I love Christmas, don’t you? I love putting up all the lovely decorations. I love seeing all the food, and eating it. I love having all my family gather in one place and spending time together. I love hearing songs of the season on the radio. The Christmas carol “Carol of the Bells” created by Mykola Leontovych, tells of the peace and joy Christ brings.
The history and background of “Carol of the bells” is quite interesting. The background of the song I weird. First of it wasn’t originally a Christmas song. It was just a song at first about a swallow (bird) entering a house. You are probably wondering what the song was like. It was a haunting 4 note tune created for in the home town and country of Mykola Leontovych. The question is where was

I mean fast like the way people usually sing it. Also it seems fast because the song is short. I also like that the song is peaceful. It is peaceful in the sense that it is calm. It is not too loud and there is soft singing. This song also helps me think. It helps me think because it is silent and the people don’t sing very loudly so I don’t focus on the words. I love the attitude in the song. It is calm happy and joyus. I love the description of the atmosphere and how are people are behaving. There are different renditions to this song but I have two favorites. One is by metallica https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GufRiBUZQPc and the other is by the Pentatonics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSUFzC6_fp8. That is why “Carol of the Bells” resonates with …show more content…
There is quite a lot of symbolism in this song. One major symbolism is joyfulness. Here is a stanza that shows joy dullness. Ding, ding, ding, dong, that is their song With joyful ring all caroling One seems to hear words of good cheer From everywhere filling the air. This is another example, Oh, how they pound, raising the sound O'er hill and dale, telling their tale Gaily they ring while people sing Songs of good cheer, Christmas is here. This song also symbolizes the attitude of the people. In the song they are happy and they talk about the good things of christmas. There is also a really intriguing message. The song talks about what we should do during Christmas. The song says people should sing carols and throw cares away. It also tells us how and why we should do it. It says to joyfully sing and throw cares away so we can have a good time. You can even find scripture that ties into what the song is saying. One example is Psalms 47:1 Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! A stanza from the song that correlates with this is With joyful ring all caroling One seems to hear words of good cheer From everywhere filling the air. Apart from a separate stanza that still relates to this is, people sing Songs of good cheer. Another example is Philippians 4:8. Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever
The title to the novella 'A Christmas Carol' this suggests that the story will be a joyful Christian message. 'Christmas' is a time for celebration and togetherness. It is the time for forgiveness, kindness and charity. 'Carol' is a chant which a group of people sing Christmas and Christian songs, so this is meant to be a time where people have fun and are united with family and friends.
Christmas has consumed itself. At its conception, it was a fine idea, and I imagine that at one point its execution worked very much as it was intended to. These days, however, its meaning has been perverted; its true purpose ignored and replaced with a purpose imagined by those who merely go through the motions, without actually knowing why they do so.
A Christmas Carol is jubilant spiritual hymns to celebrate the birth of Christ which is sang by a group of people friends, family and anybody who wants to.
The song, once again, is quite simple but it is this simplicity that makes the song as powerful as it is. It was very well written and every musical instrument that accompanied the song was epic. This piece of work is truly a masterpiece.
“I will honour Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year,” Charles Dickens. “A Christmas Carol” is a wonderful film and play created by author, Charles Dickens. This story takes place in London of the year 1843. “A Christmas Carol” both the movie and play have many similarities and differences from each story, which would include its setting, characters, conflict, climax, and resolution.
Know this song...Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh? Well it was written by organist James Lord Piermont for a Thanksgiving program at a school church in Savannah, Georgia. O’re the things we go laughing all the way. Jingle Bells which is the name of this song, is one the most popular Christmas carol in the world. This song was first released in 1857 and published with the name One horse open sleigh. Jingle Bells was often used as a drinking song in Christmas parties, people used to jingle their cups with ice and sing along.

My impressions of this song is that it’s a good remix of their African roots and more modern pop. The whole song has a nice melody effected by African rhythms which really match Nico and Vinz’s voices. I have heard the song far to often but I still think it’s a good song.
The first verse of the song depicts an argument between a man and a woman. The woman is angry at the man because he is drunk on her doorstep, apparently as he had been many times before. The argument progresses until she slams the door in his face sending him away with harsh words, calling him a "disgrace." As this scene breaks, the people around watch and "drool" at the chance to gossip about the man and woman whose problems make them feel more comfortable and content with their own lives. In desperation, anger, and remorse, the man calls to his love. He does not seem to understand how they have come to this point when the love that they had once seemed so wonderful. Calling her "mad," he does not understand how she could throw away and give up on the love they had. The man cannot see how his drunkenness destroyed their love. He cries at her door and "his tears fall and burn the garden green." The garden green symbolizes the thriving, beautiful love they once had for each other, the love that has been destroyed by his drinking problem. The garden being burned by his tears symbolizes the final end to their love as the man cries outside her door, never to experience the wonderful love he had with this woman again. In the recurring line, "castles made of sand fall int...

In the second stanza, we are presented with golden wedding bells. This stanza has a total of twenty-one lines. These two things together seem to symbolize that the golden period in ones life happens in their twenties. The third line in this stanza, " What a world of happiness their harmony foretells!" tells of a marriage between two people. The new couple will be joined together in harmony, creating a world of happiness. Reference to a turtle-dove in this stanza symbolizes peace in this period of life. Compared to the first stanza, which used words such as "twinkle" and "tinkle", the second stanza gives off a more mature feel with words like "rapture" and "impel." The third stanza also refers to the future, as people at this age start thinking seriously about their future. In the first two stanzas, the bells are of desired metals, and the reader interprets them as positive sounds
From the first stanza of this song, you get put into a scene. You know almost immediately that it is about someone, and it is the middle of December, but without stating the obvious, it paints a more illustrated picture for you. The first line states, “A winters day, in a deep and dark December” and I could almost immediately feel a cool breeze around me. When I normally think of a winter’s day, I think of people playing in the snow, and having a good time. This may be because I grew up in Southern California where there has been a lack of snow, but in my head, that is what I imagine. Having them state, in a deep and dark December, turns my attitudes to the more pessimistic way of looking at things. The image of children playing in the snow in my head has now turned to cold and dark emptiness. Reinstating my idea of emptiness, the next line follows with the simply statement, “I am alone”. Personally, I hate being alone. So to have the opening words place us in a deep and dark setting, and then state that you are alone, automatically puts me in a negative mindset.
The joy in the air, the cold weather, and the overall feeling of contentment shared by everyone, all of these come with christmas. Everyone loves christmas, you get to go shopping buying gifts for all your family and friends, and on christmas morning, you get tons of gifts yourself. However over the years, christmas has become more of a commercial holiday then anything else. Stores view it as a way to make me money, and many people view gift giving as attempting to “outgive” everyone else. This is sad as it detracts away from what christmas is really about, and that is the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ.
The theology of this song is to evidence the unlimited power of the Holy Spirit. There is a daily need for a fresh outpouring of His Spirit. Romans 8:11 provides that “All those who put their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately and permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthian 2:11(NIV) “For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them?
Christmas to me is a celebration, which includes spending time with my family, decorating the entire house, inside and out, and shopping, for the people I love. Doing this with the people I love is what means the most to me. Spending Christmas with my family is very important to me. We usually gather and celebrate at my parent’s house, in East Tennessee. My husband, our three children, and myself travel from California. My two sisters, their husbands, and children come from a nearby town, for our celebration.
