Christianity is not a religion or philosophy but rather a love relationship and lifestyle. Most people believe that Christianity is a religion in which one has to earn the right to be reconciled with God. I believe that Christianity is a relationship between you and God, learning and understanding Him and through His Word understanding your purpose of life. In John 10:10 Jesus didn't say, " I have come that they may have religion" but rather "I have come that they may have life". Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we may have and maintain our relationship and fellowship with God. What we do for God is a reflection of our and fellowship that we have with Him.
Colossians 1:27 "....Christ in you the hope of glory", this is the revelation

Religion is man’s work towards God,his ways and efforts to reach out to God. Christianity, on the other hand, is God’s work in man. It’s a call to oneness with Divinity. A walk with God in righteousness and a call to the transcendent life of glory and love.
A Christian is one in whom God dwells, a partaker of the divine nature – an associate of the God-kind. This makes Christianity so sublime. God wasn’t satisfied to merely be with or live amongst us, He chose rather to take up His abode in the quarters of our hearts and that’s the beauty and glory of Christianity. It’s the life of God lived out through you. It’s the unveiling of the Living Word in a human life!
Until and unless this becomes ones understanding of Christianity, all you have will be mere religion. The essence of Christianity, the reason we go to church, pray, preach the Gospel and do the things we do as Christians isn’t because we’ve embraced a religion, but because we have received God’s nature and His life. That’s what Jesus brought to us. He made it possible for us to receive eternal life, the indomitable, impregnable, “uninfectable” life of God: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John
Christianity has grounded our lives in the living God as revealed through Jesus. This belief must be a choice people make as well as a gift we all receive within the Christian community. Christians must trust in and rely upon God as the source of everything in their lives. Faith is about believing in the trinity; God, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit as three in one. Christians follow Jesus’ teachings and answer the call to be his disciples in the world. Christian faith is looking forward to joining God in the future and entering into the coming kingdom that God has promised His followers through Jesus. Christians join together in reflecting with each other in the Christian community about the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ. Christians believe in the “new life in Christ,” which is the gift of God’s grace; such rebirth and personal assurance gives all new eyes to see the living truth in Scripture. The Christian worldview may differ in different denominations of Christianity but only exist because of their belief of God and Jesus.
Christianity is considered to be a living religion especially in terms of the reach for salvation. In the present through the practice of Baptism, Christians believe they die to the life of Original Sin and are born again to Christ, thus able to achieve Salvation. Thus, the tradition and sacred ritual of baptism implies that in order to be active adherents in the Catholic church, one must be baptised, just as Jesus was in the New Testament, “Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.” (Acts 2:38) Another way in which baptism demonstrate that Christianity is a living religious tradition, is through the teachings associated with the purpose of human existence. Through the act of Baptism, which is a direct display of the belief in Salvation through Jesus, the purpose of human life is presented in terms of adherent’s purpose to lov...
Christian theology is the thinking and talking all Christians engage in so they can learn
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. God himself will be with them as their God” (Revelation 21:3). The most confusing part of Christianity is the Trinity. Understanding God in three persons is difficult. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Humanity is to trust in the Father’s providential care; trust in the Son 's forgiving, justifying work; and trust in the Spirit 's comfort and witness to the truth of the Word (Johnson, 2014). Christianity will therefore change the way a person thinks and behaves. To live for Christ and have the Holy Spirit means that one dies to themselves. Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians
All of the religions in the world are great. However, there is one that always seems to catch everyone’s interest and that is Christianity. Christianity is one of the largest growing religions and traditions in the world. But why is it one of the largest growing religions in the world? What is Christianity? What are their teachings? Christianity is the religious tradition based on the life and teaching of Jesus of Nazareth also known as Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Everything that the Christians know about him comes from the four Gospels written by, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, which can be found in the New Testament. So, what is a Messiah? The Jews believed that the Messiah would come and present to them a new world free from Roman power and bring about a greater national prosperity. They were expecting not a humble servant of God but a literal king or military leader. Therefore, when investigators want to learn more about Jesus the Messiah and his teachings they can refer to the Four Gospels. Many Christians focus on four of Jesus teachings. They are: The “Kingdom of God” has arrived and is present among us, Love ...
There is a sin unto death; I do not say that he shall pray for it.”(I John 5: 16)
Christianity is mainly founded on the life, death, teachings, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christianity was developed from Judaism during the 1st century, it has several different branches and forms which accompany different beliefs and practices. Christianity
On the other hand, Christians believe that after you die you go into a period of dormancy and until the second coming of Jesus will you be woken up and decide your fate whether you go to heaven or hell according to how you have lived your life. Christianity teaches salvation from sin through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Through Him, the gift of eternal life is also attained. Christianity started as a missionary religion and has now become the world's most widespread faith. It focuses on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
...Today as a Christ follower, we will never be satisfied if our life is not bearing lasting fruit because we are not fulfilling the purpose for which we were “grafted “into the Vine. Let’s examine the “fruit” of our lives. Is it the kind of fruit that reveals the character of Christ? Let’s not settle for fruitless Christianity. God will do the work of making us fruitful – we must only abide, surrendering our lives to His mission of making disciples of all nations through us. The whole notion of mission is to stretch out to work the work of evangelism not through hierarchy, sovereignty, rather through humbleness, hospitality, affection love for the others. That is what Jesus who portrayed as the one who we do not deserve to untie His sandals straps in the first Chapter of John, later become feet washer, intimate with humanity leaving His equality with God.
Introduction: Christianity is a widely practiced religion in the world. The Christian belief revolves around ideas concerning the birth, life, death and rebirth of Jesus Christ. While it started with a small group of followers, many historians think the spread of Christianity throughout the world as one of the most successful spiritual missions in human history. Originally, Christianity came from Judaism, as Jesus Christ was a Jew, as were his twelve disciples and is monotheistic.
Christianity teaches that there is merely one God in all existence and that God created the universe. It also teaches that Jesus is the only way to be set free from the coming judgment of God and that Jesus desires his values and his standards to abound. Moreover, Christianity is the only religion that
I think that Carl Medearis says it perfectly in Speaking of Jesus on how Christianity and Jesus are not the same thing. Being a Christian is supposed to be having a genuine relationship with God not a religion with rules, and Christinity to many times has become something it is not. We tend to miss the point of what it truly means to be a Christian. We push our ideas and views on others trying to bring them to Christ but more often we push them away. He says "Rules and regulations began replacing the living daily relationship with the spirit of God." We care more about our oppinions and what we want to believe is true, that we don't take time to understand God and have that real relationship. We all want to be part of the Kingdom of God, and
Many modern-day Christians have a false depiction of what a life of Christianity entails. Many of these Christians believe that in order to get to Heaven they simply need to be baptized, recognize that Jesus is their savior, and ask for the forgiveness of their sins. Many only attend church when it is convenient for them and when it fits into their busy schedule. However, this is an elementary view of Christianity.
Christianity is one of the major religions practiced in the world, it is a monotheistic religion. Christians believe in God, they believe that Jesus is the son of God, and are inspired by his teachings. Although I knew
I believe Jesus died for our sins. Christianity to me is more of a relationship with God rather than just a religious practice. The bible to me is God last words and teachings in a matter of faith and practice.
