Islamic Worldview
There are many religious worldviews that will line up with parts of the bible and others that are the complete opposite. The truth is that there is only one worldview that Christians need to focus on. However, it is important for Christians to be able to know how their worldview compares to others. For this assignment I have chosen to compare and contrast Islam and Christianity.
The Question of Origin – According to the Quran, “Allah has created every animal from the water” (Quran 24:45). The Quran also says “We created man from sounding clay, from mud molded into shape (Quran 15:26). According to Genesis 2:7 (NIV), God created man from the dust of the earth. So according to the Quran, animals and man were created from a

Islam also enjoins upon every Muslim to exercise control of their passions and desires. Islam warns against vanity and excessive attachment to the ephemeral pleasures of this world.” (whyislam.org,13) In Islam, Muslims must seek righteousness. This is the next most important factor in Islam aside from worshipping Allah. In stricter parts of Islam if the laws are not followed consequences may result in death. Islam has a lot of laws similar to the Christian’s Ten Commandments. There were several commandments aside from the Ten Commandments that God said in the Old Testament. Since Jesus was the final sacrifice it is not longer required that these commandments be followed. However, anyone actively seeking God will want to follow His commandments. …show more content…
Islam requires a lot of works and a lot of worship. They don’t focus on a close, intimate relationship with Allah. For Christians, all that God requires of them is to believe in His Son. But a Christian will want to follow God’s commandments and plans for their life. Christians need to be careful when learning about other religions because its easy to think “well this religion isn’t so bad.” None of them lead to Jesus. Works do not get you into heaven. I do think it is important to learn about different religions so that it strengthens our own faith and we know how to talk to others about
What is a worldview? A worldview is an idea or thought that manifest in our brain but is originated from how we perceive and feel towards events that happen during our life. The opinions we express outwardly in action disseminates to others with whom we surround ourselves with, and vise versa. Collectively we take in worldviews and judge them to our own view, and settle on a conscious agreement to what we hold to be truth.
Many people would not believe that worldview would be involved in the topic of work, but it certainly is. Worldview stretches throughout almost every facet of our lives and is even an intricate part of work. Christian and secular viewpoints differ immensely when it comes to work. Many Christians believe that work is an intricate part of God’s plan for mankind while the secular viewpoint sees it as more of a personal, everyday activity the serves no more of a purpose that that of personal success. The secular worldview has distorted the context of work and only the Christian worldview can redeem it to its original context.
Allah, is deemed to be compassionate, merciful and honorable. Because he is compassionate, he calls all people to believe in him and worship him. Christianity and Islam teaches that when a person passes away, they are judged in the next life for eternal damnation or salvation. On the “Last Day” God will judge every person according to their deeds. And on that day, all of the dead will be resurrected and judged whether they go to heaven or hell based on their deeds. Christianity parallels to Islam in a sense of the belief of one god and the last day. In the Bible, one of the Ten Commandments states that, "I am the Lord thy God.....thou shalt have no other gods before me." Likewise, Islamic belief relates to Christianity by God being the creator of the universe and the last day by the christians believing that the dead will be resurrected. Since Christianity and Islam share a elemental base of belief, both religions deem their place of worship as a sacred place which ceremonies and practices are held. All the places for
The essay, “A Christian World View,” by Mickenzie Neely seeks to address some major themes that pertain to a Christian worldview. The essay, in summary, states that “serving others, accepting and giving grace, sacrifice, and justice are all essential to living for Christ.” This essay was presented in a way in which she used facts and scriptures from the Bible to support her point. This paper will analysis Neely’s main arguments and will evaluate my opinion of her writing. The main topics that apply to my Christian worldview are love, service, grace and forgiving.
The Christian worldview is centered on the Gospel and places their beliefs in the essential teachings of the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, and Jesus’ resurrection from the dead (DiVincenzo, 2015). This paper will explain who God is and what he created, what our purpose and nature is as humans, who Jesus was and what he did while on earth, how God plans to bring his people back into the right relationship with himself, and as a Christian how one is to live their life with an analysis of the Christian worldview.
There are four major differences between Islam and Christianity. The first one being that Christians believe in the Holy Trinity. This means God takes on three forms, the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. In the Islamic religion they believe in only one God, they call Alla...
Christianity and Islam are two of the world’s largest religions. The two are different in beliefs but are similar in origin. Like many religions both Islam and Christianity claim to be the one and only true way to God. Although Islam and Christianity differ in major ways, they also share some similarities.
In today’s Christian worldview there are many essential basics. God is the biggest element because he is the reason why there is a Christian worldview. Humanity and Jesus was created for God’s use. God used Jesus to restore humanity since the fall of humanity many people had turned against GOD. In my essay I hope to explain the importance of each essential component is to the Christian worldview and what I believe when it comes to the Christian worldview.

Christianity has been around for about 2000 years (The First Christianity, 2009). Even though it has been around for a long period of time, there is still are many people who question someone who has a Christian worldview. Some questions that come up are: Who is God? As humans what is our purpose in life? Who was Jesus? In this paper we will explore how an individual with a Christian worldview views God, humanity, Jesus and restoration.
The world religions of Islam and Christianity may have their differences to the naked eye, but when you take a closer look into their histories similarities arise. They both went through transformations that had drastic impacts on the way they were controlled and the way that the religion was taught to the followers. Christianity and Islam have both experienced splits between their members due to the fact that followers thought that their beliefs were the correct way to practice the religion. While these transformations are long in the past, the splits that have occurred within each religion continue to have lasting effects on Islam and Christianity to this day.
the gap that existed between man and God because of sin, has been bridged. His precious blood that was shed on the cross wiped away all our sins. Furthermore, the death of Christ means humanity received grace; “grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” According to John the Baptist in John 1:18, know one has set eyes on the Father, but through Jesus Christ, who is in close relation with God the Father, has made Him known.
At the first glance, Islam and Christianity appear to have nothing in common, however; as you go beyond the surface, they appear to have many similarities such as their beliefs of God, their beliefs of life after death, their holy scriptures, and their prayers. These religions, although are two entirely different beliefs, share a similar origin. Like many other religions, they both claim to be the one and only true way to God. In order to truly see and understand their similarities, one must date back to the rise and birth of Christianity and Islam. Throughout the course of this essay, I will compare the many facets that show the alikeness between these two growing religions.
There are numerous topics that can be compared and contrasted between the two faiths, however, a few topics can demonstrate the major similarities and differences. Islam and Christianity believe in one high power which is superior to everything in life. Pertaining to Christianity, Walsh and Middleton state, “All creation (which includes us as human creatures) is covenantally bound to God and is constituted essentially as a response to his laws” (1984, p. 51). Christians rely on God and make Him a priority.
Christianity and Islam have numerous purposes of contact. Anyhow there are a few things whereupon they disagree. The purposes of disagreement touch each vital religious teaching. To know the similitudes and dissimilarities in the middle of Islam and Christianity we ought to know these religions from the get go. The reason for this exposition is to present the beliefs of the real organizations of Christianity as far as what they are and how they contrast from Islamic beliefs.
