past memories. An individual who experiences these traumatizing experiences can damage their lives and there are programs that help build up their identity. The book states that souls are the damaged being. The experience of a damage soul limits one to grow and continue with their lives. It is similar to therapy and I appreciate this because self-health is important and several do not believe it is a health care. One who focuses on their thoughts and fixes them can grow.
Its Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini is about facing the problems that occur in life and having the capability to deal with those hardships. I love this realistic fiction book because of the way the author portrays the thoughts of the main character. This story is something that relates to many lives today. Its so interesting to hear what a person going through this situation is thinking of. I love the ongoing theme of acceptance whether it was when Craig was making connections with the other patients, or when his family was telling him how their support will always be there.

For those who disagree, it also appears to be about a lover who perceives the world through love which he finds in sunlight.
To represent the body, or physical health, I incorporated three flowers onto my project - lavender, chamomile, and St. Johns Wort. The flowers represent the herbs and medications used to heal the physical body - the type of care commonly associated with a health care setting. Lavender heals restlessness, insomnia, nervousness, and depression. Chamomile treats inflammation, skin diseases, and spasms. St, Johns Wort cures mild/moderate depression, nervousness, insomnia, and
... over several years time. Crossroads encountered several times in one day in The Celestine Prophecy probably happen over a much longer period to someone finding one's self. I enjoyed and was intrigued by the control dramas analogy that was presented in The Celestine Prophecy. They sure seemed to enhance understanding on the issue. Also this spiritual enlightenment story portrayed to me that healing to an awareness of our inner light can move right along when we are not encumbered by blame and guilt. There was no judgment implied as to which choices that one makes, it seemed to be simply a matter of preference if one chose to liberate or not. Acceptance of whatever is flows through the entire book. Naturally we would come to choose healing, and naturally we would tolerate those not ready to do so yet. But what blew me away is how blatantly and clearly the writing conveyed how the fearful phenomenon of dysfunctional codependency plays itself out--people attempting to live on each other's energy in lieu of tapping their own inner power. This can be seen in the scene where they seen the energies exchange between some people. All and all I enjoyed reading this novel by James Redfield.
...he novel explores the sense of smell and its relationship with the emotional meaning that scents may carry. Above all it is a story of identity, communication and the morality of the human spirit.
Stone carving is an ancient process that has evolved over time. There is a specific set of skills needed on order to become a successful stone carving artist, however anyone can obtain this set of skills through much practice and a basic understanding of the principals of art and design. Stone as a material can be very diverse and to learn the technique the artist first must know the media they will be working with. After learning the media an artist must know the technique, the process, the tools needed, and the limitations of the material.
