Shania Jackson is a mature Christian thinking of opening a Christian coffeehouse near Denver, Colorado. Her husband, Marvin, is open to making a contribution of capital to the business, but he has no interest in participating in its operation or management.
DECIDING ON THE BUSINESS ENTITY
Shania is in a great position to better, not only her own professional career, but to also have a sound impact on many others by starting a franchise of her Christian Coffeehouse. I believe that helping others succeed in Christ, and subsequently life, is one of the most Christian-like action to be done. The bible mentions that you must give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,

I implore you to think about this decision in great detail and time, even after I present my personal preference. Some buyers flourish as independent business owners, while others are more likely to be in the black as franchise owners. In reality, there are no easy answers to the independent business versus franchise dilemma. Instead, you will need to carefully evaluate the factors that differentiate the two approaches, talk with your family and other trusted advisers, and decide which one is right for you, for the bible says that you should trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. I will personally be recommending starting a franchised corporation, because I believe it fits your current level of knowledge and gives way to the best possibility of success for …show more content…
If you decided not to become a franchised company, and went forward independently, then you should also know that the name “The Gathering Place” has been trademarked as the name of a temporary shelter for the homeless and impoverished in Denver, Colorado (USPTO, 2013). This trademark was up for opposition on October 16, 2012, and it became a valid trademark on January 1st the year of 2013 (USPTO, 2013). I am sorry to say that even if you became an independent operator you would be unable to utilize that specific name, thus another reason to become a

How long will it take America’s streets to be clean? “In January 2014, there were 578,424 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the United States” (Snapshot of Homelessness, n.d.). The number of homeless found on the streets continues to increase and more and more are left without food and shelter. They are left to survive off whatever resources they can find, and most nights it is nothing. This epidemic is beginning to grow out of proportion and action must be made to help change the brokenness found on the streets. Covina is one of many cities that has a numerous amount of homeless. The Calvary Chapel Cornerstone Church should implement a program that reaches out to help the homeless find jobs within the community due to

While comparing her time, theology and spiritual practice we realize she lived during the time of immense change, similarly we are living on the edge of a challenged modernity. The name of my funeral establishment will be Serenity Gates and it will provide commemoration of a person's life and support to the family as they bring resolution and begin to attempt to move forward with their lives. They are financially sound, with relatively low debt. They are able to open a store in an impressive 16 weeks, and can recoup the initial investment in 3 years.
I chose to visit a catholic church, as I was interested in how the experience would be based on what I’ve heard others say about the religion and other notions I’ve come to gather. I ended up going to The Resurrection Catholic Parish, which is located on 21060 Sw Stafford Road in Tualatin, Oregon. The original Resurrection church was founded in 1978 as a mission of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Lake Oswego, Oregon. In November of 1992, the church was able to move to its present site, which is actually the site of a former equestrian center. After much remodeling with many donations, the church you see now came to be.
Not having to answer to a corporate boss is the dream of many and the flexibility that owning a business franchise creates provides this option. Success is not reached by simply creating a business, however. The level of success is measured by the size and efficiency of the business. Business growth is the driving force of the economy. The additional jobs and revenues created when a business expands allow the economy to grow at exponential rates. One of the fastest and most popular ways to increase the size of a business is to turn it into a franchise, which can then be purchased by individuals. Franchising provides opportunities that are beneficial to both the parent company and the purchaser. The company that owns the business can expand without having to pay such a large initial cost to open a new store since the franchise purchaser pays a cost to open the business. As well, the company can regulate many of the business activities so that there is a sense of consistency throughout all of the locations. The purchaser is allowed to use the trademarks and goods of the franchise which already have a large market presence. As well, they are provided with training and work standards by the company to help their business run smoothly (Kalnins & Lafontaine, 2004, p.761). Looking at the business model of the world’s largest food retailer, McDonald’s, provides great insight into franchising and business growth in general as well a better understanding of a global business that utilizes the franchising technique.
As I grew up in Vietnam, I only knew two types of Christians, which are Catholic and Baptist. As I am a Catholic, I decide to visit a non-Catholic church. I attended a service at St. John’s United Methodist Church on February 15th. This church is located in Springfield, Virginia. Compared to those Catholic churches I have been to, this church’s sanctuary is very simple.
There are many advantages and disadvantages when owning your own business. When you own you own business, it’s known as a sole proprietorship. But with any type of business, there will always be advantages and disadvantages.
Growing up, I was raised in a southern Baptist church setting. Every Sunday you were required to attend church which included going to Sunday school, first service, and second service. You were also required to be active in the church whether it be ushering or singing in the choir. For my foreign experience of worship I decided to attend a Catholic church. At first I was a bit skeptical about stepping outside of my background history of worship because I thought that attending a Catholic church may change some of my beliefs or practices. I will admit before my attendance to this Catholic Church I had negative thoughts and was determined that my paper would be only about negative experience that I had. Once I entered the church all of my negative thoughts were out of my mind. Prior to researching background information I really didn’t think that Catholics and Baptist had a lot in common, besides their belief in the faith of Jesus Christ. In my essay about my Catholic Church experience I will describe the physical setting of the church, tell you about the church service, and lastly tell
For my observation trip, I decided to visit St. Ignatius Church in Oregon, Ohio. I visited a mass at 11:30 on Sunday November 19. I decided to visit a catholic church because my family has no religious background whatsoever, and I decided that I could go with one of my good friends that way if I need to ask questions, she was there to answer them for me.
A franchise is simply investing money in a location or store, and then having the store become your own business after learning how to manage the entire business. You earn the majority of the profits, and you also don't have to worry about operations. You'll be taught by the company on how it run the entire business, and this is the reason why this is a huge and very easy way to become rich. Franchises require quite a hefty investment depending on the business you plan to buy. However, if the business is in high demand, there is profits to be made. Take for exMple the Cold Stone Creamery business. Countless people purchase one of their many franchises. The money is very good, the opportunities are endless, and the fact that there is no more need for advertising is what makes this more worth the investment in the long
