Christina Goldstein's Orthopedic Surgery

Christina Goldstein, an orthopedic surgeon located in Columbia, Missouri, has greatly impacted my life in various ways. She was involved in 2 of my 3 spine surgeries. She is educated, faithful, caring, and a woman. Amongst the surgeons practicing in the United States, a mere 19% are women, Her dedication for medicine has only furthered my interest to pursue a surgical career. Seeing such a prestige female surgeon gives me hope and drive to be as great as Christina.

Prior to my most recent surgery, I was in an unexplainable amount of pain. I would have rathered to use a bedpan than to get up and walk to the bathroom. The surgeon who scrubbed in on the surgery a week before was on vacation and was not able to check on me physically. Goldstein

came to the rescue. She traveled to a hospital where she rarely operated, assessed my situation, and then proceeded to diagnose and cure my problem. She had flowers and candy delivered to my hospital room on my birthday. She continued to visit me every morning and night to insure I was growing stronger. Due to her commitment to my case, we announced her to be the primary spine surgery for me.
Christina is aware of my dream to become a surgeon and has given me useful information to have a better chance at surviving the job. She suggested I job shadow her and I plan to do so before I graduate. She has given me tips and hints to enhance my college applications and open doors to more opportunity. I will continue to admire Goldstein and consider her an idol. I hope to receive the honor of working beside her in surgery in the future.
