This year over Christmas brake I slept and took a trip. Most of the time I was sleeping if I wasn’t asleep I was playing video games. In the middle of brake I took a church trip to Gatlinburg to see bands play. And see some friends. Christmas morning I wake up my parents like always we go in to the living room and I pass out presents. We open are present together and see what we get. mom got a ring dad a tablet and me a phone with the day half way over already we head to my sister’s house to open gifts there everyone got what they wanted . It was a good day. The next day I embark on a journey to Gatlinburg the car ride was long and boring then we got there and went to the concert. To be fair it was very underwhelming the next
day we went to the morning service and after we explored the town. Then someone lost their wallet and people went crazy so we got to do nothing. And that basically sums up my winter brake I slept and played video games and took a trip in the end it was fun.
The night was young times were crazy and it was only the beginning of my senior year. It was still warm out and it still felt like summer; we didn’t know that we could have this much fun in one night, but we knew we were going to have fun no matter what. My first concert had to be one of the best nights of my life and one of my most favorite nights of my life during my senior year. It all began when my buddy Alex Kramper decided to give me a phone call and wanted to know if I wanted to go to an Imagine Dragons concert at the Verizon Wireless Amplifier Theater for only twenty bucks, I responded with a hell yeah, the concert was only in a weak. So we figure everything out and and figure that Alex Kramper, Tori Main, Trevor Waller, Kristen Kesler, and me are going to the concert, the next day we meet at Alex’s house to all ride in the concert together in Trevor’s truck, it was a planned booze cruise threw St.Louis. So I woke up early in the morning for the Saturday concert and do my chores early in the morning so I wouldn’t have to do them the next day all hungover. I finally finish all...
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
The weather that day wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. It was gloomy and it would drizzle once in a while. I enjoyed the drive up to LA, even with a little rain. It took us about an hour and 50mins. We left around 1:00 pm and arrived around 2:50pm. The good thing about the drive was that we didn’t get lost. The only bad part was the traffic. We both expected to get traffic but not as bad.
The night after my mom came home, my parents, sisters, and I watched one last movie together. It was great, spending time with my family, but most importantly with my mom. I will cherish every minute I spent with her.
Christmas is coming and it's always fun. It is not always just about the gifts, but getting gifts is fun. There is always a huge pile of gift under my grandparents tree. We usually eat lunch and then open up the gifts. I love christmas eve at home though. We go to the longest night service a are church. Then in the morning we open are stockings and presents.
Back to Christmas day, I woke up and ran out of the bedroom into the
I remember it as clear as day. It had been a fairly normal week, and a routine average day. It was a Friday and I was driving home from school in my trusty Toyota Tercel. I was getting into the dreaded mental set of the game that I would be playing in that night. I had to play in the band at halftime and it was the first performance of the season. The whole ride to my house I thought about the game and hoped and prayed that we wouldn't make huge fools of ourselves. Before I knew it, I was already home. I remember thinking that it felt like the shortest drive ever, getting to beautiful Rolling Oaks. When I got home, little did I know, that there would be a huge surprise waiting for me that would change my life forever.
Christmas is a time when family is a big part of home. I get to go home for winter break, my brother comes home from college, my uncle comes for a week, and my grandma comes for a couple of weeks. My brother comes back from the University of Baltimore County in Maryland. My uncle comes from Norwalk, Connecticut which
On February 29th of this year I went on an unforgettable adventure to Los Angles, California. It was a new experience for me because I have not been to the heart of L.A before, let alone anywhere that far with just me and my friends. The only other time I was ever close to getting an experience as such was with my basketball team when we travelled, but even that was supervised by the coach. This was an all-out trip, starting from just the way we chose to get there.
The car was hot and stuffy when I slipped back into the driver's seat. I found the most depressing music I owned and drove out of Glenwood as the sun started to set. Two more hours until I was home, two more hours of thinking what a terrible day I had gone through, and two more hours of cussing myself for being so naïve. The drive was a long one.
I filled this time by binge watching Greys Anatomy, sleeping, and eating. However, on the forth morning, tragedy struck. I woke up expecting to repeat my now familiar routine, but my mom had a different agenda. I can see her walking into my room with that mischievous smirk on her face like it was yesterday. Her words are somehow even clearer. “Meghan, we are going to shopping in Indy today and you are driving.” This sentence haunts me to this day. Driving doesn’t scare me, however I have my learning permit and a very bad sense of direction. So naturally I was not very excited, nor did I plan on acting like it, no matter how much it may have pleased her. In fact, one could have even gone far enough to say I was tempestuous (challenging vocabulary). The overall experience was interesting and I can confidently say that was my least favorite part of Christmas
My most memorable Christmas is one from my past. I was about six years old. I clearly remember sitting in class on the last day of school before Christmas vacation anticipating the bell to ring and signify that the classes were finally over. As the bell rang, I ran out of that class, and once I got home I was ready in an instant to leave for my grandmother’s where I would spend my holidays. It was a two hour drive to my grandmother’s house. I was very impatient throughout the entire drive. I couldn’t wait to see my grandma, my cousin, and my aunts. To make things better, however, snow started to fall filling me with hopes of a snowball fight the next day.
I had never really been to a big concert that had a well-known band. A couple of weeks before the concert I got some information about it, but really didn't think much of it. I talked with some friends about the band and we all casually decided to go get tickets for it. Little did I know what an absolutely spectacular time I would have.
After the show had ended, I felt slightly empty. I had waited years and months for that night, and it was over in the blink of an eye. Although I was sad that the show was over, I felt completely content. Now, when I hear their songs, I get to remember what it felt like to hear the band perform them live. I can watch the videos and try to wrap my mind around how it was real. Going to my first concert was an unparalleled experience that I will always cherish. The ambiance, the band’s performance and the unity the audience
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
