What I did on Christmas Break 2017,
Over Christmas break 2017, I basically stayed locked up in my room the whole break playing video games. At the start of the break I would consistently played with my little brother until I got to my mother’s house where the Xbox was. Basically the whole time I was on the Xbox playing games. I didn’t really get anything at my mother’s house because she didn’t know what to get me. On Christmas I went back to my dad’s house and opened my presents there and got a lot of cool goods. For example I got a cotton candy machine, $225 in gift cards, and a ripstik skateboard. After Christmas I went to my moms house until January 1st and celebrated New Years there. I went back to my dad’s house and brought the Xbox with me I also played on that for the rest of the break. For the rest of the break besides the times I was playing Xbox, I went outside in the back and played basketball with my little brother. Also I would play the PS4 with both of my brothers or we would take turns using my ripstik in the backyard. Sometimes I made cotton candy for my little brother. I even went to the custom store to buy my individual Realm jacket. Other than all those thing I listed off I basically just played video games, ate chips, and drank soda the whole time we were on break.
We would get together to celebrate usually at my parent’s house for my mom’s side of the family. At Easter we always had a ham and many side dishes. Thanksgiving always brought a delicious turkey, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn and my favorite cranberry relish. For Christmas we had a ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed carrots, and for desert pumpkin pie. We always had a Christmas tree of some sort with homemade decorations that us kids made. We also celebrated my brother’s birthday since he was born on Christmas Eve. A tradition of my own was to get my parents to let me open one gift on Christmas Eve, because my brother got his birthday presents and I thought it was not
Everybody knows why the Grinch stole Christmas. The Grinch was an orphan. He came from another planet far, far away maybe there was not enough air on that little dwarf planet. Not even enough for a mouse. This is why he fell off the planet and landed on an old ladies couch. She was very nice but Santa didn’t know he existed because he landed there on Christmas Eve after Santa had already made his rounds.

How time does a teacher need to get ready for a new school term? One day? No one would suggest that one day is enough time to close out one term and prepare for the next, but that is exactly what happens in some school districts that have year-round schedules. For years different districts have been experimenting with these schedules, and now even more are considering converting to year round schedule. For many reasons, schools should stay with the traditional schedule.
Spring Break is a time where you get to relax and spend time off from your teachers and classmates. The two things I liked was getting to spend time with my team and getting eighth place at a state meet.

Frosty the Snowman waves hello alongside Santa 's reindeer that are ready to take off. Candy canes line the sidewalk and the ginger bread dolls dance in a merry circle. The trees all sparkle with thousands of red, yellow, purple, blue, and orange lights. Out back, Mary and Joseph stand over baby Jesus, Choo-Choo train’s chug in spot, stars twinkle with bright yellow bulbs, and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause wave in the distance. Kerkhoven, MN, the location of the happiest house on the block. Every year my breath is always taken away as my eyes struggle to soak in the utter abundance of Christmas spirit. I 'm smiling and we 're not even inside yet.

My dad and sister watched television, my mom crocheted, and I worked on my Kinderbuch for German class. As usual, everyone but me fell asleep. At 10:30, we packed all of our things into the back of the Tahoe and pulled around to he front to return the keys.
Christmas was always a big event in our family. We always spent Christmas Eve with my father's family and Christmas Day with my mom's. There was always a lot of food and many gifts, but for the first four or five years of my life, I had no clue what we were celebrating. I really don't think I cared too much, being a young child caught up in all the excitement. And I had something to call it. Christmas. That's all I really needed until I stumbled upon a Christmas special on television entitled A Charlie Brown Christmas. I must have been four or five years old at the time, I can't remember for sure, but I don't think I had started kindergarten yet. But I know I was curled up in a Sesame Street sleeping bag in front of our old television set, one of the small older models instead of the giant entertainment centers like we have now.
My most memorable Christmas is one from my past. I was about six years old. I clearly remember sitting in class on the last day of school before Christmas vacation anticipating the bell to ring and signify that the classes were finally over. As the bell rang, I ran out of that class, and once I got home I was ready in an instant to leave for my grandmother’s where I would spend my holidays. It was a two hour drive to my grandmother’s house. I was very impatient throughout the entire drive. I couldn’t wait to see my grandma, my cousin, and my aunts. To make things better, however, snow started to fall filling me with hopes of a snowball fight the next day.
